Birg UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.12
by: Birg [More]

You can find help, updated WeakAuras, and more on the Discord server

Notes:
  • Do not download this if you expect easy configuration or maintenance. Shared for inspiration. Always have a backup of your current WTF and Interface folders.
  • Created on level 90-110 characters - animations are mostly for baseline abilities.
  • If you only want to include/exclude the settings of a specific addon you can extract/import the SavedVariables for that addon.
  • Actionbars are hidden with Dominos. They can be shown by mouseover at the bottom right of the screen, or type /dominos to configure.
  • To add buffs/debuffs and cooldowns, use /raven. I haven't included all class spells and cooldowns, you will have to add some yourself. I have also blacklisted some cooldowns. More info in the customization guide.
  • Use this macro when you first enter the game. You can also find it in /macro
    /run SetCVar ("nameplateSelfAlpha", 0)
    /run SetCVar ("nameplateOtherTopInset", 0.08)
    /run SetCVar ("nameplateSelfTopInset", 0.5)
    /run SetCVar ("nameplateSelectedScale", 1)
    /run SetCVar ("nameplatePersonalShowAlways", 1)

Important:
  • I play on a 2560x1440 resolution, if you use another resolution the UI could be slightly off.
  • I recommend you update the addons yourself, so you don't have to remake your keybinds or other configurations each time you update this UI.
  • BasicMinimap's circle.tga file is actually a rectangle and responsible for the rectangle shape. Do not replace it when you update the minimap.
  • BigWigs is edited through "Plugins>Bars". Try not to update that file unless necessary.

Open up Weakauras with /WA. Expand Global and go to minimapbg. You can drag it around with the mouse, move it slowly with the <>, or you can adjust the X offset/y offset as well.

Everything looks like it's loaded correctly. Move the white square behind your minimap, where it's supposed to be. You have a wide screen so it didn't end up where it should've.

As for the demon hunter I don't know what that error means. Did you copy the character folder in the WTF folder and named it to your demon hunter's name? If not, go into the character you named in that folder, then type /stuf, scroll to the bottom, and uncheck the "Save per character" button.
I was able to work through it. What I see happening is stuf is not hiding the frames. For example, on my demon hunter I had part of the unit frame showing in the upper left hand corner. I went into stuf and chose player and then hide. I did this for target as well. Not sure why it's doing that.

I did not copy the character folder, and rename it to my next character. I just renamed your initial folder to the first character I was logging in with. However, I noticed that the Save per character button was not checked in Stuf.

I went through ESC > Interface > Addons, and selected the profiles I thought made sense for each addon. I tried looking over your installation video, but that seems outdated. For example it has some instructions for kuinameplates, which you don't seem to be using.

I'm not positive about some of the profiles I should be choosing. For example on the platter profile page you have USETHISONE, so that is the one I used. On things like Dominoes, you have for profiles Birg UI - w/o Pet, Birg UI - w/Pet, and then class specific ones. The class specific ones do not have seem right, so I chose Birg UI - w/o Pet (for my paladin) and it looks right. The paladin resource bar however, is not hidden.

Here is what the UI looks like now. My resolution is at 3440 x 1440 widescreen. Notice the big white box next to the minimap? From what I can figure out that is a WeakAura in the Global group, called minimapbg. What is the supposed to be and what should I do about it?

Any recommendations for other addons I should be checking and setting profiles to?

I switched over to my Demon Hunter to see what things looked like there. Upon logging in, I get the following:

Thanks, I noticed that too. Go into /details config -> Window: General -> select Layer Strata and make it "Medium"

The numbers from the nameplate are just Blizzard's default damage text I use MSBT but I've disabled the outgoing damage because I think it's more satisfying to see the damage as it is by default. Should be very easy to enable it in MSBT and disable the default text!

And thank you for the kind words!

I don't understand coding so no unfortunately I don't know what causes it. Try going into /chatter -> Player Names and disable the options there. I have an addon called ErrorFilter that removes error messages as well. Worst case scenario, try asking the creators of the Chatter addon
Thank you! it worked
