LynUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2016.39
by: eiszeit [More]

LynUI

Actually currently in development. So... just wait.

This is my personal UI, you can, however, suggest or report bugs on Github.
But beware, it is not guaranteed I will implement new features I personally not use or need.

Also, the config of this UI is Lua based, so you need some small basic knowledge if you want to change things.

Important Information
  • I will try to help with errors and simple modifications.
  • I will not help with greater modifications or custom edits.
  • It's not allowed to upload and/or distribute modified versions of my UI without my permission. Doesn't matter if it's an old layout or the current.

Additional links

My thanks especially go to Obble, for his help and everything.
Credits go to p3lim and all the authors which Addons I'm using in this UI and u/sammojo for the icons used in the menu. Thanks!

Hi Lyn.

I really love your design. It shows just enough information without being overwhelming.

I have a few questions.

1) Any way of making debuffs show up on focus target? I'm a tank and focus my co-tank but since I can't see his debuffs it makes tanking Ursoc really hard.

2) Any plans on adding additional info on bottom left bar? It's empty for now, but would be nice to have FPS/Latency/other informative stuff.

Which one? You can set the normal one in LynChat/modules/window.lua "chatFont" variable.
Well I'm replacing the fonts in the Fonts folder with Roboto Bold, but it doesn't seem to change, I COULD set that font to the exact font I want, but I figured just changing that main 1 would be easier. I'll how it goes.

Sure. Just remove the units from the oUF_Lyn.toc

Because there is none.

For using my chat settings like in the screenshot, type /lynchat
Everything else is there.

Font Sizes are all adjustable. Rest is not scalable and not planned.

1) Do you use a damage meter, if so where do you position it? I think I want mine on the right but the tooltip looks ugly popping up over it and the quest frame won't stay closed for me for some reason.

2) The CompactRaidFrameManager. I love how this looks visually compared to stuff like Grid, and I really don't need the advanced utility. I just need to move it and see if the target needs healed,or dispelled. Can either of these be done?

Finally, do you have any layouts for your DBM bars or SCT profiles

Thanks in advance for any help.

1) Skada, I used the chat frame integrator but not anymore. I have it hidden normally and open it only to look at it. Low right corner.

2) What Manager? If you mean the raid frames, sure, it could be done. But that's currently not planned, since I don't play a healer and don't need that info. I put that on the todo, but dunno when I get around coding it.

3) Only for BigWigs, scroll through the comments, I already posted them. I don't use DBM or SCT.

This is a subjective. I, personally, can raid with it. The second screenshot also has BigWigs in it. I raided a lot in the past, even on mythic and never had problems with my UIs. It depends on your needs for a "raid friendly interface".
Just the basics. the interface right now is having the NPC from the whither army training freezing my game, not sure why but its something. do you know if thats problem with yours or do you run the whither army yourself ? and thanks for the quick reply.
I am doing the Withered Training on three characters everytime without problems. Do you have any other addons running?
this is not with your ui but another. and i have all the addon's it came with and added a few myself. but the only thing is that NPC freezes my game lol. everything else runs great.

My guess is that you don't run proving grounds (and heck... who does?) and therefore that part of LynQuest isn't updated or something.
Just thought I'd report the error since a lot of dks will be enrering the proving grounds these days to farm for the Hidden Skin faster
You can farm a hidden skin in proving grounds?
I'll look into it, thanks
You enter PG to reset the CD on Apocalypse, the skill has a chance to spawna a special ghoul so you want to use it as often as possible
