oUF Abu  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 8.0-3
by: sticklord [More]

Requires oUF 8.0.2

My personal Unitframe layout, based (heavily) on oUF_Neav. No plugin is supported as for now, except those that does not require support from the layout. Feel free to ask if you'd like one supported. Basic units including boss and arena frames are supported, but not raid frames. I've grown found of the blizzard ones, when they work that is.

Features

  • Aura Filter
  • Flashy castbar with channeling ticks
  • Threat glow
  • Portrait Timers
  • Absorb bar (0 - 100% of HP)
  • Set/Clear focus hotkey
  • Coloring of frames
  • Weakened Soul bar
  • Warrior Enrage bar
  • Vengance bar for tanks
Configuration
  • Use "/ouf" or "/oufabu" to access the ingame configuration.
  • Party, Arena & boss frame can be moved by using "/oufabu lock".
  • Player, Target & Focus can be moved by using the right click menu.
There are also 3 different aura filter, you can click on auras with CTRL+ALT
down or use the spell ID in the option panel to edit them.
  • Boss Frames: A whitelist were you can add debuffs to show, for example your own dots.
  • Arena Frames: A whitelist for buffs, some are included.
  • Rest: For the rest of the frames it works like this: On npc's the default is to only show your auras,
on players everything it shown. Some are included here aswell, you can find them in the file "oUF_Abu/Aurafilter.lua"
Notes
  • I've tested it for a while now so shouldn't be any big bugs, but probably a taint every now and then, can't get away from them.
  • If you wanna report a bug, thanks, I would prefer if you could do it here however.
  • You can also find it on github
Supported Locales
  • Chinese Simplified, thanks to yaoenqi
  • Chinese Traditional, thanks to yaoenqi again
  • German, thanks to bullsei
Big thanks to
Neal & Renstrom for oUF_Neav, Phanx for her layout, P3lim, Haste, Tuller & Jaliborc.

Anyhow, gj on mod! Really fits my personal taste. In general, I like the default look, but the unit frames is so dated and you've made it perfect, so good job!

EDIT: Think I've found the mod, nMainbar. But not sure where in the config.lua I set the colour like you have. I mean the color on gryphon, minimap etc. You have much darker tone to them.
Yeah i use a custom script for coloring, but I think Facepaint would do the same thing. You can type "/run print(unpack(oUFAbu:GetProfile().frameColor))" ingame to get your current frame color for this addon.

I gotta admit, those frames looks pretty. But then again it's photoshopping involved, and I'm not too fond of that And with the expansion coming up I'm not sure if frames will change or anything. Adding an option for it shouldn't be too much trouble though. If i can get into the beta one day I'll see what i can do.

Hey, first of all i really like you work.
Atm i use whoaUnitframes but i really like yours. The only thing that bothers me is that your frames has equal height for hp and resource bars which doesnt look neat in my opinion. Is there a chance you could make an option to switch between those styles.

Here's a link to a picture demonstrating what i mean. http://i.imgur.com/lKfYIn1.jpg

Thanks!
Then feel free to make me some fatter party frames:P I'll need the "party.blp" and "party-flash.blp" files inside "oUF_Abu/Frames/" folder. Yeah it already has quite a few features, don't feel like adding too many.

I'd like to run a feature request by you however.
Allowing the Pet,ToT and Group frames to have the thick health/power bars like the primary frames. One of the reasons why I don't like the default frames and was never totally happy with the Neav frames was the bars were to small. I'm not blind or anything but I just prefer the larger frames at a glance.

Cheers!
Are you good woth photoshop? Maybe the party frames could be made larger, but i don't really feel i need bigger tot/pet frames.

Had not noticed it wasn't centered, thanks
I'll fix it later, but you can do it yourself. Change the line 242 in Layout.lua to:
Lua Code:
  1. self.Power.Value:SetPoint('CENTER', self.Power, 0, 0)

To remove latetency delete every line in Castbars.lua that has SafeZone in it. Maybe I'll add an option for this later.
Text is now centered, gonna try to remove latency and one more thing, taget buffs/debuffs text is alslo not centered, its about 2pixels to the left i think, sorry to bother you but i really like those frames

Nvm found it in auras.lua child.text:SetPoint("CENTER", button, "TOP", 0, 0) was -2,0 and castbar latency succesfully removed just delete what you said thx once again

No sorry, no options for that. You can scale them bigger though but ain't really the same thing.

You might want to turn off all mods except oUF Abu and see if the runes show then. If so then another mod/setting is overriding oUF Abu. Might narrow down what is causing the problem.
Just a suggestion!
That's exactly what I'm doing right now and it does show without anything else besides ouf Abu. So I'm currently having fun logging in/out to figure out which addon is preventing the bar from showing. I'll let you know which one is doing this so maybe you can find why it's hiding it.

Alright I have found the culprit.... Vuhdo is blocking the runebar for some odd reasons. Any idea why hes blocking/hiding it?
I wonder if it's hiding "Blizzard frames" and thus hiding the runebar. Perhaps digging through the options (Which you're probably already doing) to see if you can find that option. I don't use Vuhdo so I'm of little help, sorry.
I love the login/logout trying to track down a misbehaving mod. One of the wonderful meta-game aspects to WoW.
FOUND IT! It was indeed Vuhdo. My bar is back and it was a simple little button I had to press. Vuhdo was hiding my "player frame" and was preventing the bar from showing everything is fine now.

Thanks everyone!
