Will this work if only the GM has it or is it one of those mods that everyone in the guild would have to install?

OK I'm running into what I think is a minor issue. Any time I try to use GC5b5 to create a private event more than 10 days in advance I get the following error.
Interface\AddOns\GroupCalendar5\GC5ScheduleLib.lua: 1147: assertion failed! I can create in the ingame cal just fine but my guild runs with another so we need to be able to send invites to both. |

5.0b7 is up now and should fix the assert failure as well as numerous other event editing bugs.

So far the new version is working great but I'm having a small issue between myself using the addon and those in the guild who are not. When they open up the events in the normal calender the description is all but useless. It's filled with extra text like "[L:80,/C:ROLE:X25:M4,14:H4,6:T4,6:R4,14/D:240]" after I enter a description for the event. Is this normal and something we have to just deal with or something else?
Note: When I open the normal calendar I don't see such additions to the description so I'm left to believe they are being added by Group Calendar. |

You don't see it in the WoW calendar if you're running GC5 because GC5 filters the title and description to remove the meta data before it's displayed. Players who aren't running GC5 will see the meta data though, and it will show up on the Armory view of the calendar as well. |

does this version provide for sign-ups?
Just a quick question about this beta version (5) vs. the 4.x versions of group calendar.
Does v 5.x provide a way to allow guild members to sign up for a posted event, *without* being invited directly first? My guild has been using 4.5.1 for raid sign-ups to great effect, and I'm just wondering if that same functionality is (or will be) in 5? If this feature is *not* going to be in 5, could someone here suggest an alternative addon that could provide raid sign-up functionality in-game? Thanks for the great addon! |

Re: does this version provide for sign-ups?
Private events are the original event mode and require you to invite everyone, even if they're guildies, but you can tell when someone declines one of those. |

Re: Re: does this version provide for sign-ups?
Oh my gosh, I had no clue. Thank you for explaining that, and for not just telling me to go rtfm lol. I guess we were so spoiled by group cal. 4.5 that we didn't think to check back in on the blizz cal after patches. Thank you again for pointing that out, and sorry for the stupid question here. With that in mind now...the features in gcal 5 beta make a lot of sense to me too. |
