The only resolution that is supported is 1920x1080. Most other resolutions should still work, but I can't guarantee it. You may have to adjust the layout a bit yourself.
As WeakAuras is part of the UI upload, back up / export your own WAs before installing.
KaitUI is beer-powered. If it runs out of beer, it stops working.

Step 1 Backup your current UI. Do this by opening your WoW folder and moving the Fonts, Interface and WTF folder to a safe place elsewhere on your hard drive. If things go wrong later, put these folders back into your WoW folder and all will be as it was. Step 2 Unzip the download and move the Fonts, Interface and WTF folder into your WoW folder Step 3 Inside the WTF folder you will find folders that are name WTF > Account > ACCOUNTNAME > SavedVariables. Rename the folder called ACCOUNTNAME to be whatever your account name is. If you are unsure what to name it, check the folders that you backed up in Step 1. Step 3.5 Go to https://www.tukui.org/download.php?ui=elvui and download ElvUI. Once you've unzipped the download, put the two folders into your Interface>Addons folder. Step 4 Start WoW. On the character selection screen, click the Addons button in the bottom left, then in the top right of the panel that pops up Make sure that Load out of date AddOns is checked. Make sure ALL addons in the list are enabled Step 5 Once you are in the game, ElvUI will be propting you with instalation stuff. Click SKIP PROCESS Step 6 Once Elv has reloadui your UI, you might need to use the Raid Frame Menu (second from right of the footer buttons) to change raid frames to one of the presets Also - I just found a small issue with the buffs - If when targeting yourself the buff and debuffs top left and top right aren't symmetrical, go to ElvUI (/elvui) > Buffs & Debuffs, and disable. It will ask you to reloadui. |
NOTES - Open WeakAuras with /wa for now (not the menu). Opening WeakAuras config with the menu first causes it to appear with items missing from the aura list. Collapse/uncollapse something in the list and it will immediately fix it. After the config has been opening once it should be fine all subsequent times. - there are some hidden bars (including bar1) to the right of the main action bar. These are bars for keybinds. The main visible bar is for showing cooldowns. The assumption is that you know what your keybinds are. - the pet bar and class power bars kind of ruin the elegance of the player frame area. I personally will be using weakauras to show them in a more contextual way, but I thought I'd leave the Elv versions visible as default in case anyone got confused. - The 3D model of you character on the Spec/Talents screen is positioned as if your character is a female night elf. For some other races, specifically small races, your player model might be way off. I'll make a tutorial on how to fix that soon, but basically you have to exlude your race from loading on the main KaitUI Talents > Player aura, duplicate it and make the new aura only load for your race, then adjust the XYZ display values. Don't use the slider's though, edit the texts, because you have to do it blind. When in WA config, it's not showing you the model right. |

I cannot use it...
So I recently installed your UI and all of a sudden on get on my warrior EXCITED and Ecstatic of the new badass UI. Then I enter the world, I do your steps (correctly!) and then I reload to be greeted by a cluster fuck of fire, and everything out of place. Please help, this UI is probably my favorite.

I can't exactly remember/figure out what the problem you're describing is. I do remember that Grid was a bit buggy in regards to people joining and leaving the raids during combat. And also the profile changing didn't work while in combat? Not sure. Also - there are scripts in kgPanels relating to Grid. They are the ones that trigger when you click the popup menu on the right. There may have been also some that triggerred when enterring the world or a new instance but again I'm not sure. I've installed WoW again anyways and will be sorting out a new sub soon, so hopefully I can get in game in the next few weeks and have a look. |

Okay, so I got the UI all working on the pre-patch and... this is a bit of a stretch, but by any chance do you know how you managed to make Grid function the way it used to? The frames look like they should, and everything is fine, but the positioning of the raid frames are messed up and keep resetting - they're not where they should be, and when I move them there, they snap back to an odd position when someone else joins the group. I've resorted to manually moving them every time this happens, but it's not exactly ideal.
I may've found a possible solution to the position-resetting, by moving the initial player frame to the location that it'd be in a full group - but now I've got the issue of smaller groups (2, 3 or 4 people) not being centered and shunted instead to the side; in the position it would be if there were five people present. I figured it might have something to do with the anchoring, but so far every option I've tried has the same issue. I've updated Grid, but it sorted nothing, and I figured it might have something to do with the layouts you have for it that came with this UI; I've been scratching my head over it for hours - it's the only thing in the UI that's out-right broken. Functionally, it works just the same and I can heal and target and all that just fine, but the position-resetting is driving me crazy. I understand you don't currently have sub, so I don't know if you'll be able to give any insight at all, but I figured that I'd post here just in case there's a solution, or to let anyone know they're not alone should they suffer from the same problem! |

After that, I'm going to make a new asymmetrical UI to can work with both the normal camera and the new action camera. It probably won't use the under-feet resource bars, but you never know. It's going to have a bunch of stop motion weakAuras in it, and all the other shenanigans.. :-) |

Do you plan on altering the layout of your UI once Legion hits and we get the option for a player resource bar beneath our feet? Seems like a really great way to be even more minimalistic! Seeing as it is centered beneath our character though that means a lot of optimal minimalist setups block its view. Curious to hear your thoughts on it!

Yes the gap above the minimap is for Target buffs and debuffs, symmetrical to the Player versions on the left. I kinda hate the minimap in WoW to be honest. It's stupid, you don't really need it imo. |
