Mailbox tracking and possible search results frame

I've been looking for an alternative for Possessions for a long time now and have not been successful. The addon is very old and barely surviving with fan patches. I use it to find the character and location of an item and the quantity of the item across characters. One thing that makes Possessions unique is the ability to track what was stored in the mailbox. This feature is very useful for tracking mats between chars (like when you need to get mats together for crafting large quantities) and storage (my bank alt never seems to have an empty mailbox).

Bagnon already records inventory in bags and bank, and can report location and quantity in tooltips, so the functionality is already in place. The mailbox would just need to be added as a location the addon can search and record items. Also, Search could be expanded outside of the current bag with a way to search an item name and report which char has it and how many.

Do you think adding mailbox recording and expanded searching is feasible? It would allow me to drop deprecated Possessions which seems to be overlapping Bagnon functionality anyway.

Feature Request?

I don't think this is included, if it is.. please let me know.

I would really like to be able to use the search to be able to find all items of a specific item set (Using Blizzards Equipment Manager).

EX: I have a set named Bear, that has all my Druid tanking gear. I'd like to use the search box and type set:Bear (or something), and have it filter out the rest.

I would really appreciate this feature, being a druid and having 3 sets I keep in my bags at all times.. and then the equipment manager constantly shuffles the gear makes it really hard to keep sets organized.

If it's helpful, there is a add on named lib-filter that does a lot of this (for most of the Equipment Mangers). I just don't like the other bag add ons it supports.

Also, hearing that you want to add a bookmark bar for saved searches would be excellent to go along with this addition.

Thanks for all of your hard work on this add on, it's really great.

Well I can say it has nothing to do with being grouped, as it was happening last night to me while leveling solo. My money says this bug is some conflict with Bagnon and QuestHelper, but it is fairly hard to reproduce.

I think it has something to do with QuestHelper, as I don't remember seeing this problem until I recently started leveling an alt.

It could also have something to do with being grouped, as tonight it was happening a lot to me when I was grouped doing some elite quests.

So basically it has to be something to do with QuestHelper or being grouped, or perhaps a combination of the two, that's just my best guess at the time, but this bug really needs fixed whatever is causing it.

There's no option at the moment. However, if you feel like editing lua files, find this chunk of code in item.lua:
Code:
function ItemSlot:UpdateSlotColor()
	if (not self:GetItem()) and self:ColoringBagSlots() then
		if self:IsKeyRingSlot() then
			SetItemButtonTextureVertexColor(self, 1, 0.8, 0)
			self:GetNormalTexture():SetVertexColor(1, 0.8, 0)
			return
		end

		if self:IsAmmoBagSlot() then
			SetItemButtonTextureVertexColor(self, 0.7, 0.7, 1)
			self:GetNormalTexture():SetVertexColor(0.7, 0.7, 1)
			return
		end

		if self:IsTradeBagSlot() then
			SetItemButtonTextureVertexColor(self, 0.5, 1, 0.5)
			self:GetNormalTexture():SetVertexColor(0.5, 1, 0.5)
			return
		end

		if self:IsShardBagSlot() then
			SetItemButtonTextureVertexColor(self, 0.9, 0.7, 1)
			self:GetNormalTexture():SetVertexColor(0.9, 0.7, 1)
			return
		end
	end

	SetItemButtonTextureVertexColor(self, 1, 1, 1)
	self:GetNormalTexture():SetVertexColor(1, 1, 1)
end

Will double check and see if I'm getting some kind of taint.

Great addon

I recommend bagnon to every one I play with. One of my buddies made me aware that other bag addons also include sorting. Sorting would be a nice feature in the future. I won't be switching for.

Code:

Then the problem should hopefully go away.
Took me a few minutes to figure out where to do that, but I did it. First time evening opening up a lua file... lol. It worked! Thanks for your timely response!
