    Mendeleev is best known for his work on the periodic table; arranging the 63 known elements into a Periodic Table based on atomic mass, which he published in Principles of Chemistry in 1869. Dmitri Mendeleev was born at Tobolsk, Siberia in 1834 and died in 1907.

    Mendeleev adds all kinds of information on top of the information provided by Blizzard to almost all item tooltips.

    those addons most likely still need pt in its seperate state
    if pt is updated there will be a version you can put into your addon dir like a regular addon, the system is designed that it will overwrite the information in my version by default if that happens.

    hmmm, looks like some bug slipped into this version
    will look into it.

    Two questions:

    1) ItemID doesn't seem to be working for me when I turn it on and off?

    2) I noticed that in removing the dependency upon PeriodicTable that it was just added to the Mendeleev folder. Which does it default to? I have other addons using PT, If PT is installed already, will it use those values instead or those included in the folder?

    I only ask for the reason that should a newer update of PT become available, what do I do?

    I've been getting a ton of these lately when mousing over buttons of various types (inventory, spells, etc.):

    "Error: Interface\AddOns\Mendeleev\Mendeleev.lua:198: attempt to compare string with number"

    I'm guessing another add-on isn't playing well. Any ideas?

    Sigh..... obviously some of us want to have all the info we can in one add on. But one of my concern is screen space. With the new Mendeleev , Adspace ( i would still need it for Vendor Location which i notice is not included in your screenshot ), and BookEnchant.

    Now add all this with Auctioneer Tooltips you can see how the whole things become extremely large.

    I only wish you can have tabs in tooltips like you do in ChatBox. At least i can switch to that tab when i need the specfic information.

    Sigh.

    I have thought on this a bit, that is the reason I took some time to respond to this.

    (tiny correction on your part, adspace is actually older then mendeleev)

    I will not do anything with supresing mendeleev when other addons in general or other addons in specific are showing information. The best I can offer you is to turn off categories in mendeleev that provide double information, I am ofcourse where possible and within reason willing to split certain categories up if that will help.

    On the point of adding the information to mendeleev,I will look into that a bit further, but there is a certain scope in my head about what information mendeleev should show. We will see what will happen on that part.

    Also a lot of changes are happening to mendeleev at the moment, a lot of it good stuff. (or so i like to think)

    Why not just include those two addon's functions inside Mendeleev as well ?

    Huh. I have GFW_FeedOMatic and Mendeleev both as well - and I just checked - both tooltips show fine on food, the food type, stacksize etc. from Mendeleev and the "Your pet loves this food!" type tooltip from FeedOMatic.

    @SkunkWerks: ctrl-click works fine for me with Mendeleev installed (not to mention a variety of other mods who mess with keybindings)...

    hmm this is awesome, however...
    this doesnt play nice with GFW FeedOMatic...that addon allows on my tooltip, to say what foods my pets like...with this addon, it removes that ability

    Many thanks. The description is much clearer now.

    I DLed Mendeleev and tried it last night. It is a very clear improvement over RD and RI. Thanks for a great addon.

    You are completly correct. Although the information added by mendeleev is much more extensive then RD/RI
