In the 4.0 patch, Blizzard introduced their own (very nice) spell overlays. These happened after specific talents or abilities became usable and put a nice graphic on your screen and make their associated buttons glow.
For example, if a Mage got Fingers of Frost then their Deep Freeze and Ice Lance buttons would get this cute little golden glow around them.
This plugin for Power Auras Classic adds that functionality. You can assign "actions", which are essentially spells, macros or items to specific auras. When the aura in question is shown, the associated actions will glow on your action bars. And when the aura is hidden, the glows would disappear.
The AddOn was designed to assist in replicating what a lot of players have been asking for; customizable spell alerts. While Power Auras already filled most of this niche with the epic graphics, it didn't make buttons look all pretty. Now it does through this plugin.
Actions can be one of three things, and any aura can have as many actions as it so desires.

Not quite having the luck i had hoped for, is there any way you could implement an x/y offest and possibly scale options?? That would essentially allow you to use the highlight texture anywhere you wanted.

The textures are available ingame from the path "Interface/SpellActivationOverlay/IconAlert.blp" and "IconAlertAnts.blp" in the same folder. You could extract these from the MPQ files via the Blizzard Interface AddOn Kit, available from here. If you intend on using these as actual aura textures, that'd be somewhat difficult as these are essentially like sprite sheets, so you'd need to open them up in a graphics editor and extract each of the textures one by one as needed. As they're BLP files, you can use BLP2PNG to convert them to PNG files, cut each texture out, and then use Photoshop or GIMP to convert them to TGA (BLP2PNG supports converting back from PNG, but the alpha support seems slightly broken at the moment). |

Awesome addon! Wondering what the location of the texture for the button highlight is so i can use it in my auras and outside of simply over buttons. Thanks in advance!

Re: Fantastic!
There'll be an update either tonight or tomorrow which fixes a few issues with the settings. Basically right now, deleting auras, moving, copying, etc. isn't reflected in the settings of this addon. That's fixed in my latest one, just polishing it up and seeing if there's anything else I could add before I release it. |

If you meant can you include the Blizzard standard glows without making more auras in Power Auras whilst also having those Blizzard ones disabled...I honestly don't know. It determines whether or not to show a Blizzard button glow by checking the result of the function IsSpellOverlayed(), but I've not actually seen any source code for whether or not it works if the default overlays are off. I'm hoping you meant the first one
