What is this? - This is a full replacement for the default Blizzard user interface(UI). The general idea came from a UI known as MazzleUI. The GrimUI core itself controls your unit frames, artwork, some action buttons and a whole lot more! Best of all, it does this with out you spending hours on placing frames. It looks and functions much like MazzleUI did, it is also similar to nUI if you are familiar with that. GrimUI out of the box should require no setup itself. Macaroon handles the main action buttons and is included. GrimUI will setup a default Macaroon layout. Check out GrimUI on Facebook GrimUI Fan Page

How do I use it? - First you must download this file. Then back up your current Interface and WTF folders in your World of Warcraft directory, in case you decide to revert back. It is best to delete your current WTF and any AddOns in the AddOn folder however GrimUI should install and function with other AddOn's just fine. Place the the files in the zip file you downloaded into the Interface/AddOns folder.

When you first enter the game on a fresh install the chat frames may appear funny, or its possible sometimes for errors to pop on fresh installs if your say under attack when you log in or in a party or raid. If your chat frames or other frames are out of place Right-Click the GrimUI button on the right side of the screen to access the various reset buttons in the GrimUI options panel. The options panel can also be accessed through the normal Blizzard AddOn Options.

GrimUI should now be setup! Other AddOns that are included with the GrimUI for your convenience may require additional setup.

Will it work for me? - This UI was designed on a wide screen in a 1920 x 1200 resolution. It was also designed to self adjust for any resolution. I have tested it at other resolutions and they seem to work fine. If you have any problems please post them in the bug section.

Will it work in the future? - You can update most AddOns included in the package either here or at Curse without losing your settings. The GrimUI interface will continue to be updated and grow as long as their is sufficient interest from the community AND motivation for its coders Any help testing, or coding would be greatly appreciated. NOTE/UPDATE: Version 4.0.01 Has many variable changes, a fresh install is recommended!! If you experience errors please try removing the GrimUI.wtf file.

PartyFrames are now movable as well as most other frames!!!! Ctrl-LeftClick just above your name or a party members name to grab a hold of the frame and move it. To reset the frames click the rest button in the GrimUI options panel.

You can attempt to use the WTF's from previous versions of the interface, but note this does not always work and can cause other problems.

No longer needed the options for the world map because the world map was fixed on blizz's end and no longer taints.

Load On Demand Behavior was adjusted for the Development tools to stop them from loading everytime. They should no only load when you have selected to have them load.

Threat was added to target window. Its just a big number in the name section right now. Next version ill have cleaned that up. For now make sure it works and actually lets you know when your going to steal aggro.

Action bars may not look all that great when you have the take over action bar up because there was some issues and have not fixed it all the way but its playable.

quick question

Hey I love your UI but I was having one slight issue. I can't seem to find the addon that controls the constant fel armor healing and cast damage. I wanted to make the font smaller and make it arcing since it is right in the middle of my screen and I have a hard time seeing around it. I looked in smartbuff and couldn't find anything. Also I tried to change the combat text in the regular blizzard interface stuff and that didn't help. Can you please help me? Thanks!

I still have one problem i need help with.

Casting bars
I have 3 of them.
1. One from the program where you can make and customize barrs and buttons.
2. One from the Duff program.
3. One this one wich dont want to move or whatsoever, its a rather big and thick one ( I am talking about the Castbars ofcourse ).

My interest is to remove the 3th one since i already have done it with the 1th one .
So i would only use the Castbar from wich is accesable from with in Duf..


Anyone ??

SO you are saying you have 3 cast bars? There should only be two that i can think of off hand. One is your targets cast bar not yours and it should appear under the 3d char in the target cave. Another one is above that cave and this is YOUR casting bar timer.

Ok.. i made it. it was not so hard to work with Duf all you have to do is take some time for it..

As for the 3D pedestal, that is controlled by Discord. Type /DUF to access the stuff to move that around. If you cant get it to move where you want it you have got me beat as i can move it all over.

At last.... MetaHud which i may actually replace with DHUD soon. Those sleep bubbles are telling you your resting. Yes two of them appear, one left of your 3D portrait which is controlled by DUF, and another by MetaHud which is controlled by MetaHud. As far as moving the rest of the HUD. A lot of controls were recently removed or changed in MetaHUD and im not sure how to get half of it where i would like it again. May replace with DHUD or other more functional and customizable HUD.

Fonts,
Since i have a big screen is it sometimes hard to read the fonts , getting a sore neck from looking from one side to the other side.
Is there a possibillity to adjust the fonts wich is used ?

3D models,
The models i can move around and adjust the shape... no problem.
But i have more problems with the little plateau (or little Pin) where i can put on my Model.
I cannot move it around and is positioned in the middle of the spare room on the left side of the screen where normally the textboxes are positioned.. pls help me out.

Meta Hub.
Is there a way to adjust the size of the hub since i have lots of space on my screen..
Have also 2 cast bars, onw is accesable and movable.. but the other is just sticking where it is. have also notished 2 little balloons with ZZZ inside.. like a sleep thingie ?

First, YES heh i get that problem to with small fonts and sizes on a huge screen. its what happens when you try to pack so much in to it. You can how ever change the fonts either threw individual addons or by downloading an addon called Fontain. It was in the package until just a few days ago. Iam trying to downsize some things.

As for the 3D pedestal, that is controlled by Discord. Type /DUF to access the stuff to move that around. If you cant get it to move where you want it you have got me beat as i can move it all over.

At last.... MetaHud which i may actually replace with DHUD soon. Those sleep bubbles are telling you your resting. Yes two of them appear, one left of your 3D portrait which is controlled by DUF, and another by MetaHud which is controlled by MetaHud. As far as moving the rest of the HUD. A lot of controls were recently removed or changed in MetaHUD and im not sure how to get half of it where i would like it again. May replace with DHUD or other more functional and customizable HUD.

That black bar is the objectives bar. Its controlled by the Blizzered interface controls. It is part of Blizzerds stuff.

Few qustions

I have tried out a few different UI's and must say that yours looks best.
But have a few questions.

Lately i have bought the new LED TV from Samsung wich is awesome, hooked up my Comp and must say the result is GIGANTIC (no more poststamp).

ok, here it comes.

Fonts,
Since i have a big screen is it sometimes hard to read the fonts , getting a sore neck from looking from one side to the other side.
Is there a possibillity to adjust the fonts wich is used ?

Any chance you will be updating this package for 3.2? I have tried to mess with the various addons individually, but I fail. I had gotten very used to your nice setup and am having a hard time finding a good replacement!

As i said. You are not seeing things right. There are many things misplaced and out of whack on that frap. No 3d chars for party mode. Not enough room right to left between the right and left wings and the target cave to display a 40 man raid properly. Not that they are used anymore lol.

Trust me you have not had the true mazzle experience until you have gotten a monitor 24 inches or more and graphics cards to support 1900x1220.

You actually did not see things correctly with Mazzle. No one did. There was always a size/ratio issue when it wasn't run in max resolution as far as the layout of the bottom graphix compared to the things controlled by DUF and the raid frames. What does this mean? It means unless you view the UI in a certain res at a certain scale with a certain aspect ratio its not going to sit right or function properly.

I will post a screeny later of the exact settings it was created in. Plain and simple, you will need to try dif screen res's and aspects. The one you currently are using is not capable of displaying things right.

MazzleUI did allow you to chose settings that would for the most part make things work somewhat proper but what it boils down to is those of you who used small screens with Mazzles UI were not seeing things exactly right. Im a stickler for perfection it was because i realized i was not seeing mazzle's ui as he intended it that caused me to buy a huge screen and the graphics cards to support max res and scales.
