Clean Icons - Mechagnome Edition

This set of icons is the spiritual successor to Clean Icons - Thin by suicidalkatt

Due to size package is now hosted here: HERE

All icons were additionally upscaled using deep convolutional neural network magic. As a result, they are way bigger than original ones and provide better image quality when the higher display resolution is used or bigger icons are displayed.

This package is intended mainly for Retail version but both Classic and WotLK is supported.

Comparison vs default Blizzard icons

Installation:
Contents of the archive should be placed directly in World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface.
A full restart of the game is required.

Compatibility:
This type of texture replacement is simple and effective, but other addons are unable to recognize that they are using unofficial icons. They might need fine-tuning to get everything to look correct.

Default Blizzard Bars - They add their own border to every icon. So using this pack only increase icon resolution. Currently, they do not provide the option to hide that border.

ElvUI - By default ElvUI trims the border from the icon texture. This process is controlled by tristate option: General -> Cosmetic -> Crop Icons.

WeakAuras - By default WA will display a border that is part of the icon texture. It can be hidden by increasing aura Zoom: Display -> Extra Options -> Zoom. Recommended value: 10-20%.

Other Bar Addons - In general, these types of addons should have options to disable their own extra borders and control how much border should be removed from the icon texture.

Known issues:

There are currently less than a hundred encrypted icons for event and store items. Due to technical reasons, they cannot be replaced.

When I updated the icons (removed the old ones first) with the update posted on 18/11-2020 lots of warlock icons is not loading anymore (they are the blizzard original icons) Is this a bug or is the files not working as intended?? Found the problem: for example the Healthstone icon was called "Warlock_Healthstone.blp" in the new pack. and in the version before it was called "Warlock_ Healthstone.blp" it has a space after the _ and when i changed that manually it works ingame again. Some of them don't even support bigger textures. I tried to upscale older zone maps. Personally I don't use microbar and default window textures so my eyes are not bleeding :-)

Only issue I experienced was that the micro bar button textures, while improved, are still poor quality, (except for the character icon which I guess is dynamically created). Its a shame we have to rely on authors like yourself to provide images for modern resolutions and expectations. In any case thank you, I actually keep my action bars visible and scaled larger because of these icons. Anyone know of work being done to update the other textures in the game, such as borders and backgrounds? I like the RPG look the game provides, but the textures need to be updated for higher resolutions. (Not asking about TC UI's, I have tried and enjoyed many.)

CurseForge don't support packages that need to be installed outside Interface directory.
