by: sailen [More]

Description:

Party Builder is a tool for quickly building a pick-up group.
How to use it:
  1. Design your message. Keywords like NAME, CLASS, ROLE, and ZONE will be filled in automatically.
  2. Choose the level range.
  3. Click a class icon to see who's available on the server. Automatically filters people already in instances or BG (optional).
  4. Click one or more role icons (dps, healer, tank). (optional)
  5. Choose a zone from the dropdown box. (optional)
  6. Press the blue arrow for one of the classes.
  7. Hover over a name to see a message log for that person.
  8. If you get a yes, click the name to invite/message them. If not, keep pressing the blue arrow and repeat until you find what you're looking for.
  9. Click the recycle bin to reset the form.
  10. Enjoy your full group.

So far it's very helpful =)

Another suggestion - add filtering to instance list. It's a bit too long to be easy to navigate. Maybe with checkboxes where you can select which expansion instances you want to see in the list. Or if you want to put more effort in it maybe combine tree and list widget and put instances in groups like this:
Closed
Code:
 -----------------------
[ The Violet Hold | V ]
 -----------------------
Open
Code:
 -----------------------
[ The Violet Hold | - ]
 -----------------------
|+ Vanilla |^|
|- TBC |-|
| - .... | |
| - .... | |
| - The Underborg | |
| - .... | |
| - etc | |
|+ WotLK |V|
 -----------------------

Yes, it's cap sensitive. Type /PartyBuilder

edit: actually it's not cap sensitive, /partybuilder should work. The advanced options are thru slash commands

Sure, I can do that.

I can add those too.

Thanks for the feedback.

heh, I love the buttons. My requests are as follows:

Close when I hit esc.

When I choose an instance, automatically set the level bounds as appropriate for the instance.

Agreed with the first poster, other addons I've seen similar to this before haven't been as nice. My best one was buggy. Sometimes it would try to tell me that warriors were really paladins, and ask them to come heal for me. It got embarrasing, so I had to delete it. :$ lol Anyways, great work!

Quite a nice start. I've seen several similar addons in the past but this looks like one of the best.

Can you please add mouse-over tooltips for each button explaining what it does. First time you use it, it's a bit hard to guess what each button does especially when you don't want to accidentally spam people.

Also those glossy icons stand out, but I understand that it's hard to find themed icons.
