    What is it

    nibChatTabs modifies the appearance of the default chat window tabs to a more appealing, text based design. It also allows you to modify the opacity of the Chat Tabs or hide them completely.

    You won't lose any functionality of the original Chat Tabs.



    Features
    • Hide all or individual parts of the Chat Tabs
    • Adjust the opacity of the Chat Tabs
      • Mouse Over opacity
      • No Mouse opacity
      • Set the opacity of the different Chat Tab states individually (Normal, Selected, Flash)
    • Adjust the speed and delay of the Chat Window and Chat Tabs fading
    • Adjust the Chat Tab text
      • Font and Font Size
      • Change the text style for each Chat Tab state (Normal, Selected, Highlight, Flash)
        • Text color (can also use Class Colors)
        • Font Style (Shadow, Outline)
    • Set the Chat Window's background opacity

      • No Mouse Alpha
      • Mouseover Alpha

      • Each chat tab state (Normal, Highlight, Selected and Flash) is fully configurable
        • Text color (with the option of using Class color)
        • Font Shadow
          • Set the color of the font shadow
          • Set it's X & Y offsets
        • Outline style

    Alright, uploaded 0.3.3 which should fix the majority of any problems. There may still be some hidden bugs since the new Chat, BNet and Real ID features are pretty complicated. Also snuck in a new Chat Tab Opacity feature to match 3.3.5's new Chat Tab fading system.

    Can this mod be used to make the chat tabs invisible and unclickable?
    This used to be possible with the Blizzard "lock chat settings" option, which was removed. I have my chat box on the lower right of my screen, and the tabs are always in the way.

    Is there anyway to remove the Additional Filters tab on the combat log completely? Anytime you mouse over the combat log, the filters tab pops up, even if you remove all the filters. Pretty annoying tab imo.
    Just uploaded a new addon (nibHideBlackBar) that will do this for you

    The version number actually doesn't have anything to do with the current WoW version, they're just similar right now as that's where nibChatTabs is at

    Will upload version 0.3.2 with this bug fixed.

    i am wondering this too, since it looks like this feature was taken out of Prat recently.

    Omg Nib you are making addons which are realy needed =)
    Can you make this addon similar to SL Data text.
    For example enlarge X Y position moveablity.
    Add tabs rename like in nibMicroMenu - To rename tabs for example from General to G or Gen...
    And this wll be awesome dude!!!

    Also got question:
    As i remember in previous versions of your UI, you had some thing like this -

    There was a *Pros* when you clik it, it changes to *minus* and opens a combat log window.

    Will you make some thing like this ?

    Hmm, after examining the possibilities and methods of pulling it off, I think those ideas are a little out of nibChatTabs scope at this point. The addon is really just made to skin them. Though you can currently rename tabs by right-clicking them

    This addon is fresh and it can have much more features to make our eyes be happy =)
    For example If you will combine few addons together with nCT you ll make something really cool looking.
    I just can advice you some ideas to make it better and hope to see them in your addon =)

    ideas -
    1) Enlarge X Y move ability .
    2) Make settings for each chat tab player have.
    3) Moving buttons like scroll down and menu ( probably re skin them or text variant )
    4) Change Background lighting color when pressing or mouse over tab .

    I hope to see something of this ideas in your addon =)
