SixUI  Updated this week!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 11.0.16
by: Sixthly [More]

SixUI
SixUI provides a minimal design with pixel-perfect borders accross all UI scales and screen sizes, with support for skinning Blizzard's HUD and many third-party AddOns. It does not skin Blizzard's dialogs and windows, which is an intentional design choice. The following layouts are included:

- Standard: Designed for playing with an MMO mouse, featuring Naga-style action bars.
- Damage: Designed for playing with a keyboard.
- Minimal: Designed for playing with a WeakAuras pack that replaces action bars.
Features
- Easy to install and update.
- Edit Mode compatibility.
- Layouts for damage and healing roles.
- LibDataBroker compatibility with many included plugins.
- Pixel perfect, customizable borders.
- Skinned Blizzard action bars, auras, chat frame, and minimap.
- Skinning support for many third-party AddOns.
- Some basic quality of life automations.
Instructions
- Install SixUI and any supported or suggested AddOns you are interested in.
- Log in to your character.
- When SixUI's setup frame opens, review the changes and click "Apply All."

Q: How can I add custom categories to the friends tooltip?
A: To add custom categories, type a category name inside parentheses in a friend's note. For example, "(Keystones)" or "Ben (Keystones)".

11.0.16
  • Add hints to tooltips. Hints can be disabled in each display's
    context menu.
  • Add more localization strings.
  • Display Durability: Show item level when durability is high (80%).
    The display mode and item level source can be configured in the
    display's context menu.
  • Display Guild: Add a list of communities to the context menu.
  • Display History: Replace the secondary tooltip with a context
    menu.
  • Display Valor: Track Gilded Harbinger Crests instead of Valor.
  • Integration Skada: Add a migration for importing SixUI's
    profile.
  • Integration Skada: Resolve an issue where windows could have empty
    space.
  • Resolve an issue where a display could sometimes be missing its
    border.
  • Resolve an issue where action buttons were sometimes not fully
    skinned.
  • Resolve an issue where Grid2 had a visible black border.
  • Resolve an issue where the Edit Mode layout could desync when
    changing specialization.

Known Issues:
  • The "Objective Tracker Auto-Collapse" aura is blocking interactions
    with quest items directly from the objective tracker.

I recommend creating a custom layout to achieve most of this. I'll PM you a basic example, which achieves most of what you've mentioned based on whether you're in a group or have a target. You can hold down <Ctrl> to force everything to show. You should disable the default "SixUI Layout" AddOn while using this.

Thanks! I can confirm the objective tracker fix works too. Well done!

I have a few obscure requests, but may be useful for others if you may be interested in adding features.

I like to minimise the amount of elements on the screen as much as possible, mainly only when solo questing, so want flexibility to be able to toggle on/off eassily. To that effect I re-configure Dominos and SUF to only show when I have a target or I'm in combat.

I'm struggling with hiding the other elements. Chat frame, display group 1, minimap, display group 2, and objective tracker. (Although there is no display group 2 anymore it seems.)

I script the following:
/script SixUI_ChatFrame:Hide();
/script SixUI_DisplayGroup1:Hide();
/script SixUI_AzeriteBar:Hide();
/script SixUI_ReputationBar:Hide();
/script SixUI_FriendsDisplay:Hide();
/script SixUI_GuildDisplay:Hide();
/script SixUI_HistoryDisplay:Hide();

The minimap and objective tracker isn't in this script.

I then have an opposite macro to re-show the frames.

It's not a great solution but wondered if you might create a toggle macro keybind which would similarly disable these elements. Perhaps able to be configured as to what is hidden for those who say might want to keep the minimap and objective tracker.

I can work around this myself with macros, but the most fiddly part is that I want to re-position the tooltip to the far left of screen and buff/debuff tracker to the far right of screen if the elements they are aligned to are not shown. Just like if Skada is visible the buff/debuffs re-align to accomodate.

And, one more request, it would be great to be able to have a setting to toggle the buff/debuffs. Again, can achieve this with MoveAnything easily, but with that, I have to set it up again each time I update the UI. It's not really a big deal though.

Great UI. These are just some suggestions I would personally find useful, and maybe some others too. If you have a beer fund or something I'm happy to donate (regardless of whether you take on board the suggestions). It's a great UI and I appreciate the effort in you putting it together, updating it and sharing it with the community.

This is one of the bugs, not sure if it has to do with raidframes but I only get them when I disable vuhdo, will paste more if I get them:

Code:
3x [ADDON_ACTION_BLOCKED] AddOn 'TinyTooltip' tried to call the protected function 'SetTargetClampingInsets()'.
!BugGrabber\BugGrabber.lua:519: in function <!BugGrabber\BugGrabber.lua:519>
[C]: in function `SetTargetClampingInsets'
...eBlizzard_NamePlates\Blizzard_NamePlates.lua:242: in function `SetupClassNameplateBars'
...eBlizzard_NamePlates\Blizzard_NamePlates.lua:87: in function `OnNamePlateAdded'
...eBlizzard_NamePlates\Blizzard_NamePlates.lua:44: in function <...eBlizzard_NamePlates\Blizzard_NamePlates.lua:35>

Locals:
InCombatSkipped
///

Some more errors:
https://pastebin.com/XkePwNwi

They seem to be Gladius/Badboy/World Quest Tracker and Blizzard frames related.

EDIT: I've turned off Gladius/Badboy since I don't care about them much so no worries. The raid frames tho..... D:

You should be able to disable or swap any of the included AddOns. Are you able to share a screenshot of the Lua error so I can look into it?

Great! I'll included these in the default profile for the next release. I can also confirm the changes to the objective tracker have addressed the invisibility issue. c:

Disable “Buff Bars” from the Settings menu on the Minimap.
I tried that but it still shows all the numbers when I press CTRL

Good catch. I assume you're creating the bar using Gnosis? Do you recall which vehicles/quests this is currently an issue in?
Yes, I simply create a duplicate of the Gnosis_Player, named Gnosis_Mirror and Gnosis_Vehicle and set the appropriate unit to detect.

I can't recall particular quests from BfA levelling or whether it was general levelling that I encountered it. Many vehicle abilities are instant so doesn't matter. One easy quest to test is the Defending Wyrmrest Temple daily available in Wyrmrest Temple in Dragnoblight. https://www.wowhead.com/quest=12372/...yrmrest-temple Ability number 1 has a cast bar.

Thank you for pointing this out. I've changed the way ObjectiveTrackerFrame is hidden/shown in SixUI version 8.0.8 to be more secure and hopefully resolve this issue, too.

Hey, SixUI is now using a different border style. Please see the changes for SixUI version 7.3.4.

I don't arena but assume that might have the same issue. Not tested yet but believe this should fix that issue.

Yeah, that's what i ended up with. I haven't done any lua-coding but I figured out how to anchor Skada to the upper left where I wanted them.

Thank's again for the awesome compilation!

E2: Did this, I think it works.
Some of SixUI_Layout.lua is responsible for anchoring buffs to Skada. If this is an issue, then you may want remove the following from line 78:

Code:
:SetScript("OnShow", Skada_OnShow):SetScript("OnHide", Skada_OnHide)
Alternatively, if you want to position Skada in-game then you could delete lines 78 and 79 entirely.
