This is a relatively simple modification of the minimap to allow adjustment of the shape, transparency, visibility of certain default buttons, scroll-wheel zooming, coordinates display, etc.
Right-click anywhere on the mini-map to display the options menu.

I really appreciate all of the nice comments, thanks guys!
Soren: There are mods that let you move all of the minimap buttons, and the code in them is fairly complicated. I agree that minimap button moving should be part of this mod, and I will probably add it (for at least the main buttons) in the near future, but if these other mods work then maybe that's a good solution for now? If it were only the mail icon, then I'd just make the change and call it done, but there's still the problem of the zoom buttons overlapping stuff, and not looking right when the minimap is set back to the default circle shape... Well, gimme a few days and I'll see what I can do. ![]() |

Mail indicator flag.
The mail indicator flag is overlapping battleground queue icon. I just edited the LUA to shift it over a bit and solved the problem, but it would be nice to have it coded in so that automatic pullls from the SVN have the fix too.
---start--- MiniMapMailFrame:ClearAllPoints() MiniMapMailFrame:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", -70, -132) ---end--- Thanks, JS, Blackhand |

When you're not tracking anything, the tracking button should be hidden, so I think you have another addon that's affecting the tracking button.

Working just awesomely for me now, dunno what you did but it all works
![]() Whoa. I just logged on to my rogue alt for the first time in like 2 months, and somehow I'm tracking herbs and ore at the same time. That... shouldn't be possible. Now I'm afraid to die because I'll probably lose it >_< |

I love the new FuBar/minimap button and the ability to move the minimap. Thank you!

Sorry about the libraries, I've finally applied for and received SVN access to WowACE, so going forward I'll have the latest (and correct) versions of the libraries when I upload a new version.
The map moves when you scale it due to the way WoW does scaling. The position of the map is also scaled in relation to the main window. Not much I can do about that, I'm afraid. The tracking button works with my Hunter, and the only thing I'm doing to the tracking button is re-sizing it, so I can't imagine what's causing your error. I'll see if I can find out what's happening. |

When I log in with only RMM enabled, I get first:
RicoMiniMap\libs\FuBarPlugin-2.0\FuBarPlugin-2.0.lua:17: FuBarPlugin-2.0 requires AceLibrary. After clicking Okay for that one, I get these repeating until I log out: [string "MinimapZoom:OnUpdate"]:1:attempt to call global 'RicoMiniMap_updateLocText' (a nil value) And the minimap appears default, RMM won't load at all. However, loading RMM with all of my other mods (an extremely long list, I admit) it works perfectly. Apparently one or more of my other Ace2 mods is providing a better/missing library. I tried fixing the line in the toc that asks for "AceLibrary-2.0.lua" when the proper file is simply named "AceLibrary.lua" but it doesn't make the errors go away, it simply gives me a new error about requiring AceOO-2.0.lua. That error will go away if I have FuBar and one plugin enabled in order to provide the proper library(ies). I love the new interface, but I have one small comment. If you set the gap so that the map is perfectly aligned with the FuBar, and then scale it larger or smaller, it will no longer be aligned -- the gap itself also scales larger or smaller. I don't often change the size of my minimap, but I can see how this might be an issue for some people. And... I just noticed my Tracking is *missing*. Where is it? *boggles* I'm used to having a little tracking icon even when not tracking, from Fizzwidget Track Menu... it is missing. I tried opening my spellbook to turn on my tracking, and ended up with an Action Blocked message for another unassociated mod (in this case, SpecialTalent) and am unable to use tracking at all unless I turn off that mod. Why does RMM break two of my other favorite mods?

Overlaping
BG and mail icons are overlapping for me, other then that seems very nice, haven't noticed any bugs yet. And the range for gap is sufficient, at least in my case.

I'm looking for comments on the Top Gap and Right Gap menu options... Is the range sufficient? Do you have a better idea of how to adjust the gaps (other than making the minimap movable)?
Also, I've almost finished adding a fully square options. I just can't decide how to add it to the configuration menu. It'll probably be a sub-menu with three options, if I can figure out how to make them radio buttons instead of checkboxes. ![]() Ricowan |
