HealBot Continued   

That sound doesn't actually come with HealBot, it comes with another addon that you are using or were using at the time and HealBot sees it due to libsharedmedia.

I don't know if there is a setting to enable it and I'm missing it, but is it possible to have the Earth/Fire elemental pet show up on the Healbot frame when summoned?

I often summon my elemental during a fight and struggle to heal it while dpsing the mobs.

If the issue is the inability to modify the frame while in combat, can we get the option of showing them permanently, but they'd be inactive/disabled when no elemental is present?

Grid can do this. I suggest you download Clique & Grid (and some of grids plugins), and get rid of healbot.

Clique allows you to click cast on *any* unitframe like you do with healbots frames. Clique allows you to tie any spell or macro to a mouse/keybinding combo, in a fashion that is much easier than healbot.

Grid presents you with frames and indicators in each frames corners for missing/present buffs. Configuration is more ordered than healbot with sensible arrangement of options and the option to add unlimited amount of buffs/spells to monitor etc.

Another reason why healbot fails compared to Grid & Clique.

Assigning spells to key.mouse combos in clique :

1. open spell book
2. open the clique profile window
3. navigate to the spell you want
4. use the desired mouse / keycombo on the spell icon in the spellbook
5. ????
6. profit
I really can't believe that healbot still requires you to type in the name of the spell.

If you like Grid+Clique, you are free to use them, jadakren. Healbot has been around for a very long time, and I am sure that most players (including myself) have used it at one point or another, and many players continue to do so. There are different addons that accomplish similar goals for a reason. Everyone envisions how something should be done differently, and everyone has their own opinions as to how they would like something to work/look. If you have feature requests for the author, submit them as feature requests. Let's keep these comments civil and on topic, thank you.

I did use Grid+Clique for a while but found it too cumbersome to setup and it had a major issue (imo) regarding its inability to show pets, so I came back to Healbot. Grid probably fixed that problem since then, but I'm still pretty happy with the relative simplicity of Healbot and plan to continue using it. It covers most of my needs very well.

So, if there are no plans to add an 'inactive' bar, how about adding support for a focus bar? This way at least I can set my pet to be my focus and heal as needed. I'm sure there will be numerous other uses for such a feature.

I'm also surprised you cite the pet issue as a reason to going back to healbot...as it is one of two reasons i moved away from healbot, since grid demonstrated the ability to provide frames for pets of all kinds in all situations.

The other being that clique was easier to setup keybindings with and provided click casting on all frames and not just grid.

healbot would always crash when a warlock in my party enslaved a demon, often failing to provide a frame which is not good for mechnar.

I'm fairly sure the methods for displaying a untiframe that can change during combat would still apply for both pets or focus frames.

I think blizzard default unit frames provides a focus frame now. but then you would need to use clique or get healbot author to allow click casting on all unitframes present.

Seerah, the reason I suggest grid+clique over healbot is that what I notice in raids is that people using healbot often fail to peform their duty because they say it crashed at the crucial time.

But I will say that neither healbot or grid are memory friendly...for that I would recomment to use oUF and oUF_Grid with clique.

I was wondering... what addon/program was used to track CPU Usage of Healbot?

Is it possible to set the second line to align too? Usually I can align the first line, but the second is always centered.
