WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) is a World of Warcraft addon which helps you to manage your whispers by making them into a classic instant messenger interface such as AIM, Yahoo and MSN.

Workaround to bring back the Checkbox "Enable window fading effects." (and 2 more) in the WIM Options -> Display Settings:

Change CoreOptions.lua at line 360 from:

Looks like there is an error with your Sub-Menu creation, maybe you can take a look on it.

It is one of my favorite and it is a tool that I absolutely love. Unfortunately, the new patch accidentally deleted mine the moment I walked through the dark Portal, and with it a few options seemed to have vanished or have been bugged. I can no longer make the windows Opaque one hundred percent of the time, which I did because I often level, and have my mouse elsewhere instead of on the chat window. Now, if I'm not hovering over it with the mouse, they turn transparent. Secondly, new chats or responses to chats do not seem to make the windows pop up. I'm not sure if this was an option, but if it was it's gone now. I remember it happening not an hour before (when it got deleted. T.T). Thank you again for the addon, and I hope I didn't just add to your plate!

This has nothing to do with WIM. Another addon is whispering you that you dispelled a buff, if it seems to go away when you disable WIM it may be because you're not noticing the whispers in your chat frame, or maybe you have whispers disabled in your chat frame.

I like the IM window system for normal in-game whispers (since I don't actually get a lot of them) but prefer the Launcher's IM system for when I'm talking to BNet friends during the game (since I can just minimize the IM (I play windowed) to the task bar until I'm ready to reply), since my friends tend to get chatty, but I don't like that it pops up in game, too. I've tried going through all the options and ticking off to not pop up but it still does it. I love this addon for normal in game whispers but not for BNet/Real ID friends. Is there a sure fire way to fix it so the BNet windows won't pop up?
