What this mod does
This mod will allow you to automatically roll greed, need, pass, or if the setting is disabled, let you manually roll on loot based on customized loot rules.
By adding customized rules, you can do things like roll greed on all Bind on Equip items, except in Karazhan. You could also let it ignore all Bind on Pickup items, to let you manually roll on them.

Re: Re: Re: Class Spec
Or is the addon just disabled - Like the addon is still loaded, but won't roll on anything? |

Re: Class Spec
When you copy files on the same drive, the permissions are set to whatever permissions of the folder you copied them into. When you move files on the same drive, the permissions of the files are kept from whatever they were. What usually happens is that you or some program extracted files into a temporary directory with different file permissions. Then, you or the program, moved the files instead of copying. As to which files / folders have permissions that don't let WoW write to the files I don't know. There are many ways of fixing this problem, one of which is just running wow as admin, but I don't recommend it. Resetting file permissions is another way (search tech support forums, or google on how to do this).

My mods won't remain active when relogging. Why is this?

Class Spec
So... what does the "class spec" option do?

Re: Pawn?
Your issue is solved in two global rules for each of your chars. The only reason I have more for myself is because I was working on several vanilla raids and using some tricky rules to speed up the process.

Pawn?
OK, so I've built an AtlasLoot list for my main. I decided to greed everything else just in case I want to sell / trade something. I've maxed enchanting, so DE later is not a problem.
I am working on several alts. I thought PassLoot could read Pawn values, too, but didn't see it in the description text. I'm not real concerned with Pawn vs. StatScore vs. WeightWatcher vs. ____________... just wanted to know which, if any, were supported. Thanks! |

Re: Re: Re: one thing missing?
Because it is increasing ambiguity, cluttering interface and essentially defeating the idea of this addon. If you need this or that item - set rule to need and be with it. If you don't need it, set it to something else. |

Re: Re: one thing missing?
Filtering based on when Need is/isn't available seems within the scope of PassLoot considering it already has to know that information anyway. It is effectively already doing so when Disenchant is/isn't available. (Greed when not DE, etc.) This is in fact a simpler type of filter than many of those already available within the addon. It doesn't even require the text scanning that many of the others do as its built in. When chaining instances, as is pretty common these days, a lot of loot one cannot use comes up naturally and Blizzard is already doing some simple per-class "filtering" for us by not allowing Need on many items. I'd often like to handle Need-able items myself while letting PassLoot handle all the ones I don't have that option on. Allowing PassLoot to enhance this existing filtering to efficiently separate the wheat from the chaff seems like a natural fit to me. So...honestly, why not? ![]() But all of this is really for the author to decide. |
