This addon is lovely, but I'm totally confused with all these double options...
Under Nameplate Options, there's a bunch of scale, alpha and color settings. But under Threat Options, there are more scale, alpha and color settings... Do these settings add up, or are they multiplicative? Or does one override the other? For example, if I choose pink as "Low Threat Color" under Nameplate Options, what effect does that have if I have green as "Low Threat Color" under DPS Threat levels? Furthermore, I noticed that when you select a target, all unselected nameplates become almost completely transparent. Can this be adjusted somewhere? They are hardly visible now. Also, how does this transparency work together with the alpha threat settings? Does it fade even more if I have low threat on that unselected target? And does it become opaque when I'm about to aggro it? Lastly, what do the sliders under "Unit Type Threat Offsets" do?

I have however noticed quite a difference between the beta alpha difference and the live version:

Hi,
I'd like to put in my 2 cents for how features are implemented / feature requests on this great mod. 1. The mod currently makes the non-selected target have a lower alpha value. This has the effect of making non-targetted mobs really difficult to see / target. Please add an option to control this behavior so that we can adjust it manually. I like the idea of having non-targetted mobs a different alapha, its just a bit severe. 2. Allow us to set the text color for mob names. Currently mob names go through white text, yellow text, red text and I can't for the life of me figure out the rhyme or reason. Combined with #1 above, a 40% alpha nameplate with red text is EXTREMELY difficult to read to target the correct mob in a pack of nameplates. Thanks a bunch. |

This is a consistently awesome mod thus far I've been using it for almost two months now.
One I didn't find mentioned in the thread (or I'm just blind) is this disposition of the name plate background layer. See here. Has anyone encountered/fixed this? |

Truly great mod, i love the ability to scale the nameplates according to classifications.
Few things I think would improve this add-on tremendously is: - The ability to change the size of player nameplates separately from the rest. Mostly because i want to be able to have normal mobs really small, elites bigger and so on, but i would love to be able to have player nameplates the same size as elites. - Would be cool if the 'neutral' mobs did not include elites and bosses. Or have an option to exclude them in the neutral scaling, or extra options for scaling of neutral elites, etc. - The ability to remove the Skull from Boss mobs, or move it to another spot or even have it in place of the mobs level, like the default UI. - For overlapping Nameplates, it would be cool to have target take priority over the rest on the strata so that it appears on top and easier to see. As well as having elites overlap normals. So an option to configure the strata of nameplates would be excellent, if at all possible. I am actually a fan of Clean Plates except it doesn't quite have the options this one does but couple things I found really interesting about that one is: - Having the Totem Icon above the totems, which is pimp for pvp. And possibly the ability to change the sizes of the nameplates for totems separately. - Faction Champion class Icons and spec indicator. In fact it would be awesome if you merged the 2 add-ons since they are both by you and very similar in style. Also one last thing is that its possible its not implemented yet but cast bar spell names aren't being shown. I've tried to turn the option off and on and its not working for me.

If you don't want that to happen in the "namplate options" you can scroll down and change the non-combat nameplate glows as well. |

Re: CastBarText
http://www.wowinterface.com/portal.p...bug&bugid=6407 I'm attempting a fix to this problem, at least for myself. I'm looking for more users having this issue if any. Basically target someone and have them cast with the default grey theme and see if the cast text stays there after their cast is finished. |
