This is my own personal configuration of VuhDo, for anyone interested. I use this configuration for both healing and dps/tanking, but you may want to make them smaller via "panels" on non-healer characters.
Here is a video of it in action (my guild Exodus on HM Sind)
The circle on the top left corner is my Power Word:Shield, and as its total absorb is used up, the outer ring diminishes. As it expires, a timer appears in the center of the circle. The green line that diminishes across the bottom of the square is Renew ticking down to zero. The star that sometimes appears indicates that someone in need of healing is near several other players (to indicate a targeted aoe heal like Circle of Healing could be effective). And when you see the ending, I simply right-clicked our bear tank to get my last minute Guardian Spirit on him before I got ice tombed. These are the most common ways VuhDo functions.
To install:
1) Install VuhDo as normal.
(Vuhdo is updated frequently, but the current version as of 11/15/10 can be found here)
2) Unzip my download.
3) Navigate to your character's savedvariables folder, within your world of warcraft folder:
...World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/Accountname/Server/Charactername/SavedVariables
4) Paste the contents of the download's folder (Vuhdo.lua & Vuhdo.lua.bak) into this character's savedvariables folder
5) When you get into the game, type /vd opt to open up the vuhdo options
6) Click on tools, select Disc 10, and click apply.
7) Decide when you want vuhdo to show up like this (aka when you are solo, when you are in a 5 man, or 10, or what?) and select the appropriate check box on the right.
8) Click apply and okay.
This addon is really one of the best I've ever used. It has practically endless configuration without being completely complicated to use. Even though I've done a lot of the configuring work on it, you really need to customize it further to get the real benefits out of it (like click-casting your spells, or having your custom buffs & debuffs show on raid members) There are a lot of good guides and tutorials out there, and if you go to plusheal.com Iza himself answers a lot of questions in his Vuhdo support forums.
However, the main reason I'm uploading it is that a lot of people give up on the addon before they figure out how to configure it, and just settle for raid frames that aren't as useful. For fights like Lich King, I always ask people: Can you see infest? and Power Word: Shield? and Weakened Soul? because you weren't healing him even after I yelled in vent, and it should have been obvious anyway... and people just act stumped like they didn't know their raid frames were supposed to do that. It doesn't do you any good to see this things as tiny boxes among other tiny boxes that aren't as important. Why not have the information you need easy to see and right where you need it? That is the point of Vuhdo.
I did not write this wonderful addon.
Vuhdo is completely credited to Iza.
