Someone else had already posted an error report AND a fix for the error. Your entire message after "Thank you very much" had no purpose beyond insulting the author. A numbered line-item response to my message calling out your bad behavior doesn't excuse it.

Go away, little troll - the rest of us appreciate the time and effort the authors invest in these addons, even when they aren't perfect or contain demonstrable errors. Your post was neither constructive nor encouraging.

1) I don't write addons, but I do write programs, and I do test them before publishing.

2) It's not important what I do, because we are not speaking about it. We are speaking about publishing not tested product. And your comment proves that you totally miss the point that any product (including addon) should be tested at least once. I guess that you probably disagree, and that's why we have so many products that make our computers hang up.

3) Calling any critics as "crap" and "insulting" is really not productive tactics. Critics (in our case - it is a constructive critics about lack of testing) will bring results only if you don't shut it down.

And BTW, there was nothing "crap" or "insulting" in my post - simply because I told truth.

Thank you very much.

just updated to latest available and got tons of errors in bugsack on login. Using questhelper, alphamap_cities, latest gatherer. minimap icon doesn't show. All of the above listed worked previous to latest update including gatherer. The version i've updated to is the most current available on wowmatrix.

Also thanks for all your hard work keeping alphamap up to date. It's been top of the must have list for my addon folder for many years. Maybe someday blizzard will take a hint from alphamap that the default game map that blocks the entire user interface is not very practical

just a note to close. rolling back to v3.50.30000 fixed my immediate issues

AlphaMap has worked with Gatherer for years now, HOWEVER :
Based on user reports, there does seem to be a compatibility problem with the latest version of AlphaMap (or possibly with the latest version of Gatherer, I can't be certain atm)

AlphaMap_Cities should work fine under WotLK with the current version of AlphaMap.

However, it has not been updated to include Dalaran - and might not be updated for a while yet.


You don't have to have MobMap - AlphaMobMap is just for people who do use that AddOn; You can feel free to disable AlphaMobMap if you like.

If you do want to try MobMap, then you can get it and its database from :
