Holiday Helper

OVERVIEW

Completing "What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been" requires completing over 70 achievements spread across 8 world events. This addon helps where it can with completing some of these achievements. This includes:

• Alerting you when holiday-related debuffs clear
• Displaying holiday criteria locations on your map, such as candy buckets (TomTom required)
• Help mark and look for race/class combos needed for some achievements, such as Rogues for Turkey Lurkey
• Helper slash commands and macros
• More to come in future updates

Currently, this new version is implemented for:

Hallow's End - track candy bucket locations, tricky treats needed, and wands
Pilgrim's Bounty - target rogues
Winter Veil - target class/race combos, alert about debuff
Lunar Festival - track Elder locations
Love is in the Air (partially) - target class/race combos
Noblegarden - target 18+ female characters, track chocolates needed
Midsummer Fire Festival - track flame locations and fire blossoms needed
Brewfest - track brewfest tokens needed

The plan is to get updates out for Lunar Festival and Love is in the Air before the end of March. Many thanks to help137 for doing fan updates for Winter Veil and Love is in the Air while I was absent!

HALLOW'S END

/holidayhelper wands - Prints out what wands you own, and which ones you still need to be transformed by for "The Masquerade". Useful for copy-pasting into trade or guild chat.

/holidayhelper tokens - Prints out how many Tricky Treats you still need to collect to complete all the achievements required for "Hallowed Be Thy Name"

Unvisited candy bucket locations displayed on map (TomTom required). Use /cway to get a Crazy Taxi arrow to the closest waypoint, you may need to configure your TomTom settings to show arrows for waypoints outside of current zone.

Currently, this only tracks candy buckets needed for the "Tricks and Treats of Azeroth" meta-achievement. It does not currently track candy buckets in Northrend, Cataclysm 80+ zones, or the new EK/Kalimdor buckets added for Alliance that weren't added as criteria for the achievements. I do plan to have this all in for Hallow's End 2012.

PILGRIM'S BOUNTY

Checks all units you target and mouseover, and if they're a Rogue/race combo you need for "Turkey Lurkey" it marks them with a raid icon and alerts you. Super useful when in a major city, you can just wave your mouse around the screen and tag all the players you need to shoot. Also listens to the combat log and reports if it finds any Rogue/race combo you need. It will only do these things if you have the necessary Turkey Shooter in your inventory.

WINTER VEIL

Announces when "Mistletoe" debuff clears, and you can /kiss another Winter Reveler for snowflakes.

Checks all units you target and mouseover, and if they're a class/race combo you need for "Let It Snow" it marks them with a raid icon and alerts you. Super useful when in a major city, you can just wave your mouse around the screen and tag all the players you need to throw snowflakes on. Also listens to the combat log and reports if it finds any class/race combo you need. It will only do these things if you have the necessary Handful of Snowflakes in your inventory.

LUNAR FESTIVAL

Unvisited Elders' locations displayed on map (TomTom required). Use /cway to get a Crazy Taxi arrow to the closest waypoint, you may need to configure your TomTom settings to show arrows for waypoints outside of current zone.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Checks all units you target and mouseover, and if they're a class/race combo you need for "Fistful of Love" it marks them with a raid icon and alerts you. Super useful when in a major city, you can just wave your mouse around the screen and tag all the players you need to throw rose petals on. Also listens to the combat log and reports if it finds any class/race combo you need. It will only do these things if you have the necessary Handful of Rose Petals in your inventory.

NOBLEGARDEN

/holidayhelper tokens - Prints out how many Noblegarden Chocolates you still need to collect to complete all the achievements required for "Noble Gardener"

Checks all units you target and mouseover, and if they're a Female Level 18+ toon you need for "Shake Your Bunny-Maker" it marks them with a raid icon and alerts you. Super useful when in a major city, you can just wave your mouse around the screen and tag all the players you need to place rabbit ears on. It will only do these things if you have the necessary Spring Flowers in your inventory.

MIDSUMMER FIRE FESTIVAL

/holidayhelper tokens - Prints out how many Burning Blossoms you still need to collect to complete all the achievements required for "The Flame Keeper"

Unvisited flame locations (for honoring, desecrating, and stealing) displayed on map (TomTom required). Use /cway to get a Crazy Taxi arrow to the closest waypoint, you may need to configure your TomTom settings to show arrows for waypoints outside of current zone.

BREWFEST

/holidayhelper tokens - Prints out how many Brewfest Prize Tokens you still need to collect to complete all the achievements required for "Brewmaster"

TARGETING MACRO

help137 implemented a cool macro for helping with targetting characters. To create this macro, type /holidayhelper macro. For the various holidays where Holiday Helper is scanning the combat log for race/class combos, Holiday Helper will automatically update the macro to /target the latest toon found.
