Re: Battleground Review and Enemy Raid Frames

I decided that neither of those modules really fitted in with the theme of the addon as a whole, so as of the next version, they will not be in the addon and will be released as separate addons. The map not changing is a known issue and has been fixed since the last release, the raid frames dont show for now because they are pre-alpha and i only provided them for anyone that wanted to test them.

Quick update: I've just finished the GMBanker module, theres a bit of blurb about it in the last post Here.
I'm continuing to finish off the new (shiny!) roster, update all of the documentation, and generally get the addon in a better state, before a hopefully much more stable release of 2.0
Thanks for your patience!

About localisations, it's ok atm. When do you think will you work on it, anyway?

Are you thinking about making other new features (while you work on the actual ones o when they are finished)?
Now that most of the modules work at least basically as intended, I'd like to work on improving them all before trying to come up with new ideas for features.
With that said, there are a couple of small ideas I may work on:

Some kind of scheduling system for the MOTD or events.
For example: you want to run an event every tuesday night, and for the afternoon you want to guild message of the day to reflect the event automatically: you select the hours for which you want the desired MOTD, and the update duration, and then every tuesday the MOTD will automatically change.
Taking this further you could then schedule events in, and once the time for the event arrives, the GMEvent module could automatically invite players to the event.
The other idea was a small tutorial to run through the features of the addon the first time it is loaded.

I havn't added localisation yet, sorry :/

Bit of an update: I've finished migrating a lot of the settings stuff today, and started working on the guild bank module
Bit of a preview:

The idea is that you will be able to designate certain slots to contain certain things, for example items of a certain quality, or consumables/reagents/armor.
The module will then auto allocate the items in the guild bank into these slots.
I'm going to have a bit of a think about how to implement it, so if you have any ideas for how you want it to work, nows a good time to let me know

Fixed

Well, after seeing your reply I tried a few things. I unloaded Mapster, Cromulent and HandyNotes (basically all my map addons). Started the game and the Locator worked. I then exited the game and restarted with Mapster, Cromulent and Handynotes loaded again and BAM! it worked again. Maybe it was just a glitch. I told everyone in the guild to unload all there map addons start the game, log out and reload them again. It worked with everyone. So it is fixed. not sure why, but I will not question the luck. Thanks again for a great add on.

Re: Locator module does not work

As far as my own addons I use Mapster and Cromulent for map addons, but they have not posed any errors in the past. Is there a known issue with the locator module?
Thank you.
That's odd, i've just tested it and its working fine for me. Ill take a look at the other addons u are using and see if there is a conflict.

I am the person who posted above you in that thread and I just wanted to say I love the idea of your addon but can't really get any of it working and the guild MOTD for some reason just keeps spamming every hour or so while your addon is active. Even if I disable all the modules it keeps doing it
I think the forum module looks like it will work though nice job there.. gunna test it later! But the rest of the modules are blank.

Many thanks and I really hope you see this project through to the end because it has bags of potential

PS any luck creating a guild mailer function?

Cheers

Hey, sorry I took a while to reply.
The last patch broke some stuff and I made some quick fixes to prevent the errors.
Unfortunately this led to a couple of bugs:
The rep bar will disappear when you go to the forum and back again.
Certain modules (any that place custom stuff on the guild frame) may not be able to be disabled.

I'm pretty busy at the moment which is why I've slowed down a bit with this.

I'm still working on a new roster which will allow you to search for certain things, show alts, and show extra info for players when you click on them.

I've tested out some stuff with the mail. the best solution I can some up with is to implement some kind of guild alert system;

I've been using GMOTD recently to spam the guild enough that people actually bother to read it. It's better than nothing, but I kinda wish it could be longer, or I could announce certain things at certain times. I might add in some kinda of method of scheduled messages. We'll see.

I havn't had many bug reports so I'm going to assume things are running fairly stable for most people.

My next steps will be to finish the new roster and move all of the functionality from GMStats to the roster. I'll then be working through each module and doing a bit of a cleanup, adding more settings and any small extras that are in the TODO lists.

Re: Cash Flow Guild Level 5 Tracking

Is this something that will be added to this addon in the future?

Thanks!
It does this already, but only tracks players with the addon. its currently in the guild stats pane, which you get to by clicking on the guild emblem of the guild frame. This is kind of awkward, so i will be moving all of the stats to the roster, which im currently re-designing.
