TinyDPS  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.1.5.1
by: Talyrius, Sideshow

TinyDPS is a lightweight damage and healing meter.

Looking for an addon to measure damage and healing without adversely affecting your gameplay experience? TinyDPS should suit your needs. By excluding unnecessary features (graphs, pie charts, extensive data collection, etc.) and offering a minimalistic interface, TinyDPS attempts to maintain a balance between information and performance.

Usage

  • Options are available by right-clicking on the frame or minimap button.
  • To move the frame or button, while holding the Shift key, click and drag to the desired location.
  • For resizing of the frame, click and drag the bottom-right corner.
  • Toggling frame visibility can be accomplished by clicking on the minimap button or typing /tdps.
  • In addition to the option in the right-click menu (under Fight), all data can be reset by middle-clicking the frame or minimap button. Similarly, the back and forward mouse buttons will allow for quickly switching between displaying overall or just the current fight's damage/healing.
  • Available slash commands (/tdps <command>):
help or ?, reset or r, damage or d, healing or h, visiblebars <number>, whisper <name>, reportlength <number>
Known Issues and Limitations
Intended Behavior
  • Pet data is attributed to the owner.
  • Vehicle/mounted combat data is ignored.
  • Overhealing is ignored.
  • Absorbs are added to healing.
  • Unlike damage, healing won't start a new fight.

LibBossIDs-1.0 provides a table that flags mobIDs true if the mob linked to the ID is a boss. Example: if LibStub("LibBossIDs-1.0).BossIDs[mobID] then print("Found a boss!") end

One can get the mobID from a GUID the following way: mobid = tonumber(GUID:sub(9, 12), 16)

If you realy want to alter the class colors, you could do it manually: edit TinyDPS.lua, edit "classColorDefault", delete all saved variables and then start wow
No problem, will do. Was just asking. For example, the "ClassColors" default for Warlock is a darker purple, which is nicer imho.

is it possible to add a way to whisper anyone with the report instead of the target?
with a simple popup dialog to enter the players name maybe, thats the only feature tinydps misses imo

Bosses have unit level -1

But alas, you cannot check the level nor classification of a mob
This means that
/run print(UnitLevel('Heroic Training Dummy'))
will show a zero (0)

You can check the 'target' though ... but that's not a good implementation imo

Some people apparently hate the colors assigned to their class by Blizzard and they like to make pretend that their color palette choices are better somehow.

This is such a great mod Nice to see so many different damage meters. I like the simplistic use of this mod. Gave it try in a few instances. Loved it!
