Jobber  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 30300.2
by: Maul [More]

Jobber
is a Trade Skill replacement interface. It adds features that make using and leveling trade skills easier.

Features -
Larger list of items to view.
Enchanced sorting methods.
The ability to disable confirmation popups related to crafting (i.e. enchanting)
A Procurement Manager to make obtaining and keeping track of needed reagents easier.
Compatible with most "missing receipe" addons.
Not going to happen -
A production Queue.
A note from me -
I have never been satisfied with other TradeSkill replacement addons out there. I dislike the real-estate some of them occupy. I have this OCD thing where I like to watch my character craft stuff. But the Blizz default is somewhat inadequate as well. So I threw together Jobber.

I actually dislike the Queue system most other TradeSkill addons have, as they usually tend to want to keep making things I canceled or I try to process the queue and nothing happens. So don't rely on me adding a queuing system to Jobber. This is an addon to suit what I need out of a tradeskill addon and the feature set will be consistent with that. Unlike my other addons, I am not likely to add features unless I think the idea is realy, realy cool

30300.2 -
Added options to enable/disable the procurement manager showing at the bank, guild bank, mailbox and auction house.

30300.1 -
- Some minor bug fixes
- Works again with Ackis recipe list
- Added trade tabs to the window.

30100.2 -
Added support for Lil Sparky's Workshop. Will only work with the current alpha version found on WoWAce.
Changed the location of the procurement manager to better use screen space when using the tradeskill frame.
Made some procurement manager improvements and added a new sort (sort by character name)
Some bug fixes.

30100.1.3 -
To correct some version weirdness with the last upload.
Some compatibility changes in prep for allowing Jobber to work with other addons like LilSparky's Workshop.

30100.1.2 -
Movable/Resizable frame added

30100.1.1 -
Fixed sorts other than default not updating while crafting.

30100.1 -
Initial release version.
Added a "procurement manager" - aids in figuring out where mats are on other characters and banks.

Further to the Inscription error:

Tried with no addons bar swatter, TMA and of course Jobber and I still get the error. Steps to recreate, I pick "have mats", then choose Parts and select an Ink (in my case Hunters Ink, but it happened no matter what I picked) and hit the Create All button. After the error the create all button does nothing, but create still creates however many items you have set in the little number of items box.

As for the Recipe Radar error, I dunno if it's worth worrying about (I for one am probably going to discontinue using RR) but the error is below. This happens when loading the Tradeskill for the first time.

Nice to see you working on this, I've tried ATSW, Cauldron and Skillet and none of them really did the job (and the queuing always seemed flaky) so I wound up dumping all of them in turn and sticking with the default UI.

One thing I'd love to see included that ATSW (I think) did was include a filter option of "Show items that may give me a skill up". Terrific option if you could add it

Some feedback:

Doesn't get along with Recipe Radar (didn't catch the error will try to get it later).

Throws an error when using "Create All" on inscription. Possibly related to recipe radar. I can however use the create button to create one or more items. Error below;

-Enchanting-like GUI for Runeforging. (Current TS mods suck at that.)
From what I have been able to test so far, Runeforging is treated no different and all features work. However, I do not have a high level DK.

-Counting materials in bank, guild bank and alts. (Maybe from Altoholic API if it has one.)
This is something I plan on adding in conjunction with the shopping list feature. Though, the display of this info will not rely on using the shopping list and should be similar to a format like [5/6/7/6] each number representing where those mats are - [self/bank/guildbank/alts] - for example.

-Two options to make GUI a little wider and full-wide(Blizzard style).
-Option to disable shopping list functions for making recipe description taller.
-Removing unnecessary space for making recipe description page taller:
http://f.imagehost.org/0515/2009-05-13_035521.png
I do plan on making those buttons for the shopping list showable via a toggle option. The "empty" bar in the middle you indicate in the screenshot will actually have a use too. Though, I will make an option to toggle that bar as well.

-Removal of "Exit" button.
I have thought of this, and I may to free up space for other uses.

-An "Options" menu to put all of that options and also moving "Show Levels" in that menu. (After that "Have Materials" could be changed to something longer like "Only Show Craftable".)
An addon options menu in Interface Options will be forth-coming. This release is primarily to test for functionality.

That's what I would do. Those might be a little extreme if you are planning a minimalistic addon.

Great addon. Keep it up... [/b]
Thanks for the suggestions The addon is planned to be minimal in the sense I am not going to make it a "has every feature anyone could want" addon. For example, no queuing as I myself do not really see it as a useful feature since it requires a hardware event to start a new batch anyhow. Not much different than just selecting the item in the list and clicking "create all".

Someone heard our prayers at last. I hate the queue system in both ATSW and Skillet. I was looking for something more simple.

I will have some suggestions too: (I can't test it now so forgive me if I ask about something that is already done...)

Currently I use Avanced Tradeskill Window- the other thing I like about it is the ability to custom-sort items.
I agree, and that is why the one feature I am working on is a shopping list. I plan to have a shopping list system that will not rely on a queuing system.
