This is a major update to Tidy Plates, and many things have changed.

Having Trouble?

* Quick Fix - Quick Setup:
1. Use '/tp' to reselect your Theme
2. Use '/hub' to check your settings...
...Some settings have been pruned!

Here are some of the bigger changes:

* Hub Revamp / Phase 1
1. Removed theme copies; ie. "Damage" and "Tank"
2. Theme copies have become 'Profiles'
3. Access profiles via: '/tp'
4. You can still use '/hub' to jump to the
appropriate panel
5. Again, some settings have been pruned!

* NEON is the only theme that has been updated in Beta1
* QUATRE will be available in Beta2
* GREY will be available in Beta3

* Numerous Bug Fixes & Improvements
* Numerous Bug "Additions", possibly

Nameplate-pocalypse!!!!!!!

99% of the previous nameplate system has been replaced by Blizzard for Legion.

Rebuilding has been slow, since I'm (apparently) a grown-up, now. ;-)

BUT, progress is indeed being made!

The internal widgets are disabled, which means the Aura timers are not working. I'm rewriting the entire bloody system because we now have a good way to capture that data without all the trickery that was previously required. (Blizzard does love us!)

Again, progress is being made!

Many things are broken, so I expect that many of you might want to check back with Tidy Plates in a week or so.

* Core/Panel: When the selected theme is invalid, it'll fall-back to the first available theme.
* Core/Panel: Added a Slash Command alias, "/tp" in addition to "/tidyplates"

Bundled Themes:
* Themes: Neon & Quatre now have CastProtected art. About time!
* Neon: New Elite Icon, which looks more like I'd originally intended. (Replaces the old Star)
* Removed "Blizzard Theme"... Sorry guys... There are core things that I want to get done, and fixing/maintaining
that component is not a priority. It will probably return, but don't hold your breath.

Widgets:
* Widgets/UnitCache: Replaced " (*)" with FOREIGN_SERVER_LABEL, which will fix unit-caching on certain server types.
* Widgets/UnitCache: Now using a Scanning Tooltip, which should prevent conflicts with TipTac and other Tooltip mods
* Widgets/Aura: Combat Log Event Handler now skips units which are group members, relying on the general
Unit event handler for their updates.

Hub/General:
* Hub: Colorized 'Friendly' and 'Enemy' description titles, to improve readability.
* Separated Hub functions.lua into discrete category files
* Tweaked some names/descriptions
* Removed Threat Wheel widget from Hub
* Hub: Added a button to the Advanced category; "Clear Cache", which purges the stored Class/Description/Guild data
* Hub/Advanced: "Health Bar Width" (%) Allows you to tweak the relative width of the theme's Health Bar (Experimental)

HEY! Did you notice that I put in some code for 4.1? Does it work? lol... I haven't had time to get on the PTR.

4.1 adds a new arg, hideCaster (boolean), and of course, with blizz tradition, not at the end, but right smack in the middle offseting rest of args and breaking mods not updated to account for it.

For now, i just lazy patched my 4.1 version with no if/else rules, i just added the hideCaster event to the locals for any function using combat log and all tidy plates errors are fixed Not a solution to stay compatible with 4.0.6 though. But for testing purposes, it worked and no further errors.

why on earth blizz would add a new arg to CLEU in middle instead of end is beyond me, at end wouldn't break everything. sigh.

ah i see that now, i haven't really been in beta to test that though. looks like it would work skimming over code though.

actually no it won't work

PTR reports a toc of 40000 still. do a build number check

this is what i use in DBM

if tonumber((select(2, GetBuildInfo()))) >= 13682 then

13682+ being first 4.1 beta, i mean i guess you could technicall update that number to what current build is but it doesn't really make a difference, anything 13682 and newer is 4.1.

the slider controls in the options cannot represent each number in the range?

i can set tank current target opacity to 50% but damage jumps from 49 to 51 and that kinda of thing all over the bar... i think if you make the sliders wider it would fix it? or add an edit box? idk

Hi, i downloaded the last version and don't display the icon class, and hp % of target, BUT in my other char, all work fine.

PS: I press reset button, but don't work in my main ;_;

Hey there, just curious if you're free sometime soon and we can pair up on vent for some PTR fixing if needed.

I currently have the ptr downloaded and have been testing some of the changes you've posted.

The CVar for "spreadnameplates" is now "nameplateMotion" with 3 states:

UNIT_NAMEPLATES_TYPE_TOOLTIP_1 = "This method will allow nameplates to overlap.";
UNIT_NAMEPLATES_TYPE_TOOLTIP_2 = "This method avoids overlaping nameplates by stacking them vertically.";
UNIT_NAMEPLATES_TYPE_TOOLTIP_3 = "This method avoids overlaping nameplates by spreading them out horizontally and vertically.";

SetCVar("nameplateMotion", 2) for example would be the new overlapping method of vertical stacking (which is completley awful if I do say so myself).

the color raid and party members function is cool... its nice to see party colors in a dungeon run or even in a raid i guess... but it NOT helpfull in PVP.

to fix this i make it only work in party and not in raid... i lose class colors in raids but at least i also lose them in pvp...

6.1.7 should fix it. At least, it was fixed when I went on the PTR the other night.

I'd love to jump on vent for some dev work, and just general shootin-the-breeze. 6.1.7 SHOULD work. I made some changes to support either 4.0.6 or 4.1 concurrently. The nameplates are layered differently in 4.1, so that's the reason for the earlier breakage.

I was very happy that finally I could (first time ever) try out this addon. I currently play on PTR so I was waiting for 4.1 fix...

And I got so sad, because ... look at it:

Tried to change themes, turned off the additional installation of the separate threat plates, tried to remove the debuffs from the nameplates... nothing helped so far. No error messages either.

What could cause this issue? I got no other nameplate addon, and I'm really running on a few addons only, since (almost) nothing works on ptr yet.

So... sigh... very sad that its not working yet, hope something can be done.

Looks like an anchoring issue. As you know , the PTR is a bit of a moving target, addon-wise. I'll see what I can do. At least we know that it's not throwing LUA errors.

Also a side question: Any chance to move the text around the frame? I'm kind of feel that the name on the nameplates could nicely fit on the health bar portion of the frame, so I could shrink the size of the nameplate even more. Is there an option I missed while mucking around or its kind of hard coded thing in the "themes"?

Got onto the PTR for a few moments this morning....

It's working fine for me. Let's take a look at your addon list. If you prefer, you can send it via PM, or email '[email protected]'

Text: It's more "soft-coded"... you can change it pretty easily via editing the LUA. The table that stores theme info is a global variable, so it's also possible to alter the data from another addon...
