HL2WoW (1920x1080)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.0.3a
by: tenub [More]

Strongly inspired by Half-Life 2. Now stop PMing me to upload it.

Oh yeah, you might want to know how to set it up:

1. Typical WTF folder editing (account/server/char).
2. Start WoW, login, type "/reflux switch hl2wow".
3. Load the "hl2wow" Gnosis profile that should still be on your screen.

Post a comment if you think I forgot to mention something or contact Atho/Jelq on Korgath.

Addons used: !BugGrabber, Ampere, Bartender, BindPad, BugSack, ButtonFacade, Chinchilla, ColorPickerPlus, dNameplates, ForteXorcist, Gnosis, kgPanels, oGlow, OmniCC, OpenAll, Parrot, pHish Media, PitBull, Prat, Reflux, SatrinaBuffFrame, SharedMedia, SLDataText, TipTac, xUtils.

1.0.3a - Nameplates fix.
1.0.3 - Bringin' it back, baby.
1.0.2a - ACB profile fix.
1.0.2 - Addon updates.
1.0.1b - Raid/party frames border fix.
1.0.1a - Silly me.
1.0.1 - TipTac now matches. Addons updated to latest versions.
1.0 - Initial release.

Try searching for the Reflux addon which should be able to help you out.
It's alright, my new 21.5 inch monitor just got here, I have it all set up and I'm using it right now while I send this reply. But I had to call Blizzard Support on the phone, because for some reason the game won't recognize my screen resolution now. It thinks I still have the old monitor on. So they're looking into it to help me fix it. Once that's fixed, I should be able to get this set up, and not have to move things around now since I have a large widescreen display.

Any way you could tell me which addOn does the name plates and names above the heads of the players and NPCs? That's so much better than any other UI I've ever seen that does anything with those... I would love to know which addOn it is, so I can configure it and learn how to use it, so maybe someday I could use it to make my own UI with.

Is there a way to prevent having to reset up profiles on each character? Like if I wanna play with this UI on more than one toon, it's really tedious and annoying to have to reconfigure every addOn again for each toon. It would be better if I could do something to carry over every setting, by typing a command in the edit chat box thing, or clicking on something within a addOns GUI in game.

Is there currently a way to do that? If not, then I want to make it a request that we have a feature like that. Because this UI is brutally awesome to me. It's my new favorite right now.

Aside from me being a lazy person, I always highly encourage people to learn things on their own. However, I'm here to help. Although I'm far from an expert, I can assist with almost all aspects of customizing a UI and editing LUA / writing basic LUA. This being said, I would encourage you to look in each addon's settings to move things around until it fits your resolution.
I'll try that thank you. Actually it does work, everything was just slightly moved to the right off center. Everything fits on my screen. But next week, I have a new monitor coming. I finally found one at a fair price. I just kept waiting. I don't like greed.

About my size of screen, you're almost right. It's not 13 inches, it's 10 inches. It's very small, but it's a Flat panel LCD monitor, non-HD and of course non-widescreen. But the new one I just bought, is 21.5 inches and it's HD and of course widescreen. So it'll work even better on that, I won't have to do a lot of configuring.

As for LUA... I've tried to understand do my own customizations with LUA since I first discovered AddOns for WoW. I've played WoW for about 6 years on and off, quit and came back a lot because the leveling process bored the crap outta me all the time. I just never could understand LUA. I can find a line and edit it, that's about it. I can't configure or write my own LUA. I don't think I'll ever know how. I have a very bad mental learning disability, and it is the reason for this being so hard for me to understand. In a school setting, my learning level is still grade 8 and I'm age 26. However, an 8th grader can learn and configure and write their own LUA if they try and understand it, but I can't... and I don't really get that.

Thanks I'll try it and let you know what the outcome is once I try. I did however just got lucky and found an cheap 21.5 inch HD monitor. So I bought it. It'll be here next week. So for now, I'll configure it to work with this monitor, until the new one comes.

Also, where is the Action Bars? I can't memorize where every spell is.

Ah, enjoying my new awesome ui.
Fixed the problem with the error messages by removing some of the panes in KGpanels, cant remember the exact name, but it was the first ones under the active panels section something with b.
Second yes it helped with the reload, thank you!
at last i fixed the sudden stopping, by just decreasing the video settings.

thank you, thank you and only thank you for this awesome ui!

I reproduced your problem exactly by making a new character. You simply need to load all of the proper profiles and then /reload. Instead of climbing, the memory usage will then sit at a healthy steady 13.4MB.

I seem to have some kind of bug with AzCastBar, it doesn't load the profiles correctly. One has to set them right themselves (Not that big of a deal, just thought I'd let you know)

Other than that, I have had no bug or error what so ever!
Thanks for an awesome UI !!

EDIT: I tried wiping all Interface and WTF files, and reinstall the UI, but it didn't help, still AzCastBar acts up. What to do?

EDIT2: Also, reloading the UI (/reload ui) will reset the castbars.
Try the new version. The ACB profile should now work.
