Ion: Alerts 

I couldn't get the alert bars to work no matter what I tried. The consistent symptom is that the standard loot bars appear but I am unable to greed/need. So, I removed the Macaroon Alert module and all is well — albeit without Macaroon Alerts.

I haven't tried completely removing Macaroon and reinstalling it, or disabling all addons except for Macaroon. Either would involve a lot more experimentation than I am currently willing to do. But, I'll let you know if I learn anything more.

Hi - as of two days ago I have started to have the same probs as mentioned below. I have the Alert bars set up and they used to allow me to loot (need/greed/de) as normal.

I had a single profile "Prof1" set up for my toon which I used for each set of talents (I had two variations on an Arcane theme).

Only thing I have done differently in last few days is to change my second talent tree completely and set up a new profile that switches in when I change. To be precise I enabled profile switching, made a copy of the first profile "Prof2", switched talents, moved the new spells to the action bars, and resaved the profile "Prof2".

Ever since I've done this I cant loot greens or blues in a group. Only way to get loot was for an understanding player to trade me - or for me to log out, disable adds (I disabled all) and come back in with clean UI

I've now disabled Macaroon Alerts with all other addons enabled. Will see what happens

Mine used to work too. it started randomly.

Use /console reloadui so Alerts will work again!

if you have atlasloot, you could try disabling only that, and seeing if that has any different effects.

if it does, please describe those effects here in full detail as best you can.

but, if disabling atlasloot doesn't have any noticeable effects, or if you don't have atlasloot, you could always try disabling other mods, and looking for any changes.

or, if you want to do this really thoroughly and carefully, start with having only the macaroon mods enabled, and then enabling your other mods, one or two at a time.

Hi - apols its been a while since I replied - have been busy on a number of fronts.

I've been trying to determine by switching off individual addons which one is conflicting with my loot alert. Unfortunately this is a long process since it only happens in a group and with loot that needs rolling on (money and greys are fine). Whilst I dont have atlas loot I do have other addons. Unfortunately I couldnt find any addon that seemed to make a difference.

I did notice I had some old config files for Macaroon Loot and I ended up doing a full purge from my wtf folder for all lua's no longer in use. I also purged the Macaroon Alert lua's and deleted the folder from Interface\Addons. I then reloaded Macaroon Alert from new. Please note, when I first had the problem I did a full purge on all Macaroon Alert files but hadnt spotted the Macaroon Loot luas - this didnt resolve the prob hence my original post.

Going back into the game all now seemed to work OK and has been working fine for three-four days. Last night I activated my second talent spec (from the standard Blizz talent pane) for some of the last bosses in HoO. Macaroon applied the correct profile. Unfortunately when the boss went down I wasnt able to loot. I could see the loot on the boss (not via the Alert window) but couldnt select need/greed/disenchant. Gave the me same message as before "That loot is already being rolled for"

I flipped back into my first set of talents. Macaroon applied the correct profile and the Macaroon Alert window popped up with the item showing although I couldnt interact with the window. I logged out, disabled the Macaroon Alert addon and logged back in. I was able to loot the boss using the blizz interface. I realise now that I could have tried a UI refresh - not sure why I didnt tbh - prob too tired.

I'll log back in today with the addon enabled and keep it in my primary talent to see if I can loot.

[edit]. Have gone back in on first talent spec and can loot ok. changing to second spec stops loot.

Having a similar issue as others with the loot windows in Dungeon Finder. (i.e. unable to roll on loot, no loot window appears) I use Macaroon on two toons, and this only happens on my Paladin, for which I have two specs set. It started after I set up the second spec. Prior to that, no issues, and still no issue on my Death Knight, which has only one spec configured. I'll keep an eye on this and disable Alerts module until it's fixed. I can't afford to lose out on potential upgrades, and I can easily live with the default Blizzard alerts.

Edit: /console reloadui and deleting the cache folder didn't fix this for me (tried that first)
2nd Edit: Disabling the Alerts module resolves the problem for me, so there is definitely something wonky going on with this module.

If it helps, I'm using the following macro to switch specs:

/equipset [spec:1]Heal; [spec:2]Tank
/usetalents [spec:1]2; [spec:2]1

Which when I click it, changes to the spec I'm not currently in and equips the appropriate gear set.

Under Macaroon Profile options, I have "Enable profile switching upon spec change" checked and I filled in the profile names I want used for each spec in the boxes below it. Those are the only options I have changed from defaults. When I had the Alert module installed the only thing I messed with was its position on the screen. I didn't change any of the default options for the alert bar.

Up until last week I was not having issues with dual spec and looting (I had a fresh wow install and used the most updated version). I was able to switch specs between various toons and not have an issue. Then all of a sudden it started up again. It was the exact same issue as before. I was on one of my lower level toons and switched from Shadow to my Holy spec and I could no longer loot. I don't know if this has something to do with switching specs in an instance or not.

Other then changing the size of the loot buttons and changing them from the default 1 column by 4 rows to 2 columns by 2 rows I haven't made any other changes to the loot buttons.

I have noticed I cannot have the alerts active on any of my toons. I am having the same issue on them all. I have 'Enable profile switching upon spec change' checked and filled out with my two different specs. For the loot buttons I changed them from the default 1 column by 4 rows to 2 columns by 2 rows and reduced the scale. My other action bars only have showgrid checked, have the scale reduced, have the h pad and v pad increased.

I have looked at other posts and I can not see what might be checked or activated that is causing this issue. I have done a fresh install and still it comes up. When someone has a moment do you mind letting me know what should NOT be clicked/used when a solution has been found.
