SixUI  Updated this week!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 11.0.16
by: Sixthly [More]

SixUI
SixUI provides a minimal design with pixel-perfect borders accross all UI scales and screen sizes, with support for skinning Blizzard's HUD and many third-party AddOns. It does not skin Blizzard's dialogs and windows, which is an intentional design choice. The following layouts are included:

- Standard: Designed for playing with an MMO mouse, featuring Naga-style action bars.
- Damage: Designed for playing with a keyboard.
- Minimal: Designed for playing with a WeakAuras pack that replaces action bars.
Features
- Easy to install and update.
- Edit Mode compatibility.
- Layouts for damage and healing roles.
- LibDataBroker compatibility with many included plugins.
- Pixel perfect, customizable borders.
- Skinned Blizzard action bars, auras, chat frame, and minimap.
- Skinning support for many third-party AddOns.
- Some basic quality of life automations.
Instructions
- Install SixUI and any supported or suggested AddOns you are interested in.
- Log in to your character.
- When SixUI's setup frame opens, review the changes and click "Apply All."

A: Go to SixUI > Blizzard > Action Bars and modify or delete the state text for each action bar you want to adjust.

Q: How can I turn off sounds for new whispers and guild messages?
A: Go to SixUI > Blizzard > Chat Frame and uncheck the Message Sounds option.

A: To add custom categories, type a category name inside parentheses in a friend's note. For example, "(Keystones)" or "Ben (Keystones)".

11.0.16
  • Add hints to tooltips. Hints can be disabled in each display's
    context menu.
  • Add more localization strings.
  • Display Durability: Show item level when durability is high (80%).
The display mode and item level source can be configured in the
    display's context menu.
  • Display Guild: Add a list of communities to the context menu.
  • Display History: Replace the secondary tooltip with a context
    menu.
  • Display Valor: Track Gilded Harbinger Crests instead of Valor.
  • Integration Skada: Add a migration for importing SixUI's
    profile.
  • Integration Skada: Resolve an issue where windows could have empty
    space.
  • Resolve an issue where a display could sometimes be missing its
    border.
  • Resolve an issue where action buttons were sometimes not fully
    skinned.
  • Resolve an issue where Grid2 had a visible black border.
  • Resolve an issue where the Edit Mode layout could desync when
    changing specialization.

Known Issues:
  • The "Objective Tracker Auto-Collapse" aura is blocking interactions
with quest items directly from the objective tracker.

The SixUI "compilation" no longer includes any third-party AddOns. This change was made to ensure that AddOn authors have full control over their releases. When installing SixUI, please remember to manually install any recommended (and optionally, suggested) AddOns.

Hello Sixthly,

The update seems to be working great. The buff bars are all working as intended. The minimap is still not working, but at this point it must just be something on my end. I'll just deal with it. Thanks for the updates to the other things. The UI is working near perfectly right now.

Hopefully the next patch won't be too much of a headache.

Thanks,
Paragot.

Good catch! This was an oversight. I'll release an update shortly which fixes the debuff duration regression and also improves the detection of temporary weapon enchants.
Thank you so much! Again if I catch any other bugs, I'll be sure to let you know. As it stands right now Gnosis seems to be working completely fine now. And I haven't really seen any other glaring problems. The minimap is still a mystery, though. If I discover anything else, I'll be sure to let you know!

Thanks again for the wonderful UI and doing the bugfixes.

The bar assumes a 2-hour duration for temporary weapon enchants, which is true for most weapon runes. This assumption was made because it's not trivial to query the real value. However, I realise that some temporary weapon enchants may have shorter durations, such as 30 minutes or 1 hour. I'll see if this can be improved on.
Ahh, I understand! If it's too difficult to make it more accurate, then don't worry about it. The Hunter enchants are 1 hour in duration, in case you wanted to know.

Thanks for the fixes. I'll test out the new update and come back with any problems.

It occurred to me after reading your comment about it, that the Gnosis problem might actually be on my end. I'll investigate the issue and report back.

The minimap issue is a weird one. I'm not exactly sure how to replicate it either, it just does it on its own.

Something I forgot to mention: one of my characters doesn't have the Dragon Isles overview overlay button on the minimap (character is level 68 with drake and all factions, except Loamm, unlocked). I'm not sure if that is on my end or on the addon's end.

Broker issue was a "for your information" sort of thing. I've fixed it on my end, and it shouldn't be a top priority because Bazooka is not a recommended addon. But thanks for looking into this.

Edit: After some messing around I think the Gnosis thing might be fixed (without me doing anything)? I'll do more investigation when I can.

Edit 2: The "Lowered the default UI panel position to avoid overlapping with the chat frame." is huge for me, been driving me nuts for a long time now. Thank you so much for doing this.

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue but will continue investigating.

This should be fixed in 10.1.2, but since I couldn't reproduce it, I had to make a few assumptions. Please let me know whether the issue is resolved.

Sometimes SixUI loads the Gnosis config to ensure that the right one is being used for the active SixUI layout. As a result, changes you make in Gnosis may occasionally be lost. To prevent this from happening, you can update the Gnosis config by going to "Gnosis -> Configuration (Profiles) -> Update Config" after you make any changes. By doing so, when SixUI loads the Gnosis config, it will include any change you've made.

This has not been fixed in 10.1.2, but there is a chance it will be addressed in a future update.

Hello Sixthly,

I've encountered a few of bugs.

1. The minimap moves on its own, and I'm not sure what's causing this. It will move up and down. I noticed that the bounding box sometimes changes in Edit Mode. Sometimes the map it outside the bounding box, and other times it isn't. That might be the reason why it's moving on its own, but not the cause. Maybe the addons menu introduced in 10.1? Outside of bounding box example: https://i.imgur.com/re8HUrH.png

2. It's hard to see stacks for debuffs. In the Echo of Neltharion fight in Aberrus, when I get the stacking debuff of Shatter, for example, it's hard to see how many stacks I have. Maybe it's just that icon's color that makes it hard to see the number. I feel like other stackable buffs and/or debuffs I can read a bit better. Example: https://i.imgur.com/jy8XAeQ.png

3. Gnosis doesn't seem to update the bar color for classes. No matter what class I am playing it always shows Hunter colors. Sometimes in the open world it will show my current classes' color, but when I enter into dungeons or whatever, it reverts back to the Hunter color.

4. This might be related to the last one, but this isn't a bug and more of a question. You implemented a feature in one of the updates that will automatically switch profiles to a certain profile when entering combat, entering an instance, or whatever. I was curious if there was a way to turn this feature off.

5. Your broker integration also integrates with Bazooka and puts SixUI broker things on its bar by default. It took me a long while to figure out what the extra Broker data was being added. I have this fixed now, but I just wanted to bring this up in case you wanted to remove this interaction for a future update. I might not be explaining this 100% correctly, but hopefully it makes sense if not, I'll try and explain it better.

6. I'm not sure if this is possible, but if it is, this is more of a suggestion. Opening windows for LFG, Adventure Guide, Spellbook, Appearances, etc. All open up above the chat. Is there anyway these can be set to default open just below the chat. Picture: https://i.imgur.com/XJCBFAG.png

And that's all I can think of at this time. I'll let you know if anything else comes up. Thanks again for maintaining this wonderful UI.

SixUI 10.1.0 is available on Curse. I'll publish an updated compilation once all third-party AddOns have been updated by their respective authors. Enjoy!

Lua Code:
  1. local screenWidth, screenHeight = GetPhysicalScreenSize();
  2. DefaultCompactNamePlateFrameSetUpOptions.useFixedSizeFont = screenHeight <= 1200;
confirmed to be fixed in .21
thank you again for your work on this ui <3
