Blizzard controls the menu appearance and layout, there's not much I can do about it without possibly tainting the whole menu system and breaking it. Someone had trouble with the show/hide options being inaccessible because WoW was positioning the top of the menu off the monitor, reducing the number of titles in that menu level fixed the problem.

Good to hear that. Obviously (just see my ss for that ) it's not a problem for me, I was merely trying to give an idea. If you think it's ok like this, by all means leave it like this

Odd auto-swap issue, but with Warrior only

Mundocani- Thank you for continuing your work with Outfitter. It makes my playtime both easier and more fun.

As of a few weeks ago, I have been experiencing a strange issue with my Warrior. As far as I've noticed, the issue occurs with my Warrior only. The issue is as follows:
-When I manually swap weapons (using a macro, usually) or a trinket (by drag-dropping with the mouse or automatically with the addon TrinketMenu), a few seconds later Outfitter will attempt to replace the items in those slots with the items in my "normal" set.
-This occurs only when Outfitter is enabled, and when "Disable Automatic Changes" is not enabled (sorry, double negative, but that's how the menu option is labeled).
-This occurs even after performing an /outfitter reset command for that character.
-This occurs only with my Warrior character, none others that I have noted so far.
-While I am not certain, the automatic change seems to occur only after performing a combat action, or when changing zones.

Thanks again!

Re: Odd auto-swap issue, but with Warrior only

Thanks Hammer, I'll try to reproduce it. It sounds like the stance events are re-firing on zoning, though I'm not sure why that'd be happening. Outfitter remembers the previous stance and shouldn't fire an event unless it changes.

Which script is attached to the outfit which keeps overriding the others?

No script at all - it's my "Normal" set. No script is attached, which is why it's so puzzling that this is happening. And I've deleted all the preconfigured sets for stances.

As I'm writing this, my little Warrior is mounting up. The "Riding" set switches in her boots with spurs. And a few seconds later, her normal boots get put back on. Puzzling.

That is really strange. Clearly it's the automation system since it stops when you disable that, but where is it coming from? Double-check all your scripted outfits to see if any are set to "Custom" -- perhaps something happened to one of the scripts that's making it mis-fire.

I am writing this as I perform the test:

1- Log in
2- Type, "/outfitter reset"
3- Un-check "Show in item comparisons" (because this option doesn't play well with one of my other mods, EquipCompare)
4- Delete all pre-configured sets EXCEPT "Normal"
5- Confirm that the "Normal" set has no script - confirmed, "Script (None)"
6- Manually swap in different weapons and trinkets
7- Mount up, go through the Shattrath portal to the Undercity

...and now I can't reproduce the issue. <sigh> Previously, going through the portal, or changing stances, or triggering any skill while in combat, would have attempted to swap items back to the "Normal" set.

Let's try some more:

8- Create a "Riding" set. Added boots with spurs to that set, set is otherwise empty (i.e. an "Accessories" set, not a "Complete Outfits" set)
9- Manually swap in different weapons and trinkets
10- Mount up, change stances, dismount

...again, nothing incorrect happened - the boots got swapped during mounting/dismounting as they should, nothing else was changed. Previously, mounting or dismounting or changing stances would have triggered the "Normal" set.

Argh, I hate it when an issue disappears on its own during testing. Sorry for the trouble - I'll report back with test results if the issue recurs.

edit: So here is my little Warrior, about two hours after I wrote the above, just standing there minding her own business, when her shield un-equips itself! Her "Normal" set has a two-hander, she happened to be wearing a weapon and shield combination at the moment - the shield just de-equipped. I was doing NOTHING at the time, not even moving the mouse around or typing in chat.

edit2: It happened again - a few minutes after I reported above, I hearthed her, and a few seconds after I hearthed, her shield de-equipped again. The main hand weapon stayed in place, but the shield was removed.

Shadow Priest experiencing issues as well.

I had to stop using Outfitter myself. It would constantly trigger the global cool downs on my shadow priest. I spent 2 hours narrowing the problem down to find that Outfitter was the culprit. Nothing I could do would prevent the erratic triggering of the global cool down, a condition that made leveling her a real chore.

I'm not sure whether other toons are being affected by the problem.

I do miss using it but have no choice. Since the behavior didn't appear until after the patch, I thought it had something to do with the code Blizzard put in to its outfit manager. No, I did not even enable it, not on any toon. However, I had not leveled the shadow priest extensively for several weeks before the patch.

Yes, upon testing, the problem occurs when Outfitter is the only addon installed. No error messages appear, but the behavior exists with Outfitter and doesn't when Outfitter is disabled.

I am going to try deleting ALL of the saved variable files for Outfitter and see if that resolves the issue, although hours of work customizing 21 toons will have gone down the drain.

I just compared Blizzard's Equipment Manager to Outfitter and WOW, Outfitter kicks ass.

Keep up the good work on this very complete UI.

Re: Shadow Priest experiencing issues as well.

You probably have an outfit scripted to do something like summon random pets.

i'd like to submit a feature request to this already awesome addon.

can vanitypets be added to an outfit? i'd like to auto-equip one of my fishing related vanitypets whenever i switch to fishing gear, my squire whenever i'm at the tournament grounds, my teldrassil sproutling whenever i'm in treeform etc.

i know these minipets are not really gear, but it would be really cool to have them summoned automaticly whenever i switch to a specific outfit.

Mundocani,

I am having issues with my warrior as well, but in my case it isn't with the shield unequipping, it's the second two-handed weapon in use on a Fury warrior with Titan's Grip talented. It happens upon the following actions being taken:

Zoning
Logging in
The rare "random" occurence

I do not use any scripted outfits. I prefer manual control over my character at all times (one of the reasons I'm so good at playing WoW despite the physical method of how I play), so scripted outfit changes and any other automation are undesired by me, thus not used.

One more issue I have with regard to my warrior and Titan's Grip is the inability for Outfitter to "see" a two-handed weapon in the equipment slot flyout when manually equipping weapons. I have to instead equip the item from my bag (or macro). I'm hesitant to blame Outfitter outright since I don't know if it's an Outfitter limitation or a Blizzard built in UI limitation that just never got fixed.

Regarding these issues, only my warrior is affected.

Here's hoping you might have some insight into these problems or know if I'm doing something wrong on my end.

I think your Outfitter is not updated because those sound like bugs that I fixed already. If you're pretty sure that it's updated you can double-check by looking at the title bar of the Outfitter UI. It'll show the actual version you're running so you can be sure it got updated and put into the right place.

Two problems I have incountered

First and formost outfitter is an add on I never go with out. This is not in anyway a complant.

I am not sure what is happing to my out fitter I have the latest version.
1. I can not delete an outfit or use any of the arrows or wheels in the outfit window on any of my Toons.

2. On my hunter ther is no aspect of the Dragonhawk pre made choice in my list.

I made one as new but it dose not work correctly with the ASPDH button. When I hit the ASPDH button on my tool bar from Blizzard my outfit dose not change. Un less I go into charector menu and select my made outfit of ASPDH.

I do not know if this is a bug or if I have done somthing wrong.
