LumUi - Fan update

Version: 1.5.4
by: apocalipsus [More]

This is a Fan update of LumUI originaly designed and created by neverg and uploaded with his permission

Neverg is no longer playing the game, and therefore is no longer updating his ui compilation.

Here is the original ui: Lumui
(check for information about the compilation)

Installation guide:
1. Backup your Fonts folder (if you have it), Interface and WTF folder.
2. Unzip the archive into the World of Warcraft root folder. Not the addon folder but the world of warcraft root folder. This is because inside the archive you will find a Fonts folder and an Interface folder.
3. That's it, there is no WTF because it's not needed by any addon needing configuration (at least important ones).
4. Refer to the individual addons if you need help configuring them. Most of the addons in this pack are configured through Lua editing so they might not be fitted for some users.
5. This UI works out of the package. You might only need to move some elements of the frames around. Go to oUF_lumen config file (cfg.lua) to see the available options. If you want to turn off the Class colored border edit the lumDrops.lua file. Should be self explanatory how to do it.
ada

First of all I'm sorry for not giving you an anwser before. The truth is that i missed this question on your previous post. I just read the first part asking about the "raid frame border debuff" and since you found the solution i kinda missed the rest of the post.
Anyway your question is solved:

Hey there.
Let me know how it ended up.
Its reaaaaaaly strange the frames not showing for a specific char alone.
I thought it had something to do with the "activate addons per char" but i guess i was wrong :/

Theres nothing on this frame ui (the oUF_lumen) saved on variables, everything is configured on the cfg file, thats why i assumed the addon was not properly loaded.

Good luck anyway.

Does anyone have an idea, why that could be?

Hey there.
Thats a really strange situation.
Let's see what we can do.

First:
You can activate addon depending on the character your playing with, so double check ouf_lumen is on with the character you want. Open the addon thing on the character select screen, then select your character name from the drop down list, and confirm it's activated for that character.
Make sure oUF is activated also, oUF_lumen wont work without oUF

Second:
When you enter with that specific character do you see the default game frames?
If yes, it means oUF_lumen isn't loading just like you sayed. We need to find another solution.
If no, theres something wrong with oUF_lumen wich is bad hehe.

Third:
Theres a file inside the "WTF/account/server/char" folder (i can't quite remeber what is the correct path, or the filename) where you can see the addons activated for that character. Open that file with notepad or something and look for ouf and ouf lumen.
The file should be something like this:

Code:
Addonname=true
Addonname2=false
Make sure oUF and oUF_lumen are set to true
I'll look up this file name when i get home.

Forth:
Well has a last resource. Delete the WTF folder. When you open the game it will generate a new one.
However this means you will need to reconfigure every game option/addon you had before.

Hope it helped

Anyway your question is solved:

Open oUF_lumen.lua go to line 143 and it should be somehting like this:
Code:
local c, l, ur, t= UnitClassification(unit), UnitLevel(unit), UnitRace(unit), UnitCreatureFamily(unit)
We gona add a new variable there the unitType and it should end like this:
Code:
local c, l, ur, t, ut = UnitClassification(unit), UnitLevel(unit), UnitRace(unit), UnitCreatureFamily(unit), UnitCreatureType(unit)
Now look a bit more down near line 167 (im gona paste a bit more code just to help you locate yourself)
Code:
elseif UnitPlayerControlled(unit) then
					str = string.format("|cff%02x%02x%02x%s|r |cffc2c2c2%s|r",d.r*255,d.g*255,d.b*255,l,t)
				else
					str = string.format("|cff%02x%02x%02x%s|r ",d.r*255,d.g*255,d.b*255,l)
				end
on the line that says
Code:
str = string.format("|cff%02x%02x%02x%s|r ",d.r*255,d.g*255,d.b*255,l)
(is the one after the "else" NOT the one after "elseif UnitPlayerControlled(unit) then"

and change it to
Code:
str = string.format("|cff%02x%02x%02x%s|r |cffffffff%s|r",d.r*255,d.g*255,d.b*255,l, ut)
And it should work

Can I somehow extract the settings for oUF lumen to use it in my own interface?
To make oUF lumen look like this, because I really like the setup of it.

Thanks. (:

First off, thank you for taking over updating this ui - it is greatly appreciated! <3

Second, is there a way that I can have debuffs in raid frames just show up as the border rather than the whole unit frame having a glow? It makes it hard to see people who are out of range. Though I see below you've said how to change the darkness of out of range people, I really would prefer just the border rather than the glow.
^^ sorted that one out

Thanks!

Edit to add: I have another question - how can I get the type of mob shown on the unit frame - ie Undead/demon/humanoid/etc?
^^ still unable to find this tho :\
Thanks again!

Easy, just go to the cfg.lua file, and look for the cfg.GroupUnit_FadeOutAlpha option (alpha is the Transparencyof the frame) and change it to whatever you like.
It ranges from 0.00 (totally Transparent) to 1.00 (no Transparency)
Thanks

Hey, thanks for clarifying this question.

Is it possible for the raid frames to automatically adjust depending on raid size? for example, the 25m raid frames would be a little bit smaller than the 10m ones, and the 40m ones probably smaller than that
It may be possible. However this could lead to hard to see frames for some players.

I'll give it a look and set an option to reduce the raid frame size (or not reduce the raid frame size), on the cfg file, when the raid members are higher then 10.
