Vacant UI - Become a Better Player  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 4.2
by: V4cant [More]

Vacant UI 4.0
Sleek, clean & functional.

Version 4.2 The War Within

Most of the functionality is there and greatly improved upon since prior iterations. Bagnon is still not functioning, for now have Baganator on board. Settings are there for Details damage meter, DBM and various other addons. If you like using them download separately as they were too large to include in this UI package.

Version 4.0: Dragonflight Release

Most of the functionality is there and greatly improved upon since prior iterations. Thanks for the continued support. I return at the beginning of each expansion to make sure this UI is optimal and in working order. Appreciate all the kinds words, and as always let me know if anything is out of sorts (or what functonality you'd like me to add) and I will fix it ASAP.

Hey. I'm Vacant! I've played a Rogue on Tichondrius since vanilla. My goal with this project is to provide a visually appealing UI that clearly and cleanly presents pertinent information to immensely improve awareness in PVP and PVE situations.

v3.0 Notes:

-Shadowlands: Most of the functionality has been restored. Will continue to update. Let me know what is broken. Thanks

v2.94 Notes:

-BfA prelaunch event updates. Everything should be working smooth. Post comments if any issues.

v2.7 Notes:

- Overall improvements made.
- Many WeakAuras added for Legion
- Added many legion cooldowns/abilties for each class
- Added/pruned PVP target alerts
- Polished many UI elements

Installation:

Enter your World of Warcraft folder. The default location is: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft

1. Make a backup of your WTF and Interface folders.

2. Download and extract my UI to your desktop.

3. Go into my WTF folder, enter the Account folder, and rename the folder called
(YOURACCOUNTNAMEINCAPS) to your own account name, ALL IN CAPS.

4. Enter the (YOURACCOUNTNAMEINCAPS) folder and change the folder called (YourServerName) into your server name.

5. Enter the (YourServerName) folder and change the folder (YourCharacterName) into your character's name. (Also do this for any alts you have.)

6. Put my(the ones you've been editing) WTF and Interface folders in the place where your own folders used to be. The default location is: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft

7. When installing for the first time, make sure you select "Load out of date Addons".

8. Once installed and in the game for the first time, type the following:

/gladius and select the profile: Default
/sexymap and select: "Use Global Profile".
/bt and select the profile: Default
/raven and select the profile: Default
/tmw lock
Interface > Addons > SCT > Profile Vacant-Tichondrius

You may have to manually adjust TidyPlates. You can turn nameplates on within Blizzard's interface options. To display enemy castbars under nameplates, you must go into the combat section of Blizzard's interface options and tick the "display castbar under enemy nameplate" option.

Also, you will have to adjust the Last Second (diminishing returns icons) positioning and visibility options to your liking. For some reason there is no built-in profile system for this addon. I use this to see my target and focus target's diminishing returns status. I place the icons under each respective frame, lined up with the bottom right edge with growth moving towards the left. I'd like to have these Icons grow downwards in the future.

AddOns:
Aurora - UI Skin
Aurora Missing Textures - UI Skin
BagBrother - Shows contents of bags/bank for alts.
BagNon - Merges all of your bags into one.
Bartender 4 - Actions bars / easy hotkey adjustments.
BattlegroundTargets
BoneFilter - Filters the annoying Broken Bone loot message.
Clique - I use this for Tricks of the Trade. It allows me to Shift+Right Click the frame of the person I want to Tricks.
Deadly Boss Mods - Disable unless you PVE.
Error Filter - Filters annoying / unnecessary errors message (You cannot do that while mounted. Etc.)
Fonter
Gladius - Arena target frames.
Gnosis - Castbars.
Grid - Party/raid fraim.
HideRaidFrame
kgPanels - Buttons, panels, borders, etc.
LastSecond - Displays diminishing returns of your target/focus target.
LoseControlFix
Masque - Button skinning.
MasterPlan - Removes the annoyances of managing Garrison missions.
MoveAnything - Move anything.
OmniCC
PetTracker - Shows stable locations on the map, and ability cooldowns of the pet(s) you're facing.
Prat - Chat management.
Postal - Mail management.
Rarity - Displays via Tooltip if the mob you're hovering over drops anything of interest.
Raven - Buff/debuff icons.
SCT - Scrolling Combat Text
SexyMap - Map management.
Skada - Damage meter.
Skinner
STUF - Unit Frames.
TidyPlates - Nameplates.
TipTac - Tooltip management.
Titan Panel - Bottom info bar.
WeakAuras - God Mode
Past Notes:

-New Default Grid profile only displays members of your party. (If you want to display the entire raid, you can choose the other profile.

-Moved Skada
-TomTom added.

-Skinner removed! Aurora is back! After using Skinner for a bit, I decided that I preferred Aurora.

-FINALLY fixed a bug that has been plaguing me for some time now. Apparently there's a bug in Blizzard's UI frame that affects the STRATA(frame level) of certain UI elements making them sometimes unreadable/unclickable. Well, I finally found out that there's an addon called StrataFix that fixes this ANNOYING bug. Hugs and kisses goes to the legendary oscarucb for authoring this addon. That guy rules. For any of you using the UI who have experienced this ridiculously annoying issue, this is now fixed.
-Moved target unit frame and WeakAuras bars to better balance the UI
-Removed DBM bloat
-Removed SharedMedia LIb 3.0
-Blacklisted Windwalk
-Added tenths of seconds under 1 second in OmniCC

Thanks for checking it out, man! I really have put a ton of effort into trying to make it perfect. I've received a lot of good feedback so far and I'm incredibly greatful that people have continued downloading and using th UI!

Anyway, easy fix! /kgpanels config > active libraries > zToggle -Minimalist > there you can adjust the positioning. For such a short move I suggest uing th nudger aka the up, down, left and right arrows that appear within that section of kpanels. Let me know if you have any problems and thanks again!

I have not tried this yet if im being honest because going out and resetting things typically screams more headaches and effort than its worth.

But I just disabled Move anything, and the quest tracker moved to where I wanted it.

I think what we have is a conflict between both sexymaps and move anything.

So my next question is, what elements have you moved with move anything ? Cause I think I will need to go over them all as it looks like move anything will need to be removed for me

Wow, ok I eventually figured it out.

The issue was not because of a conflict with sexymaps and MoveAnything but a conflict within MoveAnything itself and 2 lots of settings.

Under Achievements & Quests you have Objectives Window, This simply would not remain where I put it, because Objectives Window SCALE was moving it back to its original spot.

I had to reset Objectives Window and move it to where I wanted, then I reset the scale version but never changed a setting! I simply closed it at this point. Now when I log in, my quest tracker is bang on perfect.

Vacant,

I was just wondering. Given how your always updating the UI, which is ace, and adding in new addons and removing others, how would we update our UI, if we customized them for our screens and comfort.

Im pretty sure I know how to, but the answer is being clouded by an empty space at the moment lol.

Cheers.

You are safe to update everything other than the shared media folders and TidyPlates through the Curse Client. All of your particular custom settings will remain.

Ohhh okay.

Well, what you can do is download the UI. Then manually add only the new addon and the corresponding file in the savedvariables folder.

For instance using the most recent update as an example:

1. Download and extract the new update.
2. Download Omnibar via the Curse Client, or through whichever website you choose. I use the Curse Client because it's really convenient.
3. Open the updated UI folder. Navigate to Vacant UI v1.32\WTF\Account\(YOUR ACCOUNT NAME IN CAPS)\SavedVariables
4. Copy the two Omnibar savedvariables files and then add those to your existing WTF folder in the matching spot.

Also, make sure to disable/remove TrufiGCD or move where it appears in your UI as I've used that screen real estate for OmniBar.

Hope that helps!

No other Addons installed... only from your package

Reload - didnt work
disable Aurora - didnt work
disable Postal - didnt work

Any idea which Addon are the problem?

Found it Kgpanels are the problem, how can i fix this?

Thx
This is actually a problem caused by taint in Blizzard's UI. There's a lot of posts out there about it. I included an addon called StrataFix which fixes this for the most part. However, this still happens with the PVP Panel.

To completely alleviate the problem you can bind a key to directly open the PVP Pane. For whatever reason this only happens when you open the Group Finder and the Dungeons and Raids portion is shown ahead of it.

You can do this by going into Key Bindings > Interface Panel > bind a key to Toggle PVP Pane.

This completely alleviates the annoying taint issue. Let me know if you found the same results!

Thanks for checking out the UI!!!

P.S. I noticed that you were possibly German! I was just in Köln!
Hey V4cant,

Me again lol.

With regards to the quoted, the H key by default is bound to the pvp panel. Using this, or even making a new one still gives me a blacked out pvp panel.

It has literally only just come to light, as since getting back into wow, its the first time I thought of doing a BG without my mate who normally group leads.

Nothing has been added to the UI or any major parts removed.

** UPDATE **

I have found that the pvp pane HAS TO BE the first pane you open from a fresh game load. If it is not, it will be covered in the black cover.
So really press H after you logged in to be sure, or if its covered press H, close the panel do /reload and press H again.

raven

Yo vacant,

Love the UI and tweaked most of it to my liking but I couldn't figure out how to move the spell timer bars down a bit. I thought it was raven but couldnt find the options and didnt want to mess anything else up. I posted the pic here as you can see the castbars overlap the target UI so I wanna move it down. Your help is greatly apprieciated man thanks!

Hi Vacant,

I am using another interface set. Do you mind sharing your Weakauras strings please? Seeing big CDs would be invaluable in combat
