I have managed to sort of disable Banknon. However, now when I leave the bank, it keeps my bank bags open on my screen.

Custom sets are a planned feature.

I really like vBagnon. The only thing I really miss is the search functionality.
Spot isn't in yet, but try out /find <name> and /findr <rule>

Probably one of my top three favorite addons. I haven't figured out how to get a bag that looks like your SS below, how do you make separate sets in one window? Is it possible without custom-tagging each piece of gear? I'd like to be able to set up a number of discrete sections to which I can add and subtract gear by dragging it into and out of that set.

Just long-term thoughts, thanks for a great addon.

Is there a way to add or remove items from a catagory? I used to have engBags and you could custom sort items and move them from one catagory to another. If this would be possible with this mod that would be aewsome.

Also have as of yet found a way to view my keyring. Any Ideas?

Great mod, though. I'm really liking it so far. Thanks, Tuller.

Otherwise I have to agree with others. I considered uninstalling vBagnon because I thought it didn't offer the old functionality. I think the new system is very nice and has great advantages because it can help you find certain items quicker. However, I think if you added and used the "All" category by default, and just let the user figure out on his own how to use the new system, it makes for a smoother transition.

At any rate, thanks for the new version! I wouldn't use any other bag addon.
The purchase slot thing is fixed in mine, and the defaults are altered too

QFT

Please can this option be included in the default set-up? Until I found this option, I was seriously considering trashing Bagnon for good... I hate the new auto-sorting, it was the LACK of this feature that made the old Bagnon so attractive to me.

Also, it might be helpful if you could specify a group for weapons/armour/etc. that's NOT soulbound, so you know which items are for dissing/vendoring/AHing without having to mouse over your entire collection of gear - my main is a druid with 30 items of gear in his bags for different situations, and finding those new items I just farmed up has gone from being simplicity to stupidity.

Also, with the bank its doing the same thing and its rather hard to get things organized by 1 person's liking instead of by categories.

Let me know if theres an option or if theres a possibility of adding that option to return it to its old specifications on bag slots!

Thanks.

Re: Problems using Bagnon

Tomorrow (today now), I'll be updating Bagnon for WoW 2.0. It'll be a vBagnon beta release.

vBagnon currently lacks the following features compared to Bagnon:
  • Viewing the data of your other characters (though you can view your bank from anywhere)
  • Reverse ordering of bags
  • BagnonSpot (techically, searching is much improved in vBagnon, but the spot window isn't currently in)

Those features will be added eventually, along with more tweaks to vBagnon's UI and localization.

- when at mailbox/vendor only my mainbag opens automaticly
- when opening a loot that can be opend (slimy bags, locked chests, etc.) the content ist opend behind the bagnon frame
First one: make sure you do not have the main bag hidden from Bagnon. Its what I use to check to open the inventory window

Second one: Lower the layer setting for the main window. You can do that via right clicking the frame.

Problems using Bagnon

I currently have the following problems using bagnon:

- when at mailbox/vendor only my mainbag opens automaticly
- when opening a loot that can be opend (slimy bags, locked chests, etc.) the content ist opend behind the bagnon frame

What I did:

1. cleared my complete Addonfolder
2. deleted all saved variables
3. set up bagnon to open in all cases in menu

I'm currently using the following addons in most actual versions:

- Ace
- Ace2
- AdvancedTradeSkill
- Atlas
- Auctioneer
- Autorepair
- Bagnon
- BiBmod
- Characters Viewer
- Cooldowncount
- CT Buff Mod
- CT Mail Mod
- CT Master Mod
- CT Party Buffs
- CT RA Boss Mod
- CT Raid Assist
- CT Raid Tracker
- Decursive
- Equip Compare
- Fishing Buddy
- Gatherer
- Monkey Buddy
- Monkey Quest
- MoveAnything
- Necrosis
- Perl Unit Frames
- Quickloot
- Scrolling Combat
- Selfcast
- SW Stats
- Titanbar
- Titan Aggro
- Titan Factions
- Titan Roll
- Trinket Menu
- Wardrobe

I first tried Bagnon in BC beta and liked it, so I dropped off MyInventory and Bankitems for my WoW game.

I'm working on the next generation of Bagnon, tentatively called vBagnon. Its essentially the only thing I'm focused on coding right now, but it still far from completion. Nothing is set in stone as far as how the final UI will look.

Display:

As the screen shot shows, I currently allow multiple inventory windows, with multiple categories for each window. Items are duplicated in the event they match more than one category.

I've still not implemented how I'm going to display bags. Currently, its possible for a frame to have a customizable set of bags, but I'll probably limit that.

Categories:
Categories are defined by a single filter function, which currently takes an item's hyperlink (the return from GetContainerItemInfo). Its possible to combine filter functions using some special methods I've made, Bagnon_And(...), Bagnon_Or(...), and Bagnon_Not. I plan on adding the ability to filter by bag.

Tagging:
Its currently possible to tag an item by shift + right clicking it. With tagging, its possible to create your own custom sets of items, say 'fire resist gear', and then add a category for them. You can then filter items matching a specific tag, the set of all items having a group of tags (all items tagged both fire resist gear and armor, for example), or all items matching one tag or another (all items tagged either fire resist gear, or frost resist gear).

Speed:
I've tested bag update events with around 100 full bag frames (frames showing all items), and will do it again, but there absolutely no delay from moving items between slots.

Opening bags:
I've noticed a slight delay when rapidly opening and closing say...6 full bag frames at once. Its no greater than that of the current load time of opening Bagnon for the first time, and I expect that I can remove a good bit of the delay.

Memory usage:
Moving an item between slots takes zero memory. Total memory usage is dependent on how many frames are created, but so far there seems to be no real change compared to Bagnon. I think I hit around 30 or 40 something MB with 100 full frames opened.

Tabs:
I've implemented tabs on the side of the window for displaying categories. Like chat tabs, you can tear categories out of their parent window to display in a second window. You can also reorganize layout of categories by moving them around within a frame. Clicking on a tab will toggle the visibility of its category.

Searching:
Currently, typing /script Bagnon_Search(name) will display a temporary window displaying all items that contain <name>. Search results are displayed in a window that's 'destroyed' when closed.

Layout:
My algorithm for laying out item slots is now much more robust. Its still not a high priority, but its now much easier to modify Bagnon to look more like the default frames.

Thoughts on how the UI will look:
I'm now thinking there will be at most two perma windows: Your bag and your bank. Searching will display in a temporary window (it'll be destroyed when closed), and so will viewing the contents of your other characters.

The other possibility is for me to create a secondary bag frame containing all Bagnon windows, which will be individually hot keyed, and have their own settings for automatically showing.
