A simple AddOn that provides details about your leveling progress; including the number of kills, quests, dungeons, battlegrounds, pet battles, mining and herb nodes needed, as well as a time estimate.
- Resurrected and updated to work with BFA and Classic!
Note that Classic specific files are available in the linked "XToLevel Classic" project under Other Files.
The retail file will also work fine with Classic, you just need to allow out-of-date addons.

Now that you mentioned it, it does only occur on load, and it's not really effecting any functionality of the addon.
Thanks for the prompt reply. |

Thanks for the nice reply
![]() Turns out that yes, I failed to extract the locale files at the bottom of the (folder-sorted) ZIP. I test things with standalone libraries and/or personally updated ones, so tend not to extract mod-included libraries. And missed the locale files. Once the locales were out and loading, no further problems. Preliminary testing: very nice. Glad to see the LDB display option. Especially nice is that XToLevel--unlike a lot of XP measuring mods--uses no memory or CPU time whatsoever on character idle (tested with OptionHouse, CPU profiling enabled). Thanks again. |

Great addon
Unfortunately I have to disable tooltips on this addon because I scaled my tooltips down but this addon resets the tooltips to 100% upon every mouseover.
If you could disable the scaling reset it would be very helpful since I don't think its necessary to do so and I could get more out of the mod which is already rather helpful. |

Re: Great addon
Hey spAnser.
Thanks for pointing this out. This was an oversight on my part, my code incorrectly assumes the tooltip scale is always 100%, even when it is not. I'm sorry for the trouble. I'll be creating a fix for this as soon as I can. In the meantime, there is an easy way to fix this manually, by altering the code responsible for the tooltip in this addon:
In any case, you can expect a proper fix for this in the next few days. Thanks again. |

Hrm
I just installed this mod on a new pc of mine, all default settings for WoW and I got this.
Code:
Message: Interface\FrameXML\InterfaceOptionsFrame.lua:435: Usage: InterfaceOptionsFrame_OpenToCategory("categoryName" or panel) Time: 07/03/10 11:29:13 Count: 10 Stack: [C]: in function `assert' Interface\FrameXML\InterfaceOptionsFrame.lua:435: in function `InterfaceOptionsFrame_OpenToCategory' Interface\AddOns\XToLevel\Config.lua:239: in function `Open' [string "*:OnMouseUp"]:2: in function <[string "*:OnMouseUp"]:1> Locals: (*temporary) = nil (*temporary) = "Usage: InterfaceOptionsFrame_OpenToCategory("categoryName" or panel)" |

Re: Hrm
Hey noxmonk.
Thanks for reporting this. I've been trying to reproduce the error, but I can't seem to be able to do that. The message suggests this is a problem with how the configuration is opened when clicking the info window and/or the LDB source, but there doesn't seem to be any problems in the code. And all my tests work without any errors. Can you tell me more about what was happening when the error was shown? Did it have any effect on the addon, other than showing the error? (Like preventing you from opening the configuration?) Do you have any other addons installed? I've seen weird behavior when other addons mess with the configuration window itself. I'm going to be releasing a minor, post-patch, bug fix release in a few hours. I'll rewrite that part of the code to silence the error, except when in debug mode. Thanks again! - Atli |

Re: Re: Hrm
Thanks for the quick reply Alti!
Yes, it did disallow the configuration window to be opened. I installed something called gUI by goldpaw initially and thought that it may have been that. So I deleted my interface and WTF folders, and redownloaded and created the interface folder with just XTL. Again the problem persisted. The strange thing is I use a backup from a week or so ago of the wtf/interface folder I had then, and XTL works fine. Wierd. -noxmonk |

Re: Re: Re: Hrm
It seems that if a section in the Interface/AddOns interface is out of sight (so that you would have to scroll to see it), a direct call to that panel will not work, but just bring up the last used section or the first one in the list. I'm not sure if this is a bug in Blizzard's UI or an incompatibility with another AddOn, but since I never noticed this before the 3.3.5 patch I would guess the former. I've spend a fair few hours juggling AddOns to see if I can find one that is causing this, but so far I haven't had any luck. (And I have tested all the AddOns in my own UI so it seems unlikely it is an incompatibility.) In any case, I have not found a workaround for this, but I am releasing a version that removes the possibility that this will bring up an error message. If you are affected by this, I'm afraid your only method of accessing the config window is to manually navigate there. -- Also note that this does not just affect XToLevel, but any AddOn that attempts to create a short-cut to an out-of-sight config section. (E.g. CritLine and Mapster are both affected as well.) |
