Healing Range Alpha  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 4.10

HealingRangeAlpha v4.10
Written by Crepusculu of Stormrage

This addon changes friendly unit frame's alpha based on distance

- Support for any unit frame using secure button templates
- Alpha values adjustable per range
- Available ranges depend on what spells you can cast

Operations:

/hra -- access the option menu

Enabled HRA -- Turns on and off HRA updates
(ms) interval updates -- Adjust the frequency of updates. Setting to zero will update whenever possible. Increase this delay to improve performance
colorize depth level -- Adjust the structural depth of textures in the unit frame that get colored. Currently disabled
slider bars -- Alpha value for specified range
color boxes -- Color value to blend with button textures for specified range. Currently disabled

Known Issues:

Coloring is disabled due to change in design (frames can be detected before they have textures).
Possible error with secure templates (index is pointing to a nil value). I'm unsure of the source of this error.

Version History
4.10 -
Removed the CreateFrame hook. The hook was causing the frames to become tainted. Will instead scan all frames periodically after new frames are created.
I haven't been successful in finding an event for unit attribute change, all methods appear to be blocked.

This sounds very interesting. I'm currently using the inRange addon, and love it, but it's buggy, and requires you to make a CODE CHANGE to CT_RA.lua.

So, I have a question.

One of the things I love about inRange, is that it filters out the people that are OOR from the emergency list. Is it possible to filter out OOR people (so they don't appear) from the emergency list?

Thanks for the comments. I've been testing a new release and its gotten to a bug-free status. Shall be posting

@Eronald

I have a "PLAYER_ENTER_COMBAT" checking combat, however it seems to trigger too late and the target changes to a friendly unit, removing autoattack. I inserted a new method to check auto-attack on the hotbar and it appears to work.

I also included a function setting all frames to 100% alpha when disabling the mod.

@Drubiz

It's very likely the players are within the 30 to 40 yard range. I've included a hook onto spell actions which will check range every standard heal, so you should be getting a more accurate reading.

I use this addon for healing for some time now and i must say it does it's job. But i do have a comment on it's updating though: i have allmost allways players in range while your addon alpha's them out of range or los. Tried editing the settings several times, but the results stay the same.

There's a problem with auto-targeting turned on.

I as a paladin sometimes have to be at the front to keep judgements up, but if I have auto-targeting turned on it automatically puts me off combat mode. If I manually enter combat mode again it immediately puts me of it again.

Also if you disable hra while some of the targets are out of range, their units in ctra stay half-invisible. I had to reenable it and set all the alphas to 100%, and disable it, or disable it while all the units are in range.

Hope these can get fixed. It's a great mod
