Note: This AddOn is not currently being updated. It should still work overall (probably until Cataclysm changes a lot of things). Unfortunately I have not been playing WoW as regularly and I do not have the time to update my AddOns. If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected].

This AddOn equips your Chef's Hat when you open your cooking window. Wearing the Chef's Hat now speeds up your cooking, so this mod will help you wear the appropriate attire when you enter Kitchen Stadium!

When you open your Cooking window, Iron Chef will help by:
* Equipping your Chef's Hat if found (and turning on helm display)
* Changing your title to "Chef" if you are a Chef

When you close the Cooking window, it will restore your hat and title to their pre-cooking values.

Iron Chef will only work properly out of combat, since it has to equip your Chef's Hat. If you're cooking in combat, let's just say you have some bigger fish to fry.

Would it be possible to check for the achievement first and if not completed do not run the rest of the addon?

Sorry to hear about this, I'm using the same item-swapping code that I use in CasterWeaponSwapper. It basically picks up the Chef's Hat and drops it in your hat slot. Are you using any unusual inventory or equipment-set mods?

I will take another look at the code and see if I can add some more checks into it.

Edit: Version 1.1 is out now, which I hope addresses this issue.

I was just wondering when 3.2 came out how I was ever going to remember to put my hat on. I have a problem and then maybe a request that I thought of because of my problem. One of my addons seems to open my tradeskills just before I log off. Well this presents a problem with your addon because I always logoff with my chef's hat on. I guess it's not a problem as more of an annoyance because I may forget to put my other helm on for combat. My request would be some way to toggle between the 2 states manually for just those instances where I want to taunt my fellow guildies with my superior cooking attire. lol. Anyway. thanks.

Ayup. "Allez cuisine" is "(you-plural) go kitchen", and it looks just as odd in French as it does in English.

Well, there's some uncertainty about it being "Allez cuisine." I am told that "Allez cuisine" is not correct French, that rather "A la cuisine" is the proper French for "To the kitchen." Some people in fact say that is what Chairman Kaga says at the start of each show.

In any case, I decided to go with the proper French way of saying with it, because Cooking is clearly serious business.
