To be considered before installing:Because the design of MazzleUI/FauxMazzle is firmly based in the CRT era of World of Warcraft gaming it is probably never going to fit well into some of the wider monitor aspects available today.
Returning Players:Endorsements. This is not the same FauxMazzle you used before Shadowlands. Your settings from BfA and earlier WILL BE LOST!
These addons will need to be removed from your Interface\AddOns folder (if they exist): Discord Art, Scrolling Combat Text (SCT, SCTD), TrinketMenu, HitsMode5
* If something goes wrong: the first thing to do would be to Exit The Game, then open the [WoW game folder]\_retail_\WTF\Account\[your account name]\SavedVariables folder. Delete the files: FauxMazzle.lua and FauxMazzle.lua.bak. Re-start the game. *** This will cause a loss of all FauxMazzle character settingsWhere's my game (micro) menu and where are my bags?

Thanks for the /duf hint. I actually did try that once last night but it was late and I was like so I just moved on.
Somehow I've lost that chat loot frame. I tried running /fm again and just clicking the "Chat Frames" option but that didn't fix it. This behavior is what I'm talking about when I say I think some of the chat settings must be server side. Anyway, I'll blow away the Prat Saved Vars and try /fm again. Also I'm kind of thinking that it being lost isn't a horrible thing since I do need a location for Recount more than I need to know loot. <shrug> Is adding/configuring a cast bar (like Quartz) beyond the scope? The Ice Hud versions just aren't working for me. Also, and I know this might be more a personal preference, but I don't like Ice Hud always showing. I like it gone (or almost nearly gone) when OOC. And when in combat the bars are a bit too delicate looking. They need a bit more weight to them. Lastly, I found some things I sorely missed last night that I think you could maybe add as and "Also Recommended" section at the end of your write-up. Limiting this to Questing and Instances so far I have: OmniCC, DBM, Mapster, Recount, SmartBuff, TomTom, and tullaRange. EDIT: Maybe it was a fluke but it seems that running /fm on a new toon with all options checked reset Dominos and Autobar for all my other toons. The other toons where I had just finished "fixing" Dominos and Autobar. Yucky. Found Queue Status, Dungeon Difficulty, and Guild Group Flag were marked Hidden in MoveAnything. I feel these are important. Especially the Queue Status "eye" since it offers very useful options when right clicked. I unhided them all and set all but Queue Status to the left side of the minimap. Queue Status I moved over to the left of the Tracking button. I also moved the Mail button over that way too. This allowed me to move the TrinketMenu where the Mail button was. I couldn't find anything else in that area so hopefully I haven't covered up anything.

Type /duf (you'll need to move the DUF configuration window out of the way) and you will get a good idea of the overall realestate usage of FauxMazzle over and beyond the day-to-day.
Chat frames: on the right hand side there is the combat log and loot frames split left/right and fit the bottom half of the right "castle" background. They fade out after a period if not "used" ie. faded on login by default.

You know the layout much better than me. I still don't have a good visual of where everything is. I just pulled it up and left, above the pet frame some so it's probably on top of something important.
I've spent some time trying to get the chat frames to my liking. I think that some of the chat settings must be server side or something. Either that or Prat just isn't taking control the way I feel it should. Was the right hand side supposed to be just the combat chat frame or was there something else over there? I didn't seem to have anything so I also did some extensive changes to the Dominoes bars (I like me some buttons). Then I put Recount there and adjusted the Combat chat frame to fit to the left. I also add in Bazooka and many of my "must have" broker items. Still have some adjustments and alterations to do with those. |

I'll add it to the MoveAnything Config. I'm thinking right hand side of the window above where the Xloot rolls are anchored? The left hand side is pretty full with unitframs, boss frames and tooltip. thoughts?

It's the battle.net popup window that shows when Bnet friends log in & out. It might even pop up when someone sends a Bnet broadcast. I know you can enable/disable it by Interface > battle.net > "Show Toast Window" but I actually use that little guy. Anyway, after a few attempts I was able to latch onto it with MoveAnything and reposition it.

Re: Re: Re: Issues
Thank you for that, I've just updated the RatingBuster link with the Curse location.
Not sure what the toast frame is (Battle.Net toast frame?).

Re: Re: Issues
I did a quick LK raid and I have a problem with the XLoot roll bars. They are partially off the screen. Also, the Toast window is hidden behind my character UF. Screenshots attached again. |

Re: Issues
I think your RatingsBuster might be out of date. I'm using r397 from Curse and line 6509 is part of the large SpellCritPerInt table not an execution code line.
the file also containt the following comment: Code:
--5.0.4 (build 16016) GetPrimaryTalentTree() removed and replaced with GetSpecialization()

Issues
Fizzlemizz,
I'm using 1920×1080. Screenshots attached that should show all the issues I mention in my previous post. Edit: Forgot to mention that I haven't tested in a raid yet but will do that soon.

Re: Issues
Hi Excelis, thank you for trying FauxMazzle.
Suggestions are always welcome. Going through the list: Map/Bag buttons were designed with the default artwork in mind and don't change size with the different skins. I use action/mouse buttons for these and they don't get much of a lookin so admittedly they could be a bit larger in default as well. I'll get them fixed for the next update, good eye . Could I ask which resolution you are using so I can check out thre TrinketMenu issue? MazzleUI was created in the days of the more square CRT monitors so the chat backgrounds were a lot closer to the center. Nothing can be done about the main chat frame but I'll test to see if sizing the two on the right into the action bar space works. Probably an option to do that or leave it if people want to use the space for more action buttons. I've don't get any errors from RatingsBuster. Can you post the error message here and/or the RatingsBuster page. I can take a look see. There souldn't be a chat panel dropdown menu unless you are using another chat addon as well as or instead of Prat or, I'm not understanding what you mean by chat panel dropdown. A screenshot would be nice. The 3D portraits in DUF are taken from the standard Blizzard ModelFrame template. While most targets fit the frame quite well, there are the occaisional ones that have odd appearances like being too small or even sometimes only a portion of the model is displayed. I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done but the thought of trying to track down every single possible target in WoW and coding a fix into DUF is enough to give me a nervous breakdown . This is the one downside of using 3D over solid 2D for portraits. As for GoGoMount, DBM etc, you are free to add/remove whichever addons work for you. I use other addons like SmartBuff and Gatherer, EasyMail etc. Unlike when MazzleUI was first created, these days there's usually more than one addon to do the same job and I don't want to shoe-horn people using addon X if they prefer or their guild demands addon Y. I'll give some thought to additional addons although (with the exception of MoveAnything), these are the ones I use. These are outside the scope of FauxMazzle which was just to try and make it easy to re-create the orginal look. I hope I didn't miss anything and thank you for taking the time to post.

Issues
Fizzlemizz,
Spent a little time tonight putting this on three 90 toons. Here are some issues (and suggestions, I hope you don't mind suggestions) in no particular order: -Map Button and Bag Button are a bit small or finicky. I noticed this more on the Belf Art than on the other arts. -Trinkets are in a odd location for my toons. Too far to the left by at least a quarter inch; just sitting on the art boarder. -Chat panels seem horizontally small. There's about a half inch of empty space between the chats panel and the beginning (or ending) of the button bars. -Ratings Buster is giving an error ever time I cursor over the trinkets. I disabled Ratings Buster and the issue went away. -The left chat panels drop down arrow to switch between the different panels is a bit small and finicky. It was too easy to miss it and open up the chat line. Also something seems borked with the chat tabs. On one toon I had one top tab that said "Trade" no matter which of the chat panels I chose. On the other two toons they both show two top tabs of "Group" and "Guild". -Training Dummy doesn't fit in the target cave correctly. -Autobar needs the Mounts button added somewhere I think. Or maybe you should consider adding something like GoGoMounts. -Suggest you add (and configure) a questing mod. SorhaQuestLog might work nicely for you. -Also suggest you include SmartBuff (and maybe SmartDebuff). Since this would have a button it would be better if you controlled it's placement from the get go. -A lesser suggest is that you add DBM (or another similar boss mod). You can set up where/how the warnings would be shown. |

Re: Errors
Hi Excelis,
All three packages were updated with the latest Discord Library to ensure you didn't have to install them in any special order. In this case, you only need to install FauxMazzle as that was the only one that had any change other than the DiscLib. update. Having a look at my version (r763) of SRF which I believe is the latest, it does not contain or use LibHealComm-3.0. Sadly it seems that the SRF page has been removed from Curse and I have sent an email to see if this was deliberate or the result of a malicious attack they seem to have suffered recently. Edit: It looks like the version of SRF on WowInterface is outdated and the latest version is only at Curse. I've updated the URL on this page which sadly at this stage is just as useful as the old one until Curse (hopefully) re-instated the page. Edit2: It looks like the Curse page is back up at a new URL. I have updated the link on this page to take people to the new location and will update the comments on the SRF page here at WowInterface.

Errors
First, it apperas that there is a DiscordLibrary version in at least 3 places. Which one do we keep?
Also, I'm getting a lot of errors. I believe most are from sRaidFrames. These prevent the /mf function from working. I disabled sRaidFrames and /mf worked. But then my pet (water elemental) was stuck on passive even though the pet bar showed different. I did try change him to passive and then back to assist but that didn't help. He just stood there. I'll try to post the first one error... Re: Thanks
Thank you for the feedback Nonspecific.
FauxMazzle will never have the silly Gnome , That was a cool Mazzlefizz thing. FauxMazzle is just an easy way to get that look and feel of a once great UI. As for new textures, if you're talking about background art, I'm not planning on adding any more or different looks. I don't have permission to release the additional backgrounds that were part of MazzleUI but feel free to create your own. If once again you're talking about the Mazzifier, life is way too short and the game way too changeable these days to get that intricate. I'm pretty sure MazzleUI would never have gotten off the ground in the form it took if Blizzard hadn't taken seven years before bringing out TBC.
