SLDT  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.1
by: Taffu [More]

Simple Light Data Text Beta v3.1.1
--------------------------------------------------------

v3.1.1 Update: See Change Log for details.

Known Issues:
- When using vert/hor tweak in Move Mode, clicking on the frame makes the vertical tweak no longer work until a relog/reloadUI. Working on a fix...

SLDT (or Simple Light Data Text) is a text-based data tracking AddOn (see latest release rev at: SLDataText).

This is a Beta version of a major overhaul of the SLDT/SLDataText AddOn. This version marks a remarkable shift in design, minimizing memory usage, and using almost no mainstream libraries to create a simple yet functional AddOn.

This is a Beta AddOn, and as such, I expect there to be bugs!

Usage:
/sldt = Help
/sldt config = Configuration Mode
/sldt move = Movement Mode
/sldt font = List Font's via LibSharedMedia
/sldt font <font name> = Change Global Font
/sldt profile = Profile Options Help
/sldt enable/disable <tracker> = Enable/Disable

There is no GUI, everything is slash command and click based. SLDT uses a simplistic click-to-config system. While in configuration mode, hover the cursor over modules for tooltips with configuration options.

Please, if you are using this AddOn and want to report a bug/error/issue, please do so with as much information as possible. This will help me fix/modify the issue in as little time as possible.

This AddOn includes data trackers for Clock, Framerate, Latency, and Memory. Other data trackers will be released in time. SLDT is now an inclusive AddOn that does not allow modular plugins.

Features Expected Prior to Release:
- Frame Anchoring

v3.1.1: 15-Feb-11

Can you describe the glitch? How long is the FPS drop? Does it happen with every kill?
Yeah leaving combat after killing is what i meant. Basically it will happen for 1-2 sec everytime i enter and leave combat. I have upgraded and dowgraded several times to confirm and it definatly does not do it with 3.0.4 only 3.0.5. It is really strange because I had the same problem with the old SLDT only that was more severe as it locked my client up just running around.

Any thoughts?

hmm, updated just now, and the whole configuration menu (including profiles) seems to be "gone".

is this a feature (specifically profiles) that will be returning?
To answer your question...yes, profiling will be returning. SLDT is just a stripped down SLDataText, currently in Beta. Release should have all the same customization at a fraction of the resource cost.

Just got your PM today, however, with the most recent release I deleted all data files associated again and it doesn't seem to be reseting anymore. Not sure what changed but if it happens again I'll let you know.

Is there anyway to disable certain text modules yet? I looked but couldn't find anything unless I didn't look hard enough. I just shrunk it to as small as i could for now.

Doing so caused the Memory SLDT item to display 0.0MB for all values. Reenabling the datatext module within the TukUI configuration but setting it to a non-existent display point (9 in my case) allowed the SLDT memory item to properly display information again.

Is it possible that, if you have another module/addon which is capable of displaying memory and you disable it in preference of SLDT, doing so will also prevent SLDT from displaying the value properly?
This problem should be fixed with the latest version.

What resolution are you running on? They default about -400 vertical from the center at fresh load. 3.0.3 will center them, FYI. Uploading shortly...

Sorry for the questions, I can't get it to do the same thing.

Yes. There will be an option to enable/disable trackers as well as individually use the combat fading option with trackers.

If you /sldt move to toggle move mode off and then /sldt move to toggle back on...does the tweaking work again? Does it only stop working if you drag-move first?
