Have you ever been in a situation where you just can't turn in a quest because your inventory is full? Trying to figure out an item to delete that's cheap and won't make you loose much gold?
This is one of the many situations where Broker_Garbage makes your life easier.
What is it?
Broker_Garbage shows your cheapest item(s) for easily freeing bag space. It uses your auction addon of choice for pricing, including disenchant prices if available. And if you don't want to throw away that [Broken I.W.I.N. Button], put it on your Exclude List and Broker_Garbage will keep it. Forever. Really! And those [Shiny Fish Scales]? Just put them on your Include List.
This addon works as-is but you will only see the text and tooltip if you use an LDB display addon. Some are Bagnon, DockingStation, Bazooka.
Basic Features - all features can be disabled if you don't want to use them

The two errors occured 100% of the time at the exact same time--in WoW 3.3.5--when opening the Blizzard option panel by any method other than the Broker_Garbage LDB display. I forget if they both happened as well opening via the LDB display. Haven't been able to get on a 4.0.1 live server yet. Will let you know. The errors sure were not hidden here, got a "2" showing up in BugSack's LDB display and they were visible in the tooltip. I copied both of them in the post below out of the !BugGrabber saved variables file ("!BugGrabber.lua", minus the date/time of the errors). If the errors are still present in 4.0.1 live, it puts a major dent in the usability of this mod. Errors being thrown up every time you open the option panel makes baby kittens cry. Good luck on exams!

@Zidomo: Welcome back *gg*
Anyhow, I noticed the first error myself ... That's one of the issues that still need to be fixed. What I don't know (yet): Does it also happen when opening the options via the LDB? The second one is unknown to me. Some further investigation needed in both cases. But it's got to wait a couple of days, as I'm currently writing exams (again). As 4.0 probably hits today on US servers, I won't manage having it done by then Just a little patience. P.S. BugSack or tekErr hide the error, at least :/

EDIT: further testing after posting the below, yes, the bugs definitely do occur when simply opening the Blizzard options panel. Not via Broker_Garbage's LDB, but via another method (through ESC, Interface or via another mod's LDB display).
Also reverted back to 4.0v2 instead of the later alpha build, same issue. Hopefully you can fix the bugs by the time 4.0 hits, likely by this Tuesday (tomorrow); the error spam when opening the options panel is problematic. ------------- 2 errors/bugs experienced here on two different occasions with the latest build dacd5aecff4a1fab4557 (released after 4.0 v2 available here) on WoW 3.3.5 live: Code:

In reference to InterfaceOptionsFrame in the errors, though, am using the BlizzBugsSuck mod. Which fixes "InterfaceOptionsFrame_OpenToCategory not actually opening the Category (and not even scrolling to it)". A problem which still exists in Cataclysm.

I'm still onto some minor fixes, e.g. on Cata Beta the Loot Manager window doesn't close properly. But I guess that's better than it never actually showing :P So, there's still work to be done and I'd better do it quick as my WoW account expires soon and the beta won't last forever *gg*

I have a feature request. I currently use an addon called AutoLootToggle, which simply allows me to toggle off Blizzard's AutoLoot when I join a raid/party. It's a bit outdated and I have no idea if it works with Cata (about to try it on PTR), but if you felt like implementing this feature into Broker_Garbage I may just <3 you forever.
Thanks for the cool addon! |

Thank's for that piece of info, stormkeep!
To all of you: This version is now identical to the one posted in the Cataclysm category. Let's hope Blizz releases 4.0/Cata sometime soon so I won't have to keep 3 pages up to date (WoWI, WoWI Cataclysm version and Curse.com)

Loaded 4.0v1 and it is causing auto loot full time. Auto loot disabled in addon and in blizzard settings still caused auto looting. In fact the loot frame never actually came up.
I disabled the addon and loot frame showed up and worked properly. Is this a known issue?

Playing in the Cataclysm Beta? Or on the PTR? Grab Broker_Garbage (Cataclysm) I still need lots of feedback on that.
Please notice: You can also use the Cataclysm version of Broker_Garbage on live realms! I didn't do a lot of testing there, but it should work just fine. That version has some bug fixes, some Cataclysm compatibility changes, some clean up, the rest of the options UI updated and more! A propr changelog will follow at a later time, for now I'd appreciate your feedback very much.

The trouble is, if Broker_Garbage's LootManager tried to loot an item it can't get (locked, to be rolled for, whatever the reason) it would have to throw an item away "just in case" - a loss. But at the same time, it would have to first throw an item away to then loot a new item - potentially destroying an [Average Item] to grab that [Worthless Item], another loss. If I did the destroying after looting a new item, I'd have another problem: If a mob dropped [Awesome Item] and [Worthless Item] (worth even less than your cheapest item), if you had just enough room it'd grab [Awesome Item] just to notice "Hrm, full again. I need to throw something away" - let's call that [Average Item] - to grab [Worthless Item] and throw it away at a later time, creating a (although temporary) loss. You basically dropped [Average Item] to get [Worthless Item] ... I'll think about some kind of solution As I get it you mostly want a "clear all mobs" options (similar to how BG handles skinnable mobs). Just as I said, I'll think about it some more

Checking this out for the first time today, so apologies if I missed something.
Autodestroy checked, instantly checked, minimum free slots set to 1. What appears to happen is, if the item on the corpse is cheaper than anything I have in my bags, it'll just leave it on the corpse to keep that one slot free. Maybe I'm just tired, but the way I read it was it would loot the item like normal, then delete the cheapest item I have to free a slot back up. Is there anyway to get things to work that way? Not a huge fan of stuff staying on corpses.. especially when you're trying to get to the bottom of the pile. Also, I don't know if this is an issue with this or Butsu, but having the autoloot on causes the loot window to not close. Works fine with the default loot window. |

If you encounter something like this again, make use of the category test menu, that's what it is there for
