WoW G910  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: Version 7 for Windows
by: Waldokind [More]

Windows version 7.0 for Shadowlands. To download the the Mac version, please visit www.jdsoftcode.net

WoW G910 animates the lights on your Logitech RGB LED keyboard in response to in-game WoW events such as combat, earning an achievement, gaining Anima, and looting gold. Your key lights can also change color in sync with spells and ability cooldowns.

New since version 5

  • Fixes for WoW Classic
  • Menu interface for all options
  • Import and export color profiles
  • New light animations for Shadowlands
  • More interesting default set of light colors for keys
  • Less lag and more reliable light fixes when first logging in
  • Automatically launch Battle.net or the WoW app when you start WoW G910

Blizzard doesn't allow AddOns to directly control computer hardware. This download includes an AddOn plus an executable application (.exe) to control the keyboard LEDs.

Full instructions are included in the application. In summary:
1) Download and extract the zip file
2) Move the G910xmit folder into your Warcraft AddOns folder (Shadowlands and/or Classic)
3) Start the WoW G910 application and calibrate it to your screen
4) Play WoW in a new colorful dimension!

WoW G910 requires Windows 10.

Hi trebleta. It was good to exchange emails with you on this issue. As we figured out together, the keyboard "mode" lights are not under control of my program; this is an LGS thing.

Legal? Illegal?

Hey

It looks very awesome and I would definitely like to use it. My concern is if you can actually get banned for this?

The only thing I could find was this:

The only thing you're likely to get from an official source is that as long as the addon is running on LUA and only on LUA it's allowed, because addons that run within the game can only do what the WoW developers allow them to. Anything external (anything that requires an executable to run alongside WoW) they can't really say "legal" to, since they have no control whatsoever over those programs.

As far as I can see the things you mentioned are purely addons, if that's the case then they're fine for the reason I said above. They run on code allowed by Blizzard.

Hi Smadret, thanks for your interest in my program. The real source to look at this the official Terms of Use, http://eu.blizzard.com/en-gb/company/legal/wow_tou.html (I see you linked the EU forums in your post).

From section III:
2. You agree that you will not:
(1) modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of a World of Warcraft installation WoW G910 does not;
(2) create or use cheats, "mods", and/or hacks, or any other third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience Wowg910xmit is an AddOn written in Blizzard-provided standard Lua. It uses the same tools as the thousands of other available WoW AddOns;
(3) use any third-party software that intercepts, "mines", or otherwise collects information from or through World of Warcraft The AddOn does not. The PC/Mac app reads the screen same as the Twitch client; you will not be banned for streaming on Twitch or using this program;
...
Notwithstanding the foregoing, you may update World of Warcraft with authorized patches and updates distributed by Blizzard, and use authorized Third Party User Interfaces as set forth in Section XVI 7 below Wowg910xmit is a "Third Party User Interface" created in the Blizzard-provided Lua AddOn environment used by thousands of other AddOns on WoW Interface and Curse
...
Section XVI:
7. The use of any "user interface" other than the user interface that is included in the World of Warcraft Software ("Third Party User Interface") is not recommended by Blizzard Entertainment, and you hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blizzard Entertainment from all claims, damages, and other losses which may arise from your use of a Third Party User Interface. Right, you cannot sue Blizzard if my AddOn misbehaves. At such time that Blizzard elects to post a list of approved Third-Party User Interfaces on its website, you agree that you will use only those Third-Party User Interfaces approved by Blizzard, and that you will use no other Third-Party User Interfaces in connection with World of Warcraft. Blizzard has never posted a list of "approved Third-Party User Interfaces."

The PC/Mac app only looks at the screen. It does not read any of the game data in RAM. If you want to argue the video frame buffer is "RAM," then Twitch is in big trouble!

Download and enjoy with confidence!

Supposedly this wont "talk" to the keyboard properly, atleast hitting test does absolutely nothing - Going into WoW activates the RGB layout from LGS even though I've ticked the boxes in "WoW 910" to override that :/

Don't got any effects playing ingame either :/

EDIT: WoW 910 does say that it has initialized the LED drivers successfully though, so not sure whats going on at all >_<

Zoin86, thanks for trying my program. Can you confirm game control of lighting is enabled? To do that, open LGS, open the settings window (click the big gear in the lower-left), and on the General tab, ensure "Allow games to control illumination" is checked.
