bubuUI

1920x1200 and 1920x1080

I use a 24" monitor with a 1920x1200 resolution. For now, I have decided to also support a 1920x1080 resolution. Whether I'm going to continue supporting both depends on how time consuming it will be.

I got rid of all addons that are not visible in the UI, like my trade skill addons or Auctioneer, to simplify the installation and setup of the package.

Credits go to CaithUI on which layout my UI is based on and which got me started fiddling around two years ago, to all other addon authors and Dukee, whom I bombarded with screenshots.
Not to forget, big, big thanks to Mani!

Many thanks to Beliablue for providing a 1680x1050 Resolution pack. Please click here if you want to use her resolution. Brilliant work, Belia!

Note:

The icons you see on the party image are cooldowns I set up with Power Auras and are class specific icons I use on my Shadow Priest. That's why I have not included Power Auras in my UI pack. It's useless for any other class.

Installation Guide

1. Make a backup of your Interface, texture and WTF folders, as for your macros.
2. Download and unzip the UI package into a new folder.
3. Open the WTF of your UI package and change the folders ACCOUNTNAME (has to be in caps), your servername, your charactername
4. Select the WTF folder for your resolution and copy and overwrite the texture, fonts, WTF and Interface folders into your WoW copy. Re-name it to WTF, once you are done

************************************************************************

5. After starting WoW, make sure every addon is enabled
6. Set your resolution in Blizzard's video settings
7. For UIscaling type or paste in chat the following:
/console useUiScale 1
/console uiscale 0.75999999046326

************************************************************************

8. Type into your chat /reflux switch bubuUI OR type /reflux switch bubu1080UI if you are using the 1920x1080 resolution.

You'll want the 1920x1080 WTF folder. 1920x1080 and 1600x900 are both 16:9 aspect ratios, so it should scale out pretty well. You might need to tweak font sizes for readability or minor positions, but the layout should hold.

Thank you for your kind words.

And thank you for your addon suggestions, Lorgra AtlasLoot is an addon that is highly popular and I'm using it as well. However, it's also an optional addon in my opinion and I'd like to keep the size of the whole pack as small as possible. Decursive again is an optional addon. Most people I know and raid with, for example, are using mouseover macros for dispells, like I do.

I'll have a look into oGlow and XLoot.

Post patch problems

Heya there,

thanks for all the info However, I won't be updating my UI pack until I've found a fix for Quartz.

1. SLDT seems to be fixed with its latest update. I'm not having any problems with the clock either after updating it.

2. Quartz is doing my head in. The settings are fine and nothing has changed but I'm still getting errors. It seems quite a few having problems though and it's been reported http://www.wowace.com/addons/quartz/tickets/

3. I'm testing Fambags at the moment. As soon as I'm happy with the settings, I'll include it to my UI pack and the general layout will look like this:

Quartz doesnt have the same graphic built in to the UI as it did pre patch

also can i suggest using a bag addon in your next update like Bagnon ( when its updated)

yeah as someone said before me SLDT appears to be having errors with the clock module.

Had to disable BugGrabber as the constant ''fatility'' was annoying :P

I had a couple of minutes to log in a bit ago and noticed a couple of addon-related problems, but alot of things cleared up with updating the addons in question. SLDT is throwing errors from it's clock module (Taffu's got a fix in the addon comments).

Edit: Looks like quartz might be throwing an error or two as well, but not anything that seems to be having an effect. The SLDT one is probably the only one of note after updating addons that I'm seeing.

Just one small question:

When im in a HC/raid and we encounter a boss, i get a wow-style boss unitframe in the upper right of the screen and its just the outlining (red) what is this and how do i fix it?
Hello,

thanks for your kind words.
It's a bug with SexyMap. You can use MoveAnything to disable the boss frames.

I install everything correctly and when I open the game I set the UI scaling to the ones listed on the instructions but everything is still oversized or out of line, Any Ideas?

Also Mine looks nothing like the screen shots, Minimap is in the center I have to use MoveAnything?
If you could post a screenshot, that would be great.

thanks in advance.
You could try Move Anything. However, I am using CustomPlayerPowerBarAlt as it shows the percentage and is more accurate than the default Blizzard bars. It overwrites them once installed.
