Quick question,

I play on a 20" widescreen monitor and my bar at the top of the screen only goes a certain distance across the screen, maybe 3/4's.
It is right justified.

I cant seem to figure out how to get the bar to extend across the entire screen, suggestions ?

FUbar Help

I'm having loads of problems getting the latest version of Fubar to work. I'm getting an ingame message to use the latest version of ACE2. However, when I use the standalone ACE2 client i'm told it's incompatible in the WOW addons tool. Any thoughts?

for me rock is 100% user friendly and usesfull

Re: jumping up and down

I can supply a list of my current addons and i havent added anything new recently, only updated existing ones, and it was all working perfectly before.
Same here. It seems to be Fubar, but I haven't been able to confirm that yet.

rock - no so good

Sorry to be so rude, but rock sucks compared to the old menu system.
Its just no very user friendly.
The + expanders are very unnatural
The addon's Icon being displayed is inconsistent, which makes the app lock like something cobbled together
Navigating rock is much much slower and takes repeated clicks especially if you aren't sure which section the addon author decided to place the option or you just don't know where the option is
The system now to list enabled/available plugins is unworkable and tedious now
I'd try to give more details but I just got too frustrated with rock to keep trying to do things in it

I have niagra installed and its gone a bit down hill as well

So I think part of the issue is some "features" have been added to some ace libraries.

Please put the old menus back, or at least leave them as an option to use instead of rock

Oh, reading Curney's post I see there might be hope, but also I think Curney needs to back away from the keyboard and stop being so easily offended because someone doesn't agree with him/her. As for beta testing, I had no idea the wow updater was dl'ing beta code

And if what I'm seeing is where ace is going, it may be time to dump ace. Someone needs to learn that just because they can write code doesn't mean what they make is usable by anyone else. Its one of the most common failings amongst coders writing things that people other than just themselves might be using.
put more simply - just because someone can write some code doesn't mean they can make a good or even adequate UI. UI dev is a totally different skill and most coders just can't do it, but they're convinced that they can

The latest version of Rock (49537) seems stable enough now. The unsaved positions on the FuBar bar(s) are no longer a problem and the issue I noted about the drop-down menus is only occasional instead of always. (Proof that they are working on it!)

It has a lot of potential. Ace never had a centralized GUI for configuring its addons. I'm sure people will grow to like it when it's officially released.

Help please!

Totally off topic, but I need help using this mod. I want to make my other mods appear over the top of this one, so I can have several bars stacked up and then have my map down there with the chat, and action bars etc. I am using this in conjunction with x-perl if that helps.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Rock

While I don't agree with the way Anitora pointed out a faulty addon, I do agree that Rock is not very good. The interface is awful. Choosing items from the drop-down menus doesn't close them as one would expect and require (it blocks whatever is behind it) and there's no notification that anything happened (output to chat). These are just two examples of issues that I have with it. Drop-down menu problem seems to have been resolved.

New minor issue: Mousing over (OnEnter) automatically moves it to the top (even if you mouse over something that is in front of it making said something unclickable) and mousing out (OnLeave) moves it to the back. An option to change this behavior would be nice.

By the way, it *is* a stand-alone (ok, not really), it's called LibRockConfig; however, it gets automatically enabled even if you manually disable it.

Edit

Oh Im sorry, I'll try and be more constructive. Rock sucks, please don't bundle it with a great mod, but instead make it a stand alone project and dont force crap onto people using the popularity of another mod.

And if this mod is no longer ace2 please remove it from the Ace Updater Program list.
