PerfectRaid  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v90001-1.0
by: Cladhaire [More]

PerfectRaid is a whole new look on raid frames, giving you as much information as possible in an easily recognizable format that's easy to place. Show as much or as little as you're interested in, and completely customize using the each options editor.

Use /praid to open the configuration GUI.

  1. A preliminary frame editor is in game. It can be kind of complex at the moment, but it comes with a nice set of defaults for you to use.
  2. Added a pre-made buff dropdown to the buff editor screen

Yes, I have to have the errors. I tested this mod for the past month in AV and didn't see this issue once, so its DEFINITELY not AV, its interaction with something else.

2. Yes, I'm obsessive about using the latest version of everything If it helps, I don't run Clique on the toon I saw the issue on, however (just PerfectRaid). Also, it seemed to happen right away when I entered AV last night, so you might be able to replicate it just by entering AV. It also seems that both times I noticed the issue (once in AV and once in an AB in which I joined with one friend), it was my group in the BG raid that only showed two players in it even if there were more (sometimes I'm even one of the ones not visible).

Also, I do remember BugSack catching some PerfectRaid errors, but I often get raid frame addons blamed for UI errors in raids so I ignored it. If I get them again I'll paste them here.

3. I'll play around some more and see if I can replicate it.

list of players seemed to get out of sync in battleground pugs (maybe due to people joining/dropping while I was in combat?)

No, I'll try to get a lock frame option added soon, probably as a slash command, and as a GUI option. I just haven't had the chance to put in all the things I want.

If you don't have the default status text at the right of your frames, run /script PerfectRaidDB = {} and reload your UI. It will reset all your options, but load the correct defaults.

Just out of curiousity, is getting Inverse as an available option one of the things you need more templates for, or is it just one of those things that'll happen 'when you get around to it'? More just my curiousity than anything.
The code is actually already there

Code:
	self.headerDefaults = {
		Reverse = false,
		ColorClass = false,
		ColorSeverity = true,
	}
Change that to Reverse = true. Right now it will work on all frames, which is why it hasn't been implemented as an "option" yet.

However what's on my mind right now, far from a complaint, but more a question; Will we always need to update both Clique and Perfect Raid, to get both add-ons 100% working, like we had to do now with the Dongle problems you mentioned? And will this mean you'll have to update both mods when you make some changes to one?
Absolutely not, the goal of Dongle is to have a stable library base for my addons (and others). There were two cases today that happened:

1. Someone was using a VERY outdated version of Clique. In this case, the Dongle API had changed (its in Alpha and we're still maturing the code base), and this API change required an upgrade.

2. There was an extremely critical bug that I fixed with regards to the event registratino system, where some addons could overwrite the event system we had written. It was a matter of a single line missing from Dongle, but it broke everything when combined with some other mods. Since Dongle upgrades itself when it finds a new version, it was upgrading a bad event frame, so it required both addons to be updated. Bear with us, the goal is to AVOID making our users deal with library versioning issues.

Aside my color blindness class color suggestion, I'd have another one If I may add it here. Could we possible link up different buffs/de-buffs to user defined bar highlights. I.E. you add Poison with the text "POSION" in orange, and also the player is outlined with the same orange color you picked up for the text?
Still thinking about how best to handle this.

So I'm back after some nice raiding with Perfect Raid. I added like all possible buffs, just for testing, now I need to remove the non-important ones , which seems hard, when you can see them you think "I will need this and this... oh and I also need this"... basically you made me an addict for buffs Works flawlessly.

However what's on my mind right now, far from a complaint, but more a question; Will we always need to update both Clique and Perfect Raid, to get both add-ons 100% working, like we had to do now with the Dongle problems you mentioned? Oh and I saw on the forums you talked about changing the thickness of the bars, please don't do it, I love them the way they are.

You really made me raid for the whole day, and that says a lot after the recent WOW patch . Thank you very very much.

Very glad to see this one back in action. Been waiting and watching on and off since the patch

Looks like you're still working on a lot of things though so I might have to mess with sRaidFrames or Grid for a while longer.

Some stuff I noticed:
- not much customizable yet except for buffs
- list of players seemed to get out of sync in battleground pugs (maybe due to people joining/dropping while I was in combat?)
- while I was messing around in the options menu, an unrelated option reset the scaling I had previously chosen

Is it possible to lock the frame? I'm well aware that the mod is largely unfinished, but I keep dragging the frame out position by accident mid-fight.

And I'd just like to add my thanks and appreciation. Couple of minor hopes for future stuff (default poison/disease/ect indicator? *beg*) but just in 5 minutes of using this mod the shakes went away.

Thank you oh so much.

Just out of curiousity, is getting Inverse as an available option one of the things you need more templates for, or is it just one of those things that'll happen 'when you get around to it'? More just my curiousity than anything.

Thanks again- using clique and the new macro system life just became so much easier as a raiding healer.

Edit:
Okay, everyone else's is showing the defaults just fine, I must've messed something up, ignore me.
