Mundocani, I completely agree with your position. I think Blizzard is setting a terrible precedent, and I have removed my mods from distribution as well.

For those that believe Bliz has acted honorably: at no time did they discuss this with ANY of us. Ever. They simply dropped a bomb. We went from "It's ok" to "you're banned" without any warning.

If you are going to punish someone, don't you think you need to set up ground rules first? You don't just punish someone if they break a rule that you have never stated to them.

That is not how you treat either customers or value add partners.
Wow, that's quite the 'holier than though' attitude. Why in the hell would they discuss this with you, or any other addon maker for that matter? It's THEIR product. Your addon doesn't exist without their product, therefore, you have ZERO rights in the WoW world.

And as for the Outfitter guy....stop freakin whining! Quite ironic about this, considering your addon will be rendered useless once 3.1 drops.

Why delete the current version?

This addon is currently only a 0-byte code file and TOC. Everyone should report it as bad and just let WoWI remove it.

Greywolf you are a giant jackass.

Superfula if you really think blizzard will manage to make their equipment manager as good (or even a very small fraction as good) as Outfitter, you probably think

OBAMA IS GOING TO BRING CHANGE.

Good Luck there buddy

I am going to miss Outfitter, because it has features Blizzard's implementation will not have, such as auto-generating sets based on a stat bias and event-driven set switching.

But I'm sure your gameplay is as inane as your reasoning, so you won't miss it. You tell one developer that they have no rights in WoW, and then chastise another for "whining" when they exercise their right to assert their opposition by boycotting WoW addon development. Stop freakin whining! By your reasoning, as an Outfitter addon user, you have zero rights, too. And if you don't use Outfitter, your insubstantial whining here over their whining is pure-fail, brass-plated lol.

Thank you very much for resuming the distribution of Outfitter. I've been a long time fan of this addon, and I really appreciate how Outfitter has developed into such a great addon.

Blizzard pulled their Outfitter rip-off at the last minute. It will NOT be live at 3.1 (today).
Honestly, I can't blame Mundocani for being unhappy. Didn't Blizzard also rip off Group Calendar? Isn't that another mod Mundocani wrote?

I am torn because I like having these features built into default WoW so I don't have to keep updating the mods when a patch drops, but I really wish Blizzard would hire this talented addon writer instead of implementing his ideas in-game and doing a very poor job of it. At the very least, a polite nod to his hard work would be appreciated.

Thanks, Mundocani. I appreciate the great addons you have written.

I would like to echo Cowberty's post. This is quite simply one of the greatest add-ons ever written for WoW. I and about a million others appreciate you re-releasing it, and I wish you the best in all things to come.

OMG THANKS VERY MUCH..

Blizz FAILED at us by screwing up their gear manager and not releasing it with 3.1

Even if Blizz had finished with their outfit manager and released it today, it still wouldn't have had all the nice features that Outfitter has. This is such a polished and beautiful addon, I hated playing without it. I quit playing my druid for awhile because I just wasn't ready to deal with manually changing gear between cat and bear.

I'm glad to see this back on the table. Thanks Mundocani!

Many thanks.

first, blizzard NEVER talked about the great work of Mundocani and others addons authors

then, they added a calendar, great , but no word about the beautiful GroupCalendar and how it was difficult to develop a distributed calendar without wow server support for that (!)

then they announce a clone of outfitter (but never speaking about outfitter... )

then they drop a new addon policy, all about one or two commercials addons but a huge slap in the addons community.

then silence.

then, surprise! no more clone of outfitter in 3.1 (too much difficult... hey! now they can acknowledge Mundocani's work ?)

and the only answer of Blizzard is they're listening and in a few weeks they will enforce the new policy by all means...

OMG! how much addons authors should be pissed ? a lot.

Hopefully they remember people love their work, the game is still great, and blizzard is not against them, it was all about some a little too much commercials addons but man, blizzard failed here.

And the paypal button is back again. It's time to support addons !

Thank you, really... thank you

Regardless of the Blizzard UI Addon Policy, Outfitter is your work, as such you were free to do with it as you wished, you decided to make a statement of principals which was/is respectable even though it left me and allot of users sad to be left without it.

I don't know how much this cost your position, but I for one thank you for your generosity in allowing us to use your work once again, and not be left adrift on 3.1.

And again thank you, because I seriously don't think you hear it enough these days (if people tried to do what you do they'd probably understand better).

BUG - Problems equipping dual 2H weapons

I love the addon, and thank you for continuing to update it. I appear to have stumbled across a minor issue when attempting to equip two 2H weapons automatically. I am a dual spec Prot/Fury (TG) warrior. In fury spec, I use a 2h Sword and a 2h Axe. Initially I setup Outfitter to swap gear when I swapped stances. I noticed that when I switched back to Beserker stance, Outfitter would only equip my main hand weapon, and put a ? in the off hand weapon checkbox. It does equip the shield when I switch back. If I click on the empty off hand box, it only shows my shield and one handed sword. Hope this is enough info to help identify and squash this bug
