What's New in 1.3.0?
Version 1.3.0 add custom channel to the list of tab flashing you can enable and disable. A dialog box was added to reload the UI after enabling or disabling custom channels.
What is LittleBuddha?
LittleBuddha is a chat addon designed to do only one thing and do it well. It manages the flashing of the chat tabs when a new message is received. You can enable/disable tab flashing for a variety of channels. This comes in especially handy if you have multiple chat tabs to separate channels like I do. I have a tab called "Guild" just for guild chat and another called "Whispers" just for whispers and BattleNet chat. With flashing enabled I don't have to constantly check if something is typed. The tab will flash when I receive a message.
Why did you make LittleBuddha?
I made LittleBuddha originally for personal use. I wanted an add-on that could manage the flashing of chat tabs however all the add ons I tried were either broken in one way or another OR were bloated with all kinds of features I didn't want.
What channels can LittleBuddha use?
Regular Channels:
* Whisper
* Guild
* Officer
* Party
* Party Leader
* Raid
* Raid Leader
* Instance
* Instance Leader
* BattleNet Whisper
* BattleNet Conversation
General Tab Channels:
* Whisper (General Tab)
* BattleNet Whisper (General Tab)
* BattleNet Conversation (General Tab)
Custom Channels:
* Channels 1-10
Note: Custom channels include Zone, Trade, and custom channels.
What are these General Tab Channels?
When you enable/disable any of the channels it works across all tabs except for the General Tab. The General Tab has some channels that are enabled by default and will remain enabled even if you disable the regular channel. For example if you disable the Whisper Channel it will be disabled on all tabs except for the General Tab. You can disable the Whisper Channel on the General Tab by specifying that channel.
How do I use this thing?
Using LittleBuddha is really simple. The syntax is /lb <command> and where <command> is you can use a channel.
Example: /lb whisper - Enable/Disable the Whisper Channel
Example: /lb guild - Enable/Disable the Guild Channel
Type /lb help to get a list of channels and usage information.
