To install: Open the downloaded zip file and drop all
containing folders into your addons directory
(ie.. "C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns").
Be sure that at least the addons "SVUI_!Core" and "SVUI_!Options" are enabled from your character select screen.

You can access quick config options by clicking the "Henchman" dock button.

IMPORTANT
If you are having issues or if you have an older copy of SVUI installed
then you MUST delete any previous versions from the ~\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns
directory BEFORE installing a new one.

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING FREQUENT CRASHES
Delete your ~\World of Warcraft\Cache folder
Inside the folder ~\World of Warcraft\WTF\[SERVER NAME]\SavedVariables: Delete any files that begin with "SVUI"
Inside each of your characters folders (~\World of Warcraft\WTF\[SERVER NAME]\[CHARACTER NAME]\SavedVariables): Delete any files that begin with "SVUI"

im pretty hesitant to switch myself. too used to it. too comprehensive. limited time nowadays with children, setting up a new ui sounds likea nightmare. add the ap grind to that and /wrists. im petitioning ppl in discord hopefully someone like joev mosies along since mung apparently abandoned it and didnt post or say anything to anyone or even try to find a replacment

I have grudgingly moved over to ELVUI. Nowhere near as awesome. One thing I noticed last night is that SVUI shares an awful lot of similarities to ELVUI. Still not happy about having to switch. Such is life.

If it is also very trusting that this interface is not well maintained. I have some errors and these are not small. Have even 2 errors which are very annoying. Meanwhile, I went to another interface. Sorry sadly. |

I wonder if there is a way to petition another dev to take over? I'd certainly donate. Whatever it takes. This would/could be potentially the first time in the better part of a decade ive stopped using svui >.< Ugh. Badjuju. Anyone know where one would post/look for developers willing to take over? I guess here would be it eh? lol. what would be the worst is if we were to go through all the trouble of changing, setting up, and getting acclimated to a new UI - only to have mung resume support in the near future. Wish he would at least touch base with his fans/patrons/etc. /sigh

I had a feeling this was going to go this route. So this weekend I played around with other UI's. I just sat there and stared blankly at the screen. Nothing even close in my eyes. I tried Elvui and variants, Kkthnx, Mayron Gen 5, Decui, Wullies UI, Spartan UI, FauxMuzzle, etc. Once 7.1.5 breaks SVUI for good; I don't even know if I'm going to be able to continue playing the game(how sad is that?). What are y'all using now? |

Thanks for the information. I will however first change the interface. Have so many annoying bugs in it. Will not be ungrateful, but more care with such a terrific interface would already be nice .... Donations were for free ... |

Just thought that I would post this response from Joe that I received today. Sad news for us SVUI users, but at least we know Joe's future with SVUI.
Hi Lisa, Apologies, my day-job took me completely away from everything. Haven’t even opened the WoW client in 2 months I don’t know what happened with Steve but he disappeared without communicating with me either so can’t enligthen about his situation. For my part I’m not likely to be back to SVUI any time soon. Just too hectic life. I’ll post something to that effect on WoWI and Curse so people know to move on to a supported UI (Shame really, SVUI is a great UI) Many thanks Joe -- Joe Vaughan Sent with Airmail
