The package will no longer be updated.
The textures used for this UI are aviable in xpDeluxe package
One day, when I rolled a druid healer and entered my first raid with her, I have discovered, that Blizzard UI is not helping much my performance. Ever sinse I worked on trying to move things out of my way and, finally, ended with a panel UI.
I tried a couple graphical designs, tried to draw my own graphics but sense of simplicity took over and this is the result.
I hope someone find this usefull for themselves and it will save your time building your own UI from a scrach.
Purposes
I like to say shortly about what I tried to achive in my interface.
I am more or less a clicker. I like all my spells and abilities to be visible or, at least, at ease access. Also, as a raider I wish every single bit of needed information to be clear and noticable while having a clear viewport and minimum of not related graphics. What I have achieved with this UI satisfies me fully in all my demands.
Core2. Graphics for Sunn Art
These addons are basic of the UI. You must have for the UI to look as intendedOptional
- Bartender 4- moveable action bars that replace standard blizzard action bars.
- Button Facade - skining for action bars and buffs icons .
- ButtonFacade: Apathy - a skin for action bars that gives the icons that pretty glow and compact shape =)
- Chinchilla Minimap - moveable minimap with some additional features. Allows to move world state frame, quest traker frame, repair frame and others. Allows include or exclude default minimap icons and more.
- kgPanels (3.3.2)- additional panels. In the X-Perl skin UI used for backgrounds for buffs and player frames
- LunarSphere - Additional 10 action bars with additional features such as autosell junk.
- Minimap Button Frame - Moves all your minimap buttons into one compact box.
- Titan Panel with additional plugins - a panel on top and buttom of your screen that is customizable to show information you most need
- Satrina Buff Frames 3 - moves and customizes buff frames
- Reflux (3.3.2)- support addon that allows quick switch of multiply profiles
- Skada Damage Meter(3.3.2) - modular damage meter with various viewing modes.
- Sunn - Viewport Art - resizes viewport and places graphic into the freed space
- Tipsy - moves tooltips
- X-Perl UnitFrames - used for moving and customizing unit frames
Those addons I use myself in addition to the UI. If you dont like them, you are free to exclude them from your useage.
- Arkinventory - combines all your bags into one and allows sorting contents of your bags into categories. Also alows viewing inventory on other caracters on your account and even other realms.
- Atlas and Atlasloot Enhanced (3.3.2) - a huge database containing information about dungeons, dungeons loot, pvp rewards, professions and more
- DBM (3.3.2), also known as Deadly Boss Mods - Your friend on most deadly boss encounters, warining and informing you on most major events of combat. Raid addon.
- Easycopy - another chat addon that allows to copy everyting what appeares in your chatbox. Als places time to every posted line and allows mouse weel chat scroll.
- Icehud - highly customizeable HUD with quite a few skins.
- Mik Scrolling Battle Text - arranges your combat events into categories. Customize it on your taste - it can never be same for two different players.
- Power Auras Classic - Places a graphical or textural waring on your viewport on event you decide. Raid/pvp addon. Very customizable.
- QuestItemBar - shows all the quest items (except those you decide not to show) on additional bar.
- Spam me not - reports gold sellers automatically and cuts all their crap off from your chat.
- Tidy Plates - enhances the Blizzard nameplates, providing graphical and functional improvements.
- Vuhdo (3.3.2) - hightly cuztomizable raid unit frames. I prefer them to X-Perl for raiding. Concidered to be raid frames for healers.

Special credit to X-Perl developers, and Lunar autor who's work became foundament of this UI.
And, also to all addon's autors, whos creations are used in X-Perl UI
Special thanks to a big white arse bear, without whom I would have never begun even to worry about my interface layout.

In the last screenshot on the main page, i see in the upper right 31 buffs and in the upper left 29 buffs !
Why are there 2 zone for buffs ? What does left buff side and right buff side represent ? |

Re: X-Perl+KGPanel Art
All panels graphics are drawn by me, while they alike x-perl style. Together with map and minimap icon skins.

X-Perl+KGPanel Art
I found your UI to be very well laid out. Informative but not to the point of clutter. I usually surf around and look at all that I can find to come up with more ideas for my own. Yours has a few things I'd like to add.
My problem is this: I cannot seem to get the X-Perl skin to come up in KGPanels as just a simple square I can edit on my own. Pre organized layouts leave me with little flexibility. I'd like to be able to move certain elements like the minimap or recount squares should I choose to. It will still have a similar style as your UI, but the items will be moved or size changed etc. Simply put I can't seem to find where you managed to pull the background graphic for X-Perl from (black and grey gradient thing). I thought it used to be default in my KGPanels, however it's not there. And yes, I have spent my fair share on Google trying to figure this out on my own. >< Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! (P.S. sorry for the novel length of the question/explanation) Also: been using KGPanels for about a year and have 9 saved profiles with about 13 dif. layouts. So completely uninstalling KGPanels and wiping off all saved variables isn't my first choice if you can understand. ><

Lawura,
I just did the fresh install and everything seems to be working except IceHud. It works but instead of the bars filling correctly (or emptying ) they go off angle and act weird: See how the health bends out instead of smoothly flowing down. Also the top kg panel has a border on the left i can figure out...lol EDIT: NVM it needed about 7 updates...lol All is fine now =D

How can you adjust the kgpanels to fit on a screen 1024 X 728? I've tried adjusting it myself but I can't get it to work.

Hello, gothicknight
Thank you for your feedback. UI does not support 1440x900 resolution at the moment and I did not plan to add more resolutions than I have put up now. I do not have a widescreen on my own to run tests. each time I have updates for UI I have to borrow screen from my husband and that cost me already enough troubles =) I have shared UI with intention to show what and how things can be done. As myself I had a long journey finding UI that will give me good visability and functionality in my raids. I have had some feedbacks from users that have managed to fit the UI into a different resolution other than those I support. I am sure you can do as well, and the package will be a big help to you against opotunity startung all out from scratch. Start with installing UI for the supported widescreen and see what you will need to change. Not much shall be nessesary. If you cannot find out in addons on your own, I am almost always here to answer your questions. Regards, Lawura

I am sure this has been asked, and if so i am sorry, but are there any plans to support other resolutions. I run 1440x900 and when i load the UI (with the WS WTF and WS reflux /) it doesn't stretch out.
I have tried to do it myself, but it looks all distorted when i stretch it. Thanx . |

Re: Finally, my UI has landed!
For wide screen this is how I do to fit panels:
note: you probably will need some other addons to be moved. I hope you can figure out that. - take one pannel. Take Bottom2. Make sure it allignes to center. It does by default unless you changed anything. - choose a good Y size, so the bars will end to be a good size, yet it does not cover half of your screen. 12-17% shall be good size for WS (did you know you could set size in %?) - give this panel such x widtth so the sphere on texture look actually circular more or less. You may use lunar bar to do the comparation if your eye is not sharp for shapes. - align Bottom2 to x0 and y to bottom of your screen - set same X-width and Y-position to remaining BottomX panels as Bottom2 - move Bottom1 and Bottom3 to the sides of Bottom2. You will get the default Normal Screen pannel. Now your job is to fill up the gabs. - widen skada and chat pannels. Make chat pannel to partly overlay Buttom1 (in order to widen the chat underlay) or make additional window if you need it for any purpose to left of default chat underlay. You may also duplicate chat pannel and do both. - You shall be set by now. Adjust positions of the addons. Move skada, Chinchilla, lunar, chat frames, MBF. Adjust Bartender. You may need to change the sizes of bars for lunar and MBF scale. PS: I am phisically unable to suppor 1920x1080. My screen is too little to set this resolution into use. Sorry. Hope you will get there, enjoy!

Finally, my UI has landed!
I love this UI, I've been using my homemade UI for a long time but from time to time I like to change things up a bit, keeps things fresh for me.
There is only one major problem I'm having, I use 1920x1080 WS. I figured that I'd have to do some moving of KG panels to make things work but I am having a problem getting the panels to overlay each other properly. It's between the Chat Panel and the Bottom 1 panel and the Skada and the Bottom 2. Can't seem to get to fit quite right Any advice to make this easier or will there eventually be support for 1920x1080? Awesome looking besides my own ineptness! |

I went to the curse.com page for Sunn Art, and I found out how to hide the entire UI for the purposes of taking a screenshot. You bind Alt+Z to Sunn Art in the keybindings, works like a charm. Also just want to say again I love your UI. I can't imagine using another. My resolution is 1400x900 and it still looks great! Just messed with XPerl a bit and I was set. I'm looking forward to when you have time to update for my resolution though. Take care! ~Saer |
