OzRaid  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v1.81 BETA3
by: Ozymandius [More]

Reccomended with: oRA2, Clique!

OzRaid is a raid/party window 'construction kit', designed to let you build clickable showing health/mana/buffs/debuffs/etc. for raid members and or targetted mobs.

Unlike other mods, this lets you build custom windows depending on what information you need only. For example, a raid leader may want to see the whole raids health status along with the major buffs (AB, Fort, Pink paw, etc.) so they can see at a glance if everyone is buffed & ready. Healers can show certain groups or classes (or the CT/oRA2 Main Tanks) on special big bars that only show current HoTs & debuffs, with the health deficit shown in the new 'Big K' numbers that show you quickly & easily what size heal to use. DPS'ers can make a replacement for the default 'Main Tanks Target' window, which will not only show raid icons (very useful for targetting when the raid leader is shouting 'kill the orange' in a mass of mobs), but also can be customised to show only the debuffs you care about - such as Curse of Elements, Sunders etc.

You can even make non-clickable info windows, for example all the raid members within 30 yards who are in groups 2 & 4 who dont have your class buff. These let you make reminders that will pop up if anyone in your assigned groups requires a rebuff & they are in range. There are too many different combinations to list, so the best thing to do is start with a preset and play with all the options till you work out what you want!

Basically, for each window you can specify the input units (i.e. my party, the raid, targetted mobs, Main Tanks, etc.) and then apply filters (hide based on class, group, etc.) Finally pick the display options that suit you, and which buffs/debuffs you want to see on the bars. Simple!

Fully compatable with Clique & other click-to-cast mods that use Cladhaire's system for registering clickable windows, so I reccomend using these for click-cast decursing & the like!

Frequently Asked Questions:
---------------------------

'I made a window but I cant click on the bars!'
With patch 2.0, Blizzard forces any 'clickable' window to be locked during combat. What this means is the unit ID for a bar cannot change in combat. So, if you have selected any option in the OzRaid options that would require the units to change (i.e. filtering or sorting out people based on range, health status). These options are still there after 2.0 so you can make info windows such as an emergency monitor, but unfortunately this means you cannot click to target or cast.

'So.. isn't it like CT Raid Assist?'
No. All it does is show unit health/mana bars (and raidicons, buffs etc.). It doesnt provide any of the other cool things CT does (like boss warnings, and many more) This addon was written simply to provide a smaller & neater overview of the raid than the CTRaid and Blizzard party frames. But it now does so much more.
It also works in parties & solo as well as raids

UPDATE: CTRaid is apparently discontinued, so to get the same effect, use oRA2 instead. Ozraid will integrate with this to show main tanks (& allow you to set main tanks via the right-click menus on the player bars)

Slash Commands
-------------------
/ozraid [n]
/oz [n]
Open/close window [n], if no window specified (orit can't find it) it opens the options instead.

/oz reset
Reset config to default (one raid frame, one raid pets frame, a Main Tanks, and a Main Tanks Target window, all with the default buff config applied)

/ozbuff record
Start recording buffs/debuffs seen. these will appear in the buff panel under 'RECORDED'. There are a LOT of them! Use this to add buffs/debuffs that are not already listed, i.e. boss debuffs & the like.

/ozbuff stop
Stop recording!

Please tell me the name & texture name of any you find using this, and I can add them to the list of known buffs

Please read the README in the zip file - much more detail & some tutorial frames!
Any comments, questions - use the Mod Thread!

If you REALLY like it, or just want to be nice to me, then please feel free to bung us some beer money: Click here to lend your support!

v1.81b2
-----------------
Fixed healing prediction thingy

v1.81b2
-----------------
Fixed a couple more bugs :)

v1.81b
-----------------
Initial bugfix for Cataclysm
Added a buff record start/stop button in the options, cos I haven't added any new buffs/debuffs yet
Been too busy with a new baby to look at this till now, so please be patient - it's only a beta version for now!
NOT TESTED IN A RAID YET - please post any missing buffs/debuffs you want tracked, and any crash bugs you find!

v1.80b
-------------------
Added some stuff for icecrown debuffs (first 4 bosses only)
Please let me know on what debuffs you need, remember you can use '/ozbuff record' to record them until I get round to updating
BETA: LibHealComm is now version 4.0, and includes the wrapper so it is compatible with 3. Unfortunately, I can't get online again until Sunday so not fully tested!

v1.79
-------------------
Updates for new patch
Updated LibHealComm
Added debuffs for first two colliseum bosses

v1.78
------------------
Fixed bug with debuff count not hiding
Added more buffs/debuffs to the defaults including lots of Ulduar boss ones

v1.77
-----------------
MAJOR UPDATE...
Fixed a load of bugs ;)
- Embedded LibHealComm, so you dont need to install that seperately
- NEW BUFF SYSTEM & Options overhaul
Can configure buffs to show in/out of combat, can set colours for debuffs, can force buffs to hide - loads of stuff! Added some basic Ulduar boss debuffs - you can add your own using the recorder as you need em (see below). Pretty cool having stone-gripped people highlighted with white bars - makes healing them a doddle.
- 'Buff Recorder' (BETA)
Type '/ozbuff record' to start recording buffs seen. You can then select them in the buff panel (under the heading 'RECORDED') and set them to show/colour/etc. This means you can add your own buffs/debuffs if they are missing! Wooo! Type '/ozbuff stop' to stop recording.
- If all goes horribly wrong, type '/oz reset' to get a default config back.
- Can COPY windows! Much easier setting up multiple windows for groups/classes by just copying from one that works nicely.
- Added many more buffs to the list, including flasks! Useful to set these to show out of combat if you are raid leading ;)

KNOWN ISSUE: 'Mana by Class' aggregated input is totally broken. I don't know why, but it is :)

v1.75b
-----------------
(Sneaky beta release pre-patch. Im expecting patch to only need a version change anyway)
LibHealComm-3.0 supported - see Incoming heals! Wooo!!

Some minor bugfixes (Arcane Blast wont show up as dispellable! I am planning a complete rework of buff/debuff display when I get the time for it)

v 1.74
-----------------
Edited ToC for OzRaid... It seems that in 3.0.3, Blizz have screwed up the Dependancies/OptionalDependancies so it ends up trying to load the options panel before the main addon (causing the 'bad argument to ipairs' errors).
That will teach me to update the day before a patch *sigh*

v 1.73
-----------------
Fixed debuff color display
Fixed some timer issues
Fixed the 'oRA is null' bug if you didnt have oRA installed
Some other small things

v 1.72
-----------------
Fixed some bugs with the curable buffs/debuffs Added new Hots: Riptide, Wild growth, Earthliving (Please let me know any other buffs/debuffs I need to add still)

New: oRA2 integration! Now CTRaid is no more, I have added enough to OzRaid so you can set Main Tanks via right-clicking a name, cooldown timers, and access to 'Shared media' bar textures

Now your own buffs get prioritised (appear first) and other peoples buffs are smaller & slightly alpha-d

Added a mini-tooltip to show cooldowns during combat (so you can see who has a rebirth available for example)

v1.70 BETA
Ok, I have made a dual-version so it should work on WotLK beta
NOTE: I havent added any WotLK buffs/debuffs yet cos I dont know what they are :)

Changes:
Added more options for showing pets. you can now specify pets by class so you can ignore temporary pets like mage/priest ones. Makes it more stable in raid view during combat.

Removed CTRaid readycheck support - too buggy.
Improved Blizzards Readycheck support (just use /readycheck)

More to come, so this is only a beta type build!
please report any errors you find :)

and thanks for this addon it seems to be really really great, I just need to test it in raid but our server is currently down
Slight correction, it should in fact be:
Code:
local Plugin = Clique:NewModule("OzRaid")
Plugin.fullname = "OzRaid"

function Plugin:Test()
    return IsAddOnLoaded("OzRaid")
end

function Plugin:OnEnable()
    OzRaidCustomClick = self.OnClick
end

function Plugin:OnDisable()
OzRaidCustomClick = nil
end

function Plugin.OnClick(button, unit)
    if not Clique:OnClick(button, unit) then
	if button == "LeftButton" then
		TargetUnit(unit)
	elseif button == "RightButton" then
		Clique:UnitMenu(unit)
	end
	return false;
    else
	return true;
    end
end
Otherwise clique will perform your custom click command, and then target that raid member as well. Quite annoying to lose your target all the time.

Great mod. I've replaced CTRA completely with it. Couple things I'd like to see: 1) More than just the 8 configurable groups. Twice as many would be hot 2) More buffs/debuffs. I'd like to be able to see what potions people in my raid have.

Keep up the good work!

I prefer a FuBar plugin... FuBar plugins are independant and will sit on the minimap if FuBar isn't present. Drop down should inlude a list of all raid windows and if you check on it will show a specific window and uncheck will hide it. An option such as show all and hide would be nice too, and ofcourse configure windows.

Not saying keybindings arent a bad idea, in fact I think they are a good idea, I just think the FuBar would be better.

A seperate localisation text file is on my list of things to do, and if you do make a localised version, just bung a link in a comment here so other people can grab it.
When I first wrote this, I didnt know if it was going to work, let alone be of use to anyone else. I do plan to have aseperate localisation text file, maybe in the next version - I have a lot I want to do for the next version tho, so cant promise it will be very fast. However, once dne it will make the whole thing much easier to handle.

For the checkboxes, they are all held in an array in OzRaidOptions.lua, called 'OZ_OptionsCheckboxes'. Just edit the value fr 'text' in this array for each button.

Ozy, I want to confirm that although your mod dosent claim to support clients other than English, it does work perfectly on at least the Chinese client so far. Cheers for that~

My question is that, when I looked into the luas to find out what I could do to localize some of the checkbox options for those guildies who are interested in your addon but cant read English, I realized Im just unable to get a clue where I should look at. I have translated some Ace2 addons before, and those addons normally have a ready-made localization.lua or something like this which lists everything that could/needs to be translated and I just need to replace the listed text with the target language and things done. So Im wondering if it's convenient for you to add something like this for the love of translators please!
(ahh and Im assuming you dont mind a little localization attempts with your addon^ ^)

@Nemnoch
I'm planning on generalising the buff/debuff stuff so you can do that sort of thing. Can't do it easily at the moment - I only show the debuff if you personaly can dispell it.

@staroceanxc
Hmm - that should be fairly easy to add, nice idea
Im planning a fairly major rework, so probably wont be an update for a bit (barring bugs)

A window like that (sorted by range) would greatly help the ranged people down.. I hope I made it more clear this time.

Either a way to manually enter the names of debuffs or we could compile a list of debuffs that are important enough to earn their own window in our UI.
Well, if it's possible..

Been thinking of the logic and that might be beyond the scope of what you want your addon to do.

for those who use clique I've written a plugin for it to work with OzRaid

here is what to do:
go to the Clique\Plugins folder:

1. open the Plugins.xml file and add the following at the end just before the </Ui> TAG:
<Script file="Clique_OzRaid.lua"/>
2. open notepad and paste the following:
--
local Plugin = Clique:NewModule("OzRaid")
Plugin.fullname = "OzRaid"

function Plugin:Test()
return IsAddOnLoaded("OzRaid")
end

function Plugin:OnEnable()
OzRaidCustomClick = self.OnClick
end

function Plugin:OnDisable()
OzRaidCustomClick = nil
end

function Plugin.OnClick(button, unit)
if not Clique:OnClick(button, unit) then
if button == "LeftButton" then
TargetUnit(unit)
elseif button == "RightButton" then
Clique:UnitMenu(unit)
end
end
end
--
save the file as Clique_OzRaid.lua in the Clique\Plugins folder and that should be working. (It's working for me )

Oh no, just as I thought my todo list was getting manageable...

1) Possibly... That can go in the whole preset/stored config pile. I like the ideaof havingtriggers for various setups. Can't promise it anytime soon tho

2) Um... maybe. I don't use either atm, will have to investigate. Low priority one Im afraid.

3) The CTRA integraion is basically limited to reading the CT states for buff timers/etc. for the tooltips. I didnt think oRA handled these (it replies to requests by CTRA users, but I dont know if it stores the info itself). Never heard of BigWigs I'll look into them when I get the time.

Bar textures are .tga files - bar1.tga to bar11.tga. Feel free to replacewith your favourite textures

At present, I only show the icon for a debuff you can dispell. I dont need to know what the debuff is, just show the first dispellable one. My plan is to let it show up to 4 debuffs in the 'buff' slots when a player is debuffed, and let you filter which debuffs to sow (possibly all to be honest, as you rarely get more than 4 debuffs, exceptmaybe on Chromo at which point your kinda screwed when you get your 5th one anyway) Filtering them would require knowing all the possible debuff textures paths that you want to show/hide (not as easy as just knowing the debuff name). It was bad enough having to get all the texture paths for buffs

Oh, and as to the memory, my excuse is that I have 8x as many windows than Perfect Raid I'm looking into it - currently adding a more allocate on demand ability so it starts of much smaller on load. If you open 8 windows it will still use the sameamount as now, but forless windows it will use less

here are some feature requests:
1. since its already integrated into ctra, would it be possible to save window layouts per boss encounter and let the addon automatically switch layouts when one of the ctra bossmod get activated?

2. a plugin in fubar/titan panel for easy configuration and layout switch would be awesome

3. ora2/bigwigs users need some love please!

edit: 4. make the bar texture a .tga file so that some of us can customize it to fit our general UI appearence, or simply give us more bar texture options please~
I agree with all those suggestions also... fubar/titan mods is least important but easiest.

Also how do I add debuffs bosses use? Example would be Maexxna wall wrap, Curse of the Plaguebringer, etc. Perhaps we could go through and make a list of certain important debuffs in boss encounters and have them added to the list of buffs/debuffs.

Also integration into BigWigs, CTRA_BossMods, etc would be nice to automatically load those windows when their respective get activated.
