Flourish  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.0
by: spAnser [More]

Flourish displays finished (not yet turned in) quests as part of the current experience gained.

You've been questing all day to hit that next level you go to town and bam you turned in everything and still didn't level. Well now you can tell right from you experience bar if you will level from your current quests or not, maybe grind a few mobs before hearthing to town or finish that other small quest in the area.

In the screenshot the top one shows a yellow bar indicating how far completed quests will get you in your current level. The bottom green bar means you will hit the next level when turning in all or some of your completed quests.

The quest xp is not included in the mouse over text of current experience.

Suggest and Ideas are accepted as long as they pertain to the mod
ex.
-I am not making a quest log window
-I am not keeping a history of quests
-I am not auto accepting/turning in quests

Somtimes the Bar provided by this addon displays above the standard blizzard xp bar instead of behind it. It is a limitation of how I display it. It cannot be fixed unless I recode the action bar xml file. Reloading your UI can fix it sometimes.

Re: An issue with Flourish and XPBarNone

I use aUI at the moment, and it came with XPBarNone, so I figured that I might be able to use Flourish with it. I don't get to see the QXP values on the XP bar because of this error.

I hope that you might be able to look into the problem, because I've taken a peek at the Lua for Flourish and XPBarNone and something just doesn't seem to add up to me, that's all.
After looking into it I realized that nothing is wrong with the code the problem is I didn't include the shared media I only allowed for XPBarNones Standard Bar Textures

In v1.3 I included LibSharedMedia-3.0 and now it should work just fine the problem was it didn't know what texture to use so it didn't use any making it invisible.

Exclamation An issue with Flourish and XPBarNone

Somehow, I get the feeling like there's either a semantic error or a syntax error with this, but in the end I'm still scratching my head, because I don't know if you really coded this right or not.

I use aUI at the moment, and it came with XPBarNone, so I figured that I might be able to use Flourish with it. I don't get to see the QXP values on the XP bar because of this error.

Well now that it's pretty much complete.

How useful is it actually?
How well does it work for you?
What do you think could be improved upon?

Alright, so heres my idea. Im not sure if this is possible for you or if its anything you would want to do, but here goes.

Ive started making dailies on my 80 shaman these past days, so i was wondering if it would be possible to do the same Quest XP meter thing, but just for reputation XP. It would really be awesome if that would be possible.

Thanks.

Not a big deal just more of an look issue is all. Still going to use it anyway since I love how it tells me if I'm gonna level or not. Keep up the great work!!

small bug found while playing

Go talk to this guy or go seek out this guy quests aren't marked for completion even in blizzards quest window because they simply don't have objectives to do but can be turned in just like completed quests. I am fixing this by checking if a quest has no objectives and if so to mark it as complete so that it counts towards your current quest xp. Is fixed in v1.2(unreleased)

I've gotten a couple screenys i'll upload them tomorrow since photobucket doesn't wanna work

alot of the mod relies on QUEST_LOG_UPDATES and in the begining I was having trouble with the speed of updating flourish faster than it was noticing the quest box unchecked

As for the exp bars no updating properly xparky starts off strange on logging in and reloading the ui because it takes some time to position itself which is after flourish adds the orange bar so sometimes its very long

myswifty i myself use quarts and never seen this happen does it happen all the time?
Yeah I'll try to get a screeny of it happening.
