About
lumUI is a UI Compilation created having in mind utility within an attractive look focused on information. The main element of the UI is my oUF layout, oUF_lumen. This UI is full featured yet keeping it simple and easy to install without needing to configure lots of addons.
Installation & Instructions
1. Backup your Fonts folder (if you have it), Interface and WTF folder.
2.Unzip the archive into the World of Warcraft _retail_ folder. Not the Addons folder, the World of Warcraft _retail_ Folder. This is because inside the archive you will find a Fonts folder and an Interface folder.
3. That's it, there is no WTF because it's not needed by any addon needing configuration (at least important ones).
4. Refer to the individual addons if you need help configuring them. Most of the addons in this pack are configured through Lua editing so they might not be fitted for some users.
5. This UI works out of the package. You might only need to move some elements of the frames around.
6. If you need to override any default options please do so on `config.lua`. Go to LumUI and oUF_Lumen default config files (`defaults.lua`) to see the available options and override your settings on the `config.lua` file (save this file between updates, both for LumUI and OUF_Lumen).
7.In config.lua (LumUI and oUF_Lumen) there is an example to use a more compact centered layout (https://i.imgur.com/b7PG5va.jpg), uncomment the comments files to achieve that layout. Since version 9 LumUI uses a more wide layout with the Action Bars following the layout used by Blizzard default action bars. If you uncomment those files, please disable, reload and re-enable LumUI so the layout resets.
Addons
Keeping addons to a minimum from now on. You can supplement the UI with other addons of your choice.
Notes
* There is a price to pay for a UI with a low need of config and simplicity... most of the stuff is edited in the lua files. Especially all addons that begin with lum (my own) are almost all edited through lua. Open the lua files in the beginning of the files there are lots of configs to tweak stuff.

Yes I'm hidding Blizzard Raid Frames and that UI component. And about the Buff Sorting, If I would do that I would taint the code, meaning you wouldn't be able to right click in combat and would get errors if you would try to (like it is now, but it's fixed for next release). Sorting among other things it's only possible by using the secure headers, and that I won't implement, too much of an hassle, I just want the buffs stylized, nothing more. If you want those kinds of features, try nivBuffs, it will allow you that. It supports buttonfacade now so you can even style it fairly easy.

Re: Re: Testing the Buff Addon
And yes, for now the buffs will be like this, tbh I Don't really see great necessity in clicking buffs in combat as most of the time I'm busy healing / DPSing, but will eventually try to implement secureheaders so they work in combat. For now my stupid keyboard is broken (well some keys are. -.-) and well... can't do much stuff because it irritates me. On my laptop can't play the game. EDIT - Hay... just fixed the Tainting so lumBuffs can now allow right click in combat. How stupid is that: BUFF_FLASH_TIME_ON = 0 -- Remove the stupid Flashing BUFF_FLASH_TIME_OFF = 0 -- Remove the stupid Flashing Causes taiting? Really? Disabling the irritating flashing of the buffs? Oh well, will have to live with the flashing. Next build of lumUI will fix this.

Re: Testing the Buff Addon
By the way, I've looked over the .lua-files to see if my untrained eye could spot where (if possible) I can edit so the raid displays 40 players and not only 25. Being a PvP healer I need to see the entire 40-man raid. Is there such an option somewhere?

Re: Testing the Buff Addon
By the way. About the lumnolove addon. Is it possible to check if i have a buff or another? Let me try to explain. I have a paladin and on retribution i sometimes use Seal of Righteousness others seal of truth. So soemthing like either this spell or that and its fine. Other thing. Wouldnt this conflicts with non stackables buffs? like blessing of kings replaces mark of the wild. Wouldnt the other player get the message? Gona try it soon and report back later

Testing the Buff Addon
Can I please get feedback on the Buff addon? Can you right click it in combat? I didn't use any way of sorting so I would expect it not to taint, so being able to right click in combat, but I've received a report that it's not possible.
If so and if that is very important to you, please use nivBuffs instead, the addon I had previously.

About the quest tracker issue, I probably didn't explain it properly. It has nothing to do with show completed quests or not. If you have a quest with more then one objective, lets say kill 10 wolf and kill 10 pigs. When you have killed 10 wolfs the quest is removed from the quest tracker even if you still need to kill 10 pigs. But like I said, it happened once and I haven't been able to reproduce the issue since because I've only played my level 80 main who doesn't have any quests at the moment. If I get the time I'll log on to my alt. I tried again but the quest tracker resets to its original position whenever I log out and in again. But not really a deal breaker either since I only moved it slightly. Grats on breaking 1k downloads, here's hoping for another 1000.

Thanks, ozzyuz.
Minimap has class coloring too. The panels with borders are done via my lumDrops addon. Open lumDrops.lua and at the bottom you will see 2 lines, 2 calls to the same function. There is a comment saying 1 pannel is for the bottom and another for the minimap. On the minimap one change the first argument from false to true. Voilá, class colored border. And that, the aspect thing is my lumNoLove addon. It warns about certain buffs missing when out of Town or/and in Combat. Aspect of the Hawk was one of the ones I've put on the config list. And the oUF Portrait, I might try to add 2D portraits in the future, eventually when I ran out of stuff I want to add to oUF_lumen. :P
1. If you go to oUF_lumen (my Unit Frames) you'll see I've added support for oUF_BarFader which accomplishes what you want. 2. I won't implement such feature. If you want an addon with that grab Bagnon or if you want to keep my Bags addon get BagSync for example. My Bags are a layout for cargBags, most of the functionalities are based on it, if the author don't implement something like that I won't, it would put to much bloat on them. :P 3. You can already. That's in the rAButtonStyler addon. config.lua, line 47-48: Code:
cfg.hotkeys = { show = false, YAY. 1000 Downloads.

just saw this when i m tryin to find new ideas for my UI ( actually lookin for a minimap thing on tukuı but anyway ^^ ) and its awsome as always really good job wish u keep the minimalistic look and never ever change it imo beauty comes from the little touches and details (like the classcolored frame under the actionbar ) and ur good at it maybe u can add classcolor around the minimap ( dunno if possible or not ) for more artistic look. Anyway;
wish u the best luck ps: on the screenshots ( ex: the hunter one ) over your head it writes the aspect name ( first i tought it was stance bar ), what is that ? i couldnt get it nor the usage of it tbh and im so curious heheh *wish someday ouf will add non-animated portrait options atm i disabled portraits but it rlly looks bad that way. |

I know you made this UI to suit your needs but I'm still going to pester you with some suggestions. But first, the bug I mentioned earlier.
-After moving and/or resizing the Quest Tracker, logging out and in again, the settings isn't saved. And also, unconfirmed though, it seems that if you have more then one quest objective, complete one of those, the entire quests is removed from the Quest Tracker. My main is level 80 and I don't do many quests so I haven't been able to reproduce the "issue". - I have two chat frames and when you mouse over the one I created (not the General) sometimes it doesn't complete fade out again, either the tab or the scroll buttons. Now on to my humble suggestions: - Is it possible to let the Player Unit Frame fade out when you have full mana, power, not in combat or don't have any target? - I would like to be able to view my bank bags without actually being at the bag. Is that something you might implement later, just the possibility to key-bind such a feature? - I would like to see the key setting I have on my bars. I'm getting older and slower, I need the reminder sometimes. Is that something that is possible to implement? Implementing these ideas or not, I've found a UI I'm very happy with and will stick with. Thanks again for the work you have put in to it and letting us use it.

Downloaded. Installed. Enjoying. /clap /cheer
I've only played for 10 minutes and noticed what I believe is a small bug (but that could have been my brain not functioning at its normal standard) so I'll look in to it more properly when I have the opportunity to log in again in a couple of hours. (Stupid real life!) I also have a few small humble suggestions but those can also wait until I've played some more, not to mention checked the options to see if I missed something - which I probably have. I've said it before, this is by far the best UI I've seen, nice, clean and low on memory usage, and its the first UI I've downloaded and replaced my own with. Thanks for not keeping me/us waiting for the update. /Jaglavak |
