Rare Spawn Overlay  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Shades the area of all Northrend and Outland maps with the location of Rare Spawns.

commands:
/rso [on|off|toggle]
/rso [show|hide] [worldmap|worldlegend|battlefieldmap]
/rso config

hover over map legend for image of rare mob.

4.0.30100 (June 18, 2009):
API added (see RSO-API.lua)
Portraits of rare spawns and common data moved to LibRareSpawns (also a new project).
Stuff shuffled around to make way for new add-on (coming within the week).

Version 1.1.30100 (May 2, 2009):
Updated some maps including Howling Fjord (Perobas the Bloodthirster) and Zul'Drak (added Gondria)
Included Outland Maps for all known rare spawns

Carbonite support is low on my list of things to do. The main reason is the first paragraph in their license agreement:
PLEASE READ THIS END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT") CAREFULLY AND MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND IT.
The accompanying executable code version of CARBONITE and related documentation ("Software") is made available under the terms and conditions of this Agreement. IF YOU INSTALL OR USE THE PRODUCT, YOU CONSENT TO BE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS HEREIN, DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THIS PRODUCT.
I'm sure there is more in the license agreement i disagree with, but, this is the start: i don't understand their license agreement and am uninterested in helping them proliferate software that has agreements I can't understand in 10 seconds or less.

Make it work with Carbonite?

Hi,

thx for youre nice Addon, but can you make it to work with Carbonites Worldmap? Carbonite clones the Data from orginal Worldmap to Carbonites Worldmap (so you can see Herbs + others). Why i whish this.. with carbonite its easy to mark a Waypoint and flight to him... now a have to open the orginal Worldmap every time to see.. iam on the correct Way?

The overlay images are uncompressed. If anyone has a suggestion on how to create compressed .blp files, please make it.

You can hide the legend "/rso hide worldlegend"

For some reason the size of this addon's folder as appearing on disk is over 58 megs. How is that possible? lol

Also, any way to lock the current selections in place to hide the checkmarks when we dont need them?

But it never happened before, only when I enable Rare Spawn Overlay the current zone is fixed and the map can't be changed.
As soon as I disable this addon I can change zones on the map and they stay active.

It looks like this is a general problem with showing the battlefield map (shift-M) as well as other mods.

Hi, great mod. Could you make the setting (on/off) stick when re-starting wow? Or tell me how to modify the code to set it to off upon player login? I'd prefer to only have it on when I want, not every time I start wow.

Currently, there is no way to do this. Possibly in an upcoming release.
